Going back to the Pet Store, Lotus sighed heavily. Another abusive owner is coming to get me, she thought. The guards put a special kind of collar and cuffs on her so she couldn't shift and get away. Maybe I should start being more violet, I'm sick of being pushed over. The next time they let me out of this cage and into the hands of an abusive owner, I'll kill all of them, she vowed. They led her back to her first cage, it looked rusty but had a brand new door put on it. It was so small, she would have to crawl to get inside of it and they loved degrading her that way. "Can't you put me in one, a little bit bigger?" But it was no use, they won't listen to her.
"Why would we? You'll just run away, just like you ran from your previous Masters!" One guard scoffed at her, as if he was offended that she even asked to be put in a bigger cage and the other basically forced her into it.
Falling to her knees, Lotus did her best to crawl into the cage, but with her hands behind her back it was too hard. One guard tried to force her into the cage, but all it did was give her a scrape on her arm and face and nothing else. Finally, they took the cuffs off her and she was able to crawl into the cage, then when they closed the door, the cuffs were back on. Even with them off, she wasn't able to change into anything. Sighing heavily once more, she looked around and hoped someone would get her.

Wynter obediently followed the warehouse employee who was leading her to a cage by a leash. She knew exactly what was waiting for her -another abusive Master. She has been a slave since she was old enough to talk clearly and that was way too many years ago. Despite looking human, she really wasn't. She's half vampire and half elf. She didn't know her exact age but according to her last Master, she apparently looked like a human in her early 20s. All she had on was a t-shirt that was too big and falling off one of her shoulders and a pair of torn jeans that were a little baggy on her. What little bit of skin could be seen was covered in scars- something her previous Masters always admired. When the employee stopped in front of a familiar cage and reached into his pocket for the key to the cage, she whimpered and scampered away as far as her leash would allow. Trembling, she watched him unlock the cage door and open it for her. Heeding her last Masters warning, the employee avoided looking at Wynter as she scampered into her cage. Her old Master had told him to be very careful and not look into her eyes or look at her at all. Why you ask? Because, for one, whenever she was bought by a new Master, they always made the mistake of looking directly into her eyes where they saw the haunting results of unknown years of abuse and the brokenness and hopelessness that she obviously felt after such a long period of abuse. They never made that mistake again because they would have her blindfolded before summoning her. The second reason was because of her mixed heritage, she was unnaturally beautiful which obviously made the female masters insanely jealous and the wives of the male masters insanely jealous as well. The employee quickly shut and locked the cage door and exited the warehouse. Once she was certain he was gone, she laid down on the cold floor of the cage and stared silently and blankly at the bars in front of her. She had long ago given up hope of ever getting a kind gentle master. The male masters were usually kind at first but then when their wife seen her and became jealous then the wife would be her master. Those stupid women never could handle seeing someone prettier than them anywhere near their husband for fear of him realizing that they were ugly inside and out. Wynter knew that her fate was to die at the hands of a cruel master.
David put down the sword he was working on and wiped his brow. He was nearly finished with this one, and once he had finished it, he put out the fire in his forge. He was done in the forge for the day, and there was something he wanted to check out. It was a shop in town that specialized in selling "pets." From what he'd heard from some of his friends, it held a lot of "pets." After making sure the fire was cold, he removed his apron and got in his car. Starting the engine, he drove into town and parked the car in the shop's parking lot. Shutting the engine off, he got out and locked the car behind him, then went into the shop. He wasn't interested in the more meek and docile ones, he wanted someone he might have a challenge with, so he headed for the warehouse.
Upon reaching the warehouse, he smelled fear and sensed sorrow and anger. There was one direction in particular it was coming from, and he followed his nose to a cage that held a young woman. She was pale, lying down in her cage. David also noticed that she was very beautiful, which was something he liked. He decided he wanted her, and he knelt down in front of her cage. "Hello, beautiful," he said quietly. "What's yer name?"

Wynter had heard someone come into the warehouse and then went back to staring blankly at the bars on her cage, not expecting the person to come to her cage. At the sound of someone talking to her, she slowly sat up and looked at the man kneeling in front of her cage with haunted and weary eyes. "My name is Wynter. What's yours," she said softly, ignoring the fact that he called her beautiful. She hated that she was so "beautiful as it had done nothing but cause her misery and pain. As she waited for a response, she slowly moved into a more comfortable sitting position causing the collar of her shirt to slide further down her slender arm and reveal a very fresh scar that looked to have been left by a whip or chain of some sort. She was a little weak from lack of food and blood as well as sleep deprivation.
David smiled when the young woman spoke. "Ye have a pretty name, Wynter," he said. "My name is David. How long have ye been in this warehouse?" He noticed that as she sat up, the too-large T-shirt she was wearing fell further down one shoulder and revealed a scar that looked fairly fresh. He frowned when he saw this, not liking the thought of someone beating Wynter. She was too beautiful for that kind of treatment. He sensed that she was weak from hunger, and she looked like she hadn't slept in quite a while. His wolf instinct was telling him to get her out of the warehouse, and soon. "How would ye like to get out of this place and come home with me, Wynter?" he asked. "I'd like to give ye a warm place to sleep and a good meal."

