Finally! He got a piece of the mocking shadow as it paused to grin at him. Claw dug into it's stomach, causing it to double over, but when it's head lifted it just smiled wider.

That grinning face was irritating. Seiji slashed at it, managing to open a small cut on one dark cheek.

He got a piece of it again, claws sinking in deep as he forced it back towards the door he could see over a dark shoulder.
This dream was tiring, he was ready to wake up now.

"Get out of the ******** way already!" They were more or less hit for hit, but Seiji knew he was getting in some vicious swipes. The damn shadow was hardy.

With a cold grin Seiji called dark rot to his right hand, and the fingers there stretched and sharpened as well. Then, happily, he drove two claws into the shadow's dark eye sockets.
It when limp against the door, sagging lifelessly for a moment, then dissipated, allowing Seiji to slip past.
