Shinku glazed at the other. "Don't look at the ground while we talk,"he said, the tone holding a bit of a order to it. It was angering him, just slightly, that the Gehaka kept looking at the ground.
"My name is Hishorin Shinku; I would like you to call me by my name as well Kohaku." His voice soften. It wasn't the Gehaka fault he kept looking down. It was something trained in them from a very young age to be respectful. "You don't have to be so formal at the moment. No one is watching." He gestured out, well the old samuri retainer, but he could always order his him to be quite.

The Gehaka inclined his head slightly, lifting his gaze slowly to meet the other's almost hypnotizing gaze. "My apologies." His voice was still soft, but his gaze did not waver this time. This was certainly a new experience, but he would honor the other's requests.
"Yes....Hishorin-san." He had resisted the urge to use 'sama', but Hachiro still wished to be polite. A mixture of emotions ran through him, a strong combination of relief and unease. Shinku seemed to be more...normal, than most Hakas. Hachiro wasn't nearly as uneasy around him, but he kept his senses alert in case anyone did happen to stroll into the garden.

Shinku smiled just slightly as the other's glaze met his. "Apologies accepted,"he murred, claspings his hands in his lap. His nerves where strung high for it might cause dishonor if somone of importance found them. It was also oddly thrilling, and a relief to be able to just talk to the handsom creature naturally.
"It is quite a lovely day out," he said, wishing to start a normal conversation. "This garden has always been a favorite of mine. Do you think the weather will last?" He questioned.

Hachiro had relaxed fully now, his broad shoulders no longer tense and his wings hanging partially open at his sides. He was enjoying himself, to a degree, and silently admitted that he did enjoy looking at the Haka's face...Shinku was a beautiful creature indeed. It was hard to focus on the beauty of the Hakas when one was always forced to stare at the ground. He too though, remained on guard in case someone were to walk into the park and see the rather odd sight.
"It is..." The Gehaka murmured, turning his piercing eyes to the warm sun above. "I do hope so, but my mother has told me that it may rain soon...this is one of the few times that I have ever come to this garden though. I will have to try and come here more often, if I am able..."

"Rain is enjoyable in itself," he said, tilting his head to one side, so his hazel hair caught the sun and glowed. "This place is somewhat of a sanctuary for me." A place to relax with out his mother breathing down his next was left unsaid. He smiled sweetly,"I would like that. I might see you again."
Shinku was getting somewhat attached to Hachiro. He was handsome creature and with just a little prompting was opening up to him. He ran his left thumb over his fingertips in a little nervous motion.

The Gehaka nodded in agreement, directing his attention back to Shinku just in time to see his hair seem to catch fire in a glorious, gleaming beam of sunlight. Hachiro was reminded strongly of the dazzling display of koi earlier bfore, finding that he enjoyed this sight almost better. At the Haka's words, a gentle smile crossed his lips, and he bowed his head slightly. "I would enjoy that, Shinku-san..."
He would, truly. The Haka was the first to show some display of 'equality' between the two races, as foolish as that sounded. Hachiro felt at ease with Shinku, and liked talking to him...the other seemed quite patiently--and certainly was a pleasure to look at.

Shinku stood up, twirled playfully, before glancing back. "Walk with me," he said, pushing his hair back down. "I feel like walking the path." He waited for Hachiro, standing on the cobble stone path, hair slightly messy and wind swept.
He was slightly restless, at least if they where walking together it would not look too out of place. "Hachiro," he called gently, waiting patiently.

Hachiro smiled once more at the sight of Shinku twirling, his glossy hair spiraling around him like a halo. He silently moved from his spot near the pond, moving to Shinku's side without hesitation. The Gehaka actually enjoyed an order for once; why would he protest walking with such a beautiful creature?
One well-muscled arm was held out to the more delicate Haka, allowing him to take it if he wished. It was the polite thing to do, and even if it wasn't, Hachiro wouldn't have minded at all.

Slowly, the blonde haired Gehaka made his way to the garden. His mother had kicked him out of the shop that day, saying he needed space. So, here he was, a belt with a few whittling knives, and a bag full of wood to carve. He'd do his work here for the day, so his mother couldn't yell at him too much when he finally returned home. He found a good spot and sat down, just looking around for something to carve.

Already in the garden was Reizo, attended by one of his mother's Gehaka. He prefered being accompanied by his older brother, for the most part because Shinji was so much easier to order around. But the Gehaka had had to do something in the shop, and Reizo had been restless. He felt snappish, as a matter of fact. A print just wasn't coming, which was getting on his nerves.
The Haka was standing by the pond, peering in absently as he tried to figure, in his head, how to compose this piece.

The blue eyes wondered, and fell on yet another Haka...how many would he meet in such short time? Tsukiko had been kind, and yet, the very presence of this one was not as nice. Yet his hands moved even as he thought on it. The blonde was truly better at carving living people, or animals, and here was another beautiful Haka before him.
Slowly, the basic shape began to form in the cherry wood. Taini would more than likely give this to that Haka as well, if he would take it. He always seemed to give the model the piece, then pull something off for his mother, like a bird. The blonde chuckled softly, working on the kimono already. It was easier with the pratice.

Reizo continued to be an unwitting model, ears flicking back and forth every so often. A few times, a soft growl or snarl emerged from his lips. He wasn't even painting it, and it was giving him trouble!
Although, eventually, even the distracted artist felt eyes on his back, turning around sharply to catch the offender. There? That Gehaka? What did he think he was doing? There was an arch look on Reizo's face as he stared haughtily.

Shinku hesitated, just for a second of time, before laying his smaller dainty hand on the well-muscled arm. "Thank you," he said softly ,his jade eyes lit a little in pleasure. Even though it was probably a taught reflex, it made him feel a little special. He wasn't use to a out of kin Gehaka attention being focused on him.
He took a dainty step foward and waited for Hachiro to move with him. It would be a little awkard if he took off.

Taini continued unknowingly that the Haka was now watching him. The details were clear in his own mind. The cherry wood fell into the figure perfectly, the dainty feet carved well. The hands, with their sharp black nails were done, and he moved on to the ears. The blonde gehaka had no idea what he was doing, just sitting there, doing as his mother had told him to. Carving.

There was another short snarl, and then Reizo turned and moved towards the Gehaka, eyes narrowed. However, when he finally saw what the blonde haired man was doing...
Huh. He stopped short, folding his arms over his chest. Wood carving? Reizo was still glowering out of sheer annoyance, but he was less inclined to take such anger out on this Gehaka. Some shopkeeper would probably bear the brunt of it later, or perhaps Shinji would, when he got home.