Wynter smiled softly and shyly at David, the weariness easing a little out of her eyes. "It's a pleasure to meet you, David. My last master returned me recently however I cannot tell you exactly how long I've been here as time seems to blend together here," she said softly, brushing her hair away from her face and revealing pointed ears. When he asked her if she would like to leave here with him and told her that he wanted to give her a warm place to sleep and a hot meal, her smile brightened which at the same time brightened her eyes. "I would love to go home with you, " she exclaimed happily, quickly moving closer to the bars of her cage. In her excitement, she had forgotten about her freshly healed scar and ended up clutching her shoulder in pain. Turning her face away so David wouldn't see the tears of pain in her eyes, she bit back a cry of pain.
David smiled back at her, watching as she brushed her hair out of her face and revealed pointed ears. This made him curious, and he wondered what race she was exactly. The pointed ears told him she was part elf, but he didn't know the other part. He watched as she moved closer to the bars of her cage, then clutched her shoulder in pain. He saw tears of pain in her eyes just before she turned away, and he knew the scar on her shoulder was definitely fresh. David rose from his position in front of Wynter's cage, then motioned for one of the guards in the warehouse and paid what was required. This done, he took the key from the guard and unlocked the door to the cage. Tossing the key back to the guard, David opened the cage door and held a hand out to Wynter. "Let's go home, shall we?" he asked with a smile.

Hearing the door to her cage opening, she quickly wiped away her tears and turned to look back at David with a gentle smile. When he offered her his hand, she gently took it and carefully stood up. "Yes, let's, " she said softly, walking out of her cage.
Eric was led in to the warehouse his feet were in shackles as well as his hands the, chain went around his waist and connected to the chains on his feet, they were like the shackles you see on maximum security prisoners. His clothes how ever were clean, sharp, and all black he stood tall around 6 something and quit buff. he had tattoos on him but his neck tattoo stood out the most. he had two men in front of him and two behind him as he walked his eyes stayed forward never did he glance at the other slaves here as he walked by. He seemed to be quit prideful in himself even if he was a slave. He was led into a small cage, however it was tall enough he could stand in it, a single chair sat in it, where he then sat and was chained to said iron chair, that was bolted to the ground. He sat and awaited the next man or woman who would be in need of his services.

Mistress Serene Wind started to walk into the warehouse, she was looking for something in particular. She had her goons to help her with distribution, but every smart leader of an organized drug operation needed guards, and what better way to get a couple than by going to the local pet shop.
Most looked rather boring until she came across the one with the tattoo on his neck, Eric, according to the name plate. Taking a good look to him. "Hmmm, well now...you seem interesting. Tell me about your skills." She says simply.
Eric's eyes moved to meet the woman's eyes when he was spoken to, he sat there for while with out speaking a word "What skills are you looking for." he asked without breaking eye contact with the woman "Iv severed many important people in black markets, in the drug business, and others in a more honest, i use the term loosely, business." shifting a little in the chair the chains moved with him "I was mostly entered in underground fighting arenas." he said still his eyes stayed matching hers his face cold, his body stiff, his voice emotionless and rough. for being in the warehouse he was clean, hair groomed nice, clothes nice and neat.
He said no more after that he just stared at the woman with cold blue green eyes. His hands tightened around the arms of the chair, he could tell the guards stood by in case he made a move, thinking if he did this woman would be helpless, and that irritated him because he rarely harmed women most of the time it was men who came to get him that got a bashing

A soft chuckle left her lips a moment. "My my, now that is not the way this works. I ask the questions and you simply answer them." She stated playfully with a soft smirk as she snapped her fingers, telling the guards she wanted the cage opened. Waiting for him to be released aside from the ankle and wrist shackles. "Fighting...That is good...You see I am looking for someone to be my bodyguard." She stated. "My muscle, and occasionally my enforcer." She spoke as she circled around him like she was inspecting him before coming up close and placing her hand under his chin and pulled his face close to hers a moment. "Would you like a more permanent home?" She whispered in his ear playfully.
He watched as she circled him his hands in fists and his jaw tight in a way he felt like she was being taunted. "I do as im told, most he time." he said as she circled him and told him what she was looking for he stood up straight and did not follow her with his head or eyes as she circled. When she stopped and brought there faces close together he made solid eye contact "You need some one to protect you from your rivals in the drug business." he was rather good at tell what people where when they came to pick him up. the corner of his mouth briefly made a slight smile before going straight again at the mention of a permanent home. "No home is permanent when you are the one being bought." he said with a straight cold face

She giggled softly as he replied about the permanent home. "Yes, but you've already deduced what I want you for. And quite frankly I wouldn't make it a habit of purchasing someone I would let live should they prove unuseful." She says playfully. "So in a way it is..." She added last minute. "So, I plan to take you home...but how long you stay will be up to you...Otherwise I have another home for you to go to." She finished with a devilish grin.
