___Slither caught the motion of the strange, newly-met warrior out of her peripheral vision and stopped to look at the amazing sight of the wounded warrior crawling across the snow towards the buildings before her. Slither's jaw dropped and her mouth momentarily hung agape as the healer mentioned that the price was discussed after treatment was delivered, she was caught off guard by the resilience of the figure between them. 'How could she still be striving to move in her condition? This woman must have incredible will-power.' Slither thought silently to herself as the strange warrior finished her crawling and collapsed into the snow once more. Slither gritted her teeth and nervously ground them against each other. 'I wonder if something's compelling her forward. Perhaps a call of some sort, or an incomplete quest... What could be driving her to keep moving in her condition?' Slither pondered silently while the healer bent down to lift the woman up and, seemingly, drag her back to his place.
___"Yeah, treatment then price, that's fine..." She sad dolefully, then with sudden good cheer and amiability she added, "and I'd be happy to grab your bag." Slither walked over to Maximus and bent down at the hip to grab his bag with one of her long arms, smiling all the while and imperceptibly moving her right hand in a typing motion as she accessed a spell that would open her mind to what the seemingly unconscious warrior was perceiving. Slither slung the bag over her left shoulder just as she completed her spell, and lo! The sound of a sealed call brinked up in Slither's awareness, it sounded like the singing of mermaids to Slither, and it called her past the buildings and into a canyon beyond where she was standing, upright and leaning slightly back with the bag slung against her side and resting in a nook where her curves left a dent for it to hang on. Slither dispelled the listening enchantment, fearing that the call would grow to pull her as strongly as it pulled the fallen warrior, and began an enchantment to make the call accessible again, in case a scenario were to arise where she needed to follow it.
___Slither let a shiver run throughout her body, starting from her head and trailing down her spine, past its tip down to her toes; her wings shook excitedly as the shiver hit her waist. Snow flew off her as she did this, fluttering slowly to the ground. "So..." Slither began, her right hand reaching up for her mouth, wherein her fingers started caressing her sharp teeth as her eyes fluttered, the lids blinking rapidly up and down, up and down. "You lead, I'll follow?" She asked sweetly, her voice crooning in slightly angelic tones. She stood suddenly erect, as though standing at attention, her left hand gripping the handle of the healer's bag over her shoulder and her right hand straight at her side, erect beside her thigh. "If you need any help moving the body..." She purred, leaning in towards the healer at her hips while her right foot stretched out to standing on its toes, "you just let me know, okay?

Startling blue eyes opened when the healer picked Lyre up. Her hood fell back to reveal pure white hair the color of the snow around them. In places it was stained pink from blood tho whose it was impossible to really say."Soren it is you," she whispered weakly though frozen, blue lips. She didn't know that he wouldn't understand anymore than the name she uttered. There was a cracking sound as she pulled her arm away from the wound on her stomach. "Help me." With the arm gone the wound began to bleed sluggishly. It was a deep gash that left vital things exposed. If her arm hadn't been there while she was moving her insides would have been spilling out and she'd be dead already. A very serious wound and she'd known it all too well. After her last words her eyes rolled back in her head and she passed out one final time. "I hate it when it gets this cold," Lethe muttered, mostly to herself, as she trudged through the snow in the empty streets on the way into town. She was bundled in a worn coat that the cold managed to bite through no matter how tightly she pulled it around herself. Usually she kept to the woods, away from Human towns and Humans in general. Animals understood her better than they did after all. Her only reason for coming into the town now was for shelter against the frigid mountain cold. Beside her, struggling through the snow just as much as she was a wolf dog. He growled in agreement with her complaint just as the bird flying overhead cried out in its agreement as well. Lethe smiled, just a bit, at their replies. These creatures were her only friends in the world and she liked it that way.The trio came to a halt by the side of a tavern, exhausted, hungry, and cold. Lethe ran a hand through her long blond hair the color of fresh straw. "Too bad we don't have any gold, copper, or even silver," she muttered. "A nice warm room sounds nice right about now with a nice warm meal. Even if it is among Humans." The wolf dog barked his agreement this time as the bird, an eagle, landed on her shoulder. Sadly huddling outside the tavern was the best they could do with nothing to pay for a room with.

