By now, it was undeniable. Lerin had assumed he'd be fine anywhere. He never thought it would matter what country he was in or who he was with or what he did or didn't have access to. But as he stepped foot back in the home base of the Tendajians, of his actual people, a knot he had in his stomach - one he hadn't even known he had - untwisted. No one scowled her sneered at him. Besides a few whoops at teh captured Obans there was hardly and sneering at all. In fact, mostly, he saw only happy smiles. Friends and families reuniting with glee. It certainly was heartening to see after being in the Oban camp.
Even so, he knew about as many of these people as he had there, and he didn't foresee a warm welcoming happening for him anytime in the particularly near future. Instead, he meandered about the camp, arms crossed over his chest. A lot of them were more than eager to go into battle... And he certainly didn't count himself among that group. He was neither fighter nor healer and had only minimal abilities with the animals... Being of use wasn't going to be easy...
In time, he found his way over to a guarded tent, central within the camp, and before it, a woman that he'd only seen a few times before. He didn't even think he'd ever caught her name. But judging from what she'd said when he'd last seen her... She must be quite excited to be here. He meandered up to her side. "'Scuse me," Lerin beamed, turning a flashing white grin upon her. "I couldn't help but notice such a lovely Ice flower standing alone... From how passionately you spoke of escape, I thought... I thought you must have something to return to, so... why are you by yourself?"

Senja: In healer's tent for now Post 11 (1/2 )
Senja, after resting a bit from the long run through the jungle, was looking for Rasitan. He had left Neued to deal with an emergency... so he should be here by now. She thought huffily. He should have been at Neued with her actually... but this way she knew he hadn't fallen in the battle at Neued. Now if only he'd get his butt back to her! "I am so giving him a piece of mind when I see him again..." She muttered to herself as a healer checked her over to make sure she and her baby were fine. Stupid Rastian and letting her get kidnapped! Now that she was safe, she could give in to the panic and fear... discretely of course. No need to completely embarrass herself.
Maybe it was a good thing he wasn't around otherwise she would vent at him....

"Why aren't we attacking?!" Naria demanded, exasperation heavy in her tone. Around her, the other leaders exchanged glances. There had been general disagreement on whether or not to press the advantage. On the one hand, the Oban camp was in disarray - on the other, the rescued prisoners needed rest. It had only been a few hours since the scouts returned from the Oban camp, and night was falling. Now was the perfect time to strike.
But there was the ongoing argument throughout camp of whether to surrender or not. Many loudly insisted that they couldn't surrender, and Naria agreed vehemently with that - but the arguing made the business of the camp grind to a halt. So while many of the leaders agreed that they should advance soon, the tenseness of the camp made Antiope and Enlil resist. "We should definitely not surrender, but these people are worried for their homes." Enlil said, as calmly as he could, shaking his head at his brother and Naria's offended looks.
As the leaders talked, Yansa tapped her finger against her lance."This arguing and lack of direction is making everyone lose patience - we move, and we move now, or we will risk losing the upper hand."
"At the very least, those who returned said the Oban leader is incompetent. We should attack before they find someone else to --"
Whatever Vescillea was saying was lost amidst the sounds of war cries, and the rhythmic pounding of spears against the ground. In the dark of twilight, in the grass beyond the Tale camp, was the vanguard of the Oban army.
"Wh-- but how?!"
"Your indecision may have cost us our victory. Our enemy does not coddle its injured." Naria cried, rushing from the tent and clambering up onto her Yaotl's back. "Make ready for battle, Tendaji!"
Despite the chaos unleashed on their camp, the Oban army is once again poised to attack! Their war beasts are visible on the horizon, but not yet close enough to attack - for now there only seems to be a small vanguard of the skilled soldiers and mages. For now, those who aren't running to join the fight are left with an enemy at their door - how will they proceed under pressure?

