Heidi shrugged. "I'unno." She didn't really care what time it was. Not really. They sat down and she leaned in to rest her forehead against his, hugging him and holding herself closely against him. She'd missed this.

There was a slight tense when he said he'd have to leave to change. What if he didn't come back? A horrible, horrible thought that she regretted as soon as it crossed her mind, but could anyone really blame her? The kiss made her shiver and close her eyes, and she nodded her head. "Okay," she whispered softly. "You can go get them now, it's fine." Heidi then leaned back a bit to meet hazel eyes, one hand coming up to lightly trail her fingers along his jaw line. "A kiss before you go?"

Sweet gestures like that little nose rub, that meant the world to her. Heidi even giggled and scrunched her nose up with a little smile. She loved him, she loved him so much.

The kiss was happily returned, and when she felt it deepen she encouraged it and tried to make it linger until he ended it. Heidi sighed and smiled again, letting him move her off his lap. Ten minutes. Okay. She nodded. "Ten," she repeated back at him. Please come back.

Her heart raced at the idea of him leaving. She didn't want him to leave. Couldn't he just stay as he was? But Heidi would be good. She'd let him go change, do what he needed to do. She even scoot back on the bed until she was able to get under the covers and wait. Just please, please come back.

He came back. Heidi kept the look of extreme relief off her face but she did smile excitedly when he walked into the room, even bringing his toothbrush. He was going to stay. He was really going to stay! He moved with him as he worked to situate them back into their usual position, but when he was settled she turned to face him instead of away from him. Heidi wanted to look at him and hold him.

Okay and maybe she wanted to be able to kiss him, too.

She reached up to brush the back of her fingers along his jaw. Heidi leaned in to kiss his chin, and then she rubbed the tip of her nose against his and he had done to her earlier. "I missed this, too." She still wanted to talk but not about serious things. Fun things, silly things, stuff they could whisper and giggle about the whole night through like they used to do.

Heidi smiled fondly at Tuck and snuggled close to rest her forehead against his. "I love you."

Heidi smiled. She'd missed that, too. One hand was pressed between them and placed over his heart, the other rest on his neck, her thumb gently stroking his throat. When he asked her what she had planned for tomorrow she hummed thoughtfully. "Trying on some of my cosplays to make sure at least one of them fits so I can wear one on Halloween, wanna stay for that? I might legit need help some of the dresses close up on the back out of my reach." She pouted her lips. "And theeeen I have a couple hours of pod duty, some minipet duty, annnnd kitchen duty before I have the rest of the night free."

Her fingers moved to trace the length of his throat and down his collar bone. "What about you?"

"Oh? Okay~." The touches to her back made her shiver and giggle delightedly, she even leaned in to catch his lips for a kiss, one that lingered sweetly until she spoke again. "Dinner would be nice, I'd like that." Honestly right now she liked anything pleasant with Tuck. It was nice to even be in the same room with him without the heavy tension in the air every time. She kissed him again.

"Mm, come over after, that's fine." She smiled. Would they live together again or keep their separate rooms this time? Ehhh..talk for another day. Heidi just wanted Tuck as he was right now without worrying about any other complications. His eyes closed, Heidi trailed her fingers over his chest, tracing the lines of his muscles. She pulled herself closed with her other arm and draped her leg over his hip to stay against him, her forehead pressed against his and green eyes finally closing. She'd missed this.