Maximus Smirking softly, Maximus eyed the dark haired women curiously. Everything inside him was saying that it was a trap and that she'd likely be nothing but trouble, heartache, and likely a headache. That did nothing to stop the intrigue that the woman was stirring in him, say nothing of the thoughts that started to swirl in his mind. However, as it always did, healing and helping people took precedent over everything. Blinking slowly he looked down at the warrior and took in the pure white hair that swayed in the light soft breeze. On someone that looked young, it was an oddity and with the light pink stains mixed in. It was an interesting sight that only gave him a light flash of sadness for her before he shut it out thinking slowly, 'Save her first. Then ask and find out what happened.' He wasn't one to spread rumors or to cause harm, but to him knowledge was a mix between a tool, a resource, and a weapon.
'Soren? That name sounds familiar...Very familiar.' He thought picking out a name among the words that the warrior spoke. It was in a different language. One that he didn't understand or even place. Looking down at where her hand had been he tensed up and frowned deeply. Cursing softly he dropped the idle conversation that he felt would've sprung up with the other woman and sloshed through the snow. It shifted and crunched under his feet as he moved through the powder and moved straight towards his house, which was the same way that the warrior had been heading.
Anyone with an ear for magic and spells would sense the soft spoken words that Maximus were saying as he stirred the magic in his veins and applied thin layers to the warrior to slow her bleeding and being the healing process.

The brown haired male let out a long sigh as he pushed a hand onto his forehead. He had stopped walking and had turned around," I guess the Tavern really is the only place to get something to eat. I guess I'll just have to be sure not to order anything that will make me do things I regret. Or any food I will regret in the morning." He chuckled a tiny bit as his stomach grumbled, his hand moved from his forehead to his stomach and he let out another sigh. He got back to the Tavern to see a person wearing a worn coat with a wolf and eagle with her. He cocked his head, wondering why someone would be waiting outside the Tavern instead of going inside. He walked over to them and said slowly, hoping not to startle them," Why are you waiting out here in the cold? "He crouched down a bit, his head still cocked a frown on his face.

___Slither looked in awe at the beauty of the young woman and her stark white hair, blowing softly about her head in the gentle breeze that blew clusters of snow throughout the small town. She looked passionate, toned, intelligent. Something about her appearance screamed leadership capabilities, though she also looked like the type to prefer traveling alone. How did she end up here... and where did her wounds come from? Questions silently twirled about in Slither's mind while she waited for the healer to take lead, then she noticed the gash near the woman's stomach, deep and hollow. Slither felt an overwhelming urge to begin healing the woman on the spot, there was no waiting for the warrior to reach the healer's house in her condition; then she heard the mutterings of the healer's own voice as he began stirring up his own magic to heal the warrior; Slither felt immediately at ease.
___"I think she was asking if you were Soren." Slither said, striding behind the dragged body of the warrior as the healer took her to his house. "Do you think she understands our common tongue? When she awakes she may need answers, and I dare-say I don't know the language she was speaking. It reminds me of a tribal dialect from the hills, but I don't think it's the same tongue at all." She purred smoothly, her voice coming out like the echoes of crystals when chimed to play music. She sighed, still following behind the healer as he dragged the fallen warrior, then she began a chant of her own, a regeneration spell that encouraged the body to mend its own wounds, using the magic used to cast the spell to nourish and cleanse the wounds as the body sealed them of its own accord. As she sung her chants softly under her breath, the open wounds inside of the warrior's body began to seal and soak up the blood that they had been leaking.

(Lyre's unconscious so no part for her atm. Also this will be a short reply because my computer might crash any second.) Lethe jumped and whirled to face the speaker. Her eyes narrowed when she saw it was a human. When she jumped her companions shrieked and growled and the wolf dog moved to stand between her and the human. "What do you want Human," she asked. "If nothing then leave us be. We don't like your kind."