Dyakida – Alkidike Artisan Resistance, Tale Camp, Around: With Peyla
Battle. She had no place there. Dyakida stayed back in the camp, feeling it empty of warriors and leave behind a terrible loneliness. At least she had Peyla – the sprite was a piece of welcome familiarity.
She had thought that a terrible fate had befallen her sprite, but here she was, snuggling into her neck and very much alive. So why had help not come until Ceyede? Had Peyla simply begged the wrong person? Dyakida didn't know.
What she did know was that she was idle, and she didn't like that. She stood from the cot she had been granted and, a guiding stick in hand (since her staff and tools were still in the custody of the Obans) wandered outside into the eerie emptiness of the war camp.
She listened for anybody who still remained – the children or supporting people who did more good here in the base camp than out in the bloody fields. She felt out of place, a toy that had not been put away. She felt, in a word, useless.
"Good luck!" she called as her friend rushed into battle. She fled back into the tent herself, knowing that she was of better use here than on the front lines. Her nerves were buzzing with anticipation, and her mother came to slip their hands together. Namora patted her daughter's hand and gave it a squeeze.
Everything would be alright. Tendaji had to succeed.
Ime nodded to her mother and broke away to begin preparing necessary salves and potions for the bloodshed.

(Having Ray sit this battle out since it appears we'll be able to deal lots of damage and with his wound it makes sense. Will be helping guard Obans soon I guess... Feel free to meet him!) Rayolun: Is in Healer's Tent for now Post 10
Rayolun staggered back into camp, in pain and tired from the fight and flight from the Oban camp. First thing he did was head towards the healers; his leg needed to be healed if he was to fight! He saw that the pregnant lady had returned, which meant that everyone else must have gotten back since she was part of the last to leave other than him.
As he lay back on a bed roll and let a healer examine the wound he heard Naria's exclamation and heard the sound of the army approaching. He cursed and tried to get up: he needed to join the fight! But the healer pushed him back down; "You're too wounded. Stay and heal and join in tomorrow once your leg is stronger."
Growling he gave in; she spoke sense. If he went out now.. he'd only be a burden to those around him.

K R E S I M I R
Kres's head hung in disappointment. No sooner did he find his momma did she send him off again. Of course...he could understand it...he guessed. With a sigh, Kres figured he'd go find Miss Ime again before heading back to his Daddy and sister. He found his way back to the big tent again to see Ime there and he walked quickly over to her, as he had always been told not to run in the healers tents. "Miss Ime! Momma had to go to battle...she said that I should go find Daddy and tell him to be ready to go just in case. You should come with me! If Momma wants me to do that then she thinks it might be dangerous and you need to be safe because you're special to Momma too. And since Momma said she doesn't know where my Aunt, her sister," He said as if it weren't obvious to everyone else. "I thought if I told you to come with me that most of the people that are special to Momma would be safe and then she'd be happy afterwards that I had kept everyone safe! And I'd make Momma and Daddy proud!" It was a plan he had come up with all on his own! He'd make his parents proud even before he was a prentice!

Ime - post 5 [ tale healing tents ]
When she saw Kresimir come back again, there was a moment of panic. Why was the youngling so close to the battle? What if wounded started pouring in?! She smiled regardless of her worry and listened to the boy slightly crouched to not make him feel small.
"Okay! I can come with you to find Daddy, but I'm going to have to come right back," she explained, affectionately touching Kres' hair. "I have to be here in case anybody comes back with big boo-boos. I'm a healer now." And she was proud of her new rank. For a little bit, though, she could leave. It would probably be safest for the boy if she kept him as far from the battling as possible anyway!

N A E V I U S O B A NXXXC A P T I V E
She couldn't help it. She was just upset with herself. She continued her pacing even after people started getting thrown in. She heard a commotion outside and it caused her to pause. "Are they starting to fight? What's going on out there? Ugh!" She kicked a post at the corner of the tent and plopped down on the ground and hung her head in her hands. Internally, Naevius was falling appart. She knew there were others that weren't nobles in the tent but at this moment she didn't care. This was all her fault. They had lost the upper hand because of them. What if they lost the war because of them? Her family could be in big trouble. Although her head was hung in her hands, she didn't allow herself to cry. Instead, she tried to force herself to calm down and think logically. It was very low a chance that they would be able to escape, but they should at least try.

"But Miss Ime! The bad people are coming! I know they said we have some captives but they're still attacking. We should go..." Kres said as he started getting panicky. He grabbed her hand and started pulling. He knew she was a healer but her safety was important too. Maybe he should tell her that! "You're a healer so you're important too and there are others here so you can come back after its over to help people then." The youngling put on his best pouty face and hoped that if he got her to leave he could keep her from coming back.