Maximus Sloshing through the snow moving the warrior Maximus was pushing his thin magic onto the warrior's wounds carefully and was still pondering over the name Soren when the other woman spoke up. Missing the first couple of words as he was shaken out of his thoughts he spared a glance back to the woman and said slowly, "I'm not Soren, but that names sounds so familiar." His voice was low and his eyes were distance as he thought feverishly towards everything that had happened in the last few minutes. Slowly the houses thinned out a little and at the end of the street rested his house that spilled light from the window.
After a moment of listening to her purring voice that he knew sent many a man's heart and mind stirring, he shook his head slowly saying, "I know most of the languages. Well. Enough to recognize them. This isn't from the hills or anything else around here. So long as-" His words cut off as he caught her chanting muffled by the breeze and the wolves that howled from their mountain tops. 'Ah. That explains a lot. Well. It explains enough.' Thinking slowly picking at the chant a little and glancing to see the effect it was having on the warrior. 'Powerful and yet basic. She's more trouble than just a striking image.' Knowing that she could use magic did not make her less of a threat. To him she became a threat that loomed bigger than the mountains.

___Slither finished the third cycle of her chant and sung a small serenade of soothing, to cause the healing wounds to feel at rest and settle into the healing which she had caused them to initiate with vigor and fortitude. Her serenade was brief, no more than four lines, and came from a deep language of the underworld, where peace was well known to the restful dead, making her spell all-the-more potent at getting the fallen warrior's body and mind to relax and numb through any of the potential pain that healing so rapidly could cause. She noticed the healer had stopped speaking to listen to her chant, and grew a little self-conscious, encouraging her to sing more gently, yet with greater effort, making the song all the more beautiful and eerie, thus also more effective. When she was finished, still walking smoothly in slow glides behind the healer and the fallen warrior, she spoke up in response to the healer's words.
___"Isn't Soren the name of one of the children of a general of the armies of Lunaris? Perhaps my recollection is misleading, but I've heard rumors about the children of the higher-ups in the war effort. Maybe the one I'm thinking of was Sarren..." Her long, smooth voice trailed off slowly as she spoke, talking almost more to herself than to the healer, though she was obviously addressing him directly. Slither's wings stretched and fluttered behind her as her right hand rose to start curling her hair around her fingers. The bag was still hanging on her left shoulder, held up by her left hand gripping its handles. "So... she could be a foreigner, couldn't she?" Slither's voice curled around itself, trailing out of her throat as smooth as silk and twice as soft. "I've heard rumors of great landscapes beyond the islands to the north. Far East and around a trail of islands is supposedly a great landscape of volcanoes and ash and lush land with fertile soil." Slither huffed, her body heaving lightly as she blew a small gust of air out of her mouth, it shown like moist smoke in the cold air and slowly rose to dissipate just above her head. "So... so long as what? What were you going to say?" Slither asked, prying for the healer to finish his sentence.

Ethan frowned a tiny bit as the cloaked person whirled around to face him.He was crouched down so when the wolf dog moved infront of him he gave a kind smile. Despite being called a human, which was only half true. But still partially true, he looked to the woman, realizing she was one from the voice. He would have tried to pet the wolf, to try and calm in but instead he stayed crouched. Saying with a somewhat sad voice," Oh sorry for bothering you. I just wanted to find out why you were waiting out here in the cold. "His stomach growled but he ignored it.

(Back! I have my new laptop booted up and ready to go!) "Why do you wish to know such a thing," Lethe asked. Her eyes were narrowed, her tone suspicious. However, despite her outward appearance her teeth were chattering behind her lips when she didn't speak. Despite her clothing she was freezing. The wolf dog continued to growl at him, getting ready to lunge and bite him. Above the eagle cried out a shriek.

Maximus Glancing about the street, Maximus looked for people or animals. However the street here was as dead as most others around here. The only one that really showed life was near the tavern, where people got drunk enough to no longer care. Her voice was smooth and easy to get lost in, but her words about the mystery surrounding the warrior were more pressing than anything else. Waving it all away with a hand he shifted the warrior and climbed onto his porch and said, "Well, let's get her warm and healing better. Then we can figure out about her past."
His footsteps thudded on the worn wood of the porch as warm light danced from behind the window. Pausing before the door as it swung opened under its own accord he looked back at Slither. Taking careful measure of her he considered something before he told her, "You'll...probably feel odd inside the house. Most people do even without magic in their veins." His tone was warning her and serious about it while concern was lanced faintly in with his words. 'Hopefully this goes a lot better than the first time...'' He thought to himself recalling the horrid burnt smell and the scream that died as quick as it began.(The house is heavily enchanted and covered with magic on the inside, but the outside looks and feels like any other house.)

___Slither noticed the healer looking around himself to check what was nearby, possibly looking for on-lookers. 'Is he afraid of being seen?' She wondered to herself, 'Perhaps he's afraid that whatever had wounded the girl so despicably is still after her, and is on the look-out for the culprits?' It was anyone's guess what he was looking for, but he seemed to be comforted by the empty, desolate streets and continued moving the girl's body into a fair-sized, quaint-looking building. Slither nodded encouragingly as he ordered they worry about getting her warm and healed first, then worry about her past. "Of course, healer, anything you say." She cooed comfortingly, "Her health should be our primary concern; you just tell me if there's anything you need me to do..." Slither let out a half-smile and looked caringly into the healer's eyes, though if he could tell in the dark of the streets was, again, a complete guess.
___Slither nodded excitedly at the healer's warning that she might feel odd inside of the house, and the suggestion that having magic in one's veins amplified it. She supposed it was something to do with the house being a healer's dens, and suited to the privacy and care of the well-being of those seeking refuge within. Privacy was important for injured folk, so the protection of the secrecy regarding their holding was vital to a good healer's craft. You didn't want whatever'd gotten them hurt nor whoever'd take advantage of them in such a state knowing about their stay in your domicile; it was too risky to their recovery. Slither smiled boldly, an enticing and tempting smile, wide across her thin face with her wry but full lips curling; "I'll be careful, then." She followed the healer into the house and was pleasantly surprised. The house felt like the songs of good carolers around the holidays. It was a pleasant and soothing atmosphere, and brought peace to her already comfortable heart. "Be careful you say? I feel I could sleep in this." She cooed, letting her fingers play with each other as she stood somewhat awkwardly in the entryway, being uncertain as to where to go. She looked curiously around at the interior of the house. There was an old man in a chair, surrounded by a fireplace and some other chairs, there was a small recovery ward and a workshop for the healing arts paired beside each other... the house was surprisingly large inside, for how large it looked from the outside. "So," The elegant figure of Slither Faeitta offered a humble shrug, "Where should we set her, and where do you want me to set your bag, healer?"

The brown haired male just frowned and slowly scratched his head,"Well. To be honest seeing someone out in the cold bothers me. I was going to find out why you were outside in the cold, and then see if I could help. "He was being truthful, he let out a sigh doing his best to stay calm. Despite the danger he sensed, his eyes moved up to the eagle as it shrieked. He slowly said," Im sorry if I was bothering you with questions." He could feel the hunger trying to overwhelm him, and the growling wolf just made him think of his hungry stomach.

Lyre stirred the second he walked in and opened her bright blue eyes. "Here," she rasped. "Here, here." With that she passed out again. She'd been following the old magic in the house, hunting it, searching for it. It was the feel of Soren's magic she'd been chasing. The man didn't hold it but the house did, the power so similar to her own mark. That magic, that feeling, was the only familiar thing in the world she'd woken to and she'd followed it relentlessly.Lethe sighed. "Well Human for the record I have no coin and no shelter," she said. "This is the warmest spot in the town so here I am. Now be on your way." With that she turned away from him and huddled closer to the wall. She knew the kitchen was on the other side of it, thus why it was so warm. Without any coin, copper, silver, or gold, she couldn't get a room and this was the best she could do.

Maximus Moving forward Maximus crossed the room still carrying the warrior, but he froze a moment when she woke and spoke even more words in her strange language. It itched his mind as to who she was and what happened, but until she was healed he knew there would be no answers. Looking at her with a troubled look he shrugged off the million and one thoughts that surged inside his head. Moving he moved to the wall that bare as a slight glow flared from two points at the same time. A complex swirling pattern craved into the fireplace matched the wall before him as a small table slid from the wall to provide a suitable place for her.
With the table complete the glow faded and the old man smiled a near toothless smile at the glow then at Slither. Turning his attention to the question of his bag Maximus simply answered with, "You can place that on the table with the other supplies." Laying the warrior carefully onto the table he took off his cloak and hung it on the wall nearby. 'She's out of immediate danger, but there's still plenty to be done. Its remarkable that she's stirred as many times as she has. Plus her blood will soon be flowing again so everything will need to be done before then if possible.'