Sebastian - post 7 /1 (vers point 2!) [ oban captive ]
It definitely sounded like a battle was going on. Would their countrymen even care enough to try and rescue them? Probably not, he decided, so his concern was for Naevius. She was terribly upset, and even if nothing she was saying was particularly untrue, he didn't want her panicking. He reached out and touched her arm.
"Everything is going to be fine," he tried to reassure her. Of course half of their troops had been crushed to death, but that was neither here nor there. Although they may be bound, they would get out of here eventually. Unfortunately it may in fact be caused by the utilization of his Lady as a bargaining chip. Hopefully the rebels wouldn't want to keep a hold of her.

Ime - post 6 [ tale - heading across camp ]
"Okay, okay. Everything's alright," she said with a smile, following the boy for now. Nothing would keep her from tending to the wounded, even the cutest little boy she could find. They needed her just as much as they needed their soldiers, and quite a few healers had joined in the fight. A child wasn't going to understand, though, so there was no point in fighting.
"Where's Daddy? Do you know?" Sauron must not be fighting if Kelina had sent her son to him, so he'd have to be somewhere!
Mella hated when his arm left her body. Still she proceeded into the tent. She had been processing Uquin’s story there was so much that could affect both Uquin and Biroki in it. She felt a bit awkward in the tent with them both still seeing Padma happy and excited about the colors had been adorable. “Padma you should paint with me sometime.” As the girl glancing Mella raised a delicate brow wondering for a time not understanding why the child was sneaking little peeks here and there. Telwren was sleeping soundly in her sash though ocosionally he shifted a bit.
Mella stayed aside while Biroki took care of Uquin’s needs. It was true Uquin’s features had been changed by all the coverings but she truly did not understand the total amount of damage that had been done. How did he travel with such a wound? Perhaps Padma had to help him now. She decided to call attention to the girl and show her some of the paints that she had in her bag. Many of them were greens and browns but a few red and bluish hues existed in one of her sewn skins. “Padma do you think you could help me with a small project?” Her eyes glittered mischief as she took the sleeping Telwren out of her sash and laid him down in a corner. Gently so as not to wake him she spread his wings. “I think Telwren could use some coloring. Though we have to be very gentle so we don’t wake him.” She winked at the girl inviting her to join. Telwren never seemed to mind being a canvas for a bit since the paint came off in a cleaning and he often got treats for being good. Mella hoped the good behavior from before would carry. Outside the day turned to night and the drums of war rang clear. Mella tried hard to keep the child distracted but feared how soon the tent would be filled with wounded.

Senja: In healer's tent with Rayolun Post 12
Senja, once the healers said she was safe, no harm to her baby either from her ordeal, asked if she could help them. There were wounded coming in now.. though not all the wounded stayed. The ones that could fight went back out as soon as possible. One though, a shifter she recognized as the one who'd been waiting and attacking Obans as they had escaped, was staring with a slight frown at the opening to the tent. I shall go talk with him! Be better than just doing small jobs for the healers.... "I never did get to say thanks for helping us escape." She said after she made her way over to him." You seem... distressed?"
Maybe he wanted to fight but the wound on his leg kept him? She remembered him barely keeping up, always favoring it as they'd fled.

Rayolun: Is in Healer's Tent for now Post 11
Ray noticed the pregnant one, the one who the broad shifter had gone back into the camp for, make her way over to him. He gave her a smile; "You're welcome." Why she would thank him when he was just doing what any fighter would have done in his position he didn't know..But it would be rude to not accept her thanks. "I should be out there, fighting." He frowned down at his leg. "But the wound I took at Neued has been through too much and my leg's not up to supporting me right now." He wanted to be out fighting, wanted to be out defending his land! But he knew better than to push his leg right now; it would cripple him given his luck of late.
"Are you fine as well? No .. problems?" He asked cautiously; the lady looked exhausted and like she was putting up a smile to hide behind. But then she did not look like a fighter, so all the stress of the fighting must be getting to her. Plus she'd been captured at around the same time as him.. was she from Neued?
