I know lately I've been seeing more things that need to immediately (or as fast as possible) be deleted, and it'd be nice if there was a category/ button that would be able to be used to indicate that need. I realize that this could also then have people abusing it, but some kind of a action listed maybe that would penalize if used wrongly might help? (cause it's sometimes hard to track down an online mod and if sending info via pm is not always the fastest method) [ I don't usually archive answers from Moderators since their knowledge is less comprehensive than that of actual Staff members, but I made an exception for this one. -Platonix] Selecting what kind of offense you're reporting is already an option. The Moderating team handles the more important reports (SEM/SIM, Inappropriate Content) first as priority since these are things that need to be removed first and foremost. Right now the Moderating team is around 40 people, which isn't too many, and we're people too who have real life things to do so we can't always be modding.
If you see anything such as porn being posted, go to the top of that forum you're in and look up Forum Moderators and find any green name that is online, we'll happily get rid of that stuff if we're messaged about it since it could sit in a report queue when some of us are just checking in and not looking at the queue.
As for abusing the report system, we already have Report Abuse as an offense we warn for.

Most popular/well-known sites today use https at the login page, and many of them always use https everywhere on the site. Don't you think it's time to use https, or at least every single time when
we have to write our password like on the login page? What about an optional 5-digit or at least a 4-digit pin after we type the password at the login page, as an extra layer of security? Your "Contact Us"/support page already uses the https feature so it's kinda weird that the actual gaia page doesn't use it. Gaia needs and deserves https protection. I really hope this is possible. Agreed every Gaia page should support https. Unfortunately however due to how some pages were built on the backend, it is not a simple update. We do however plan to slowing get all areas of the site supporting this as we update various areas. codemonkey37179 Sailor Buffy GamesFor the upcoming Fishing update, can you please do something so people who are blocked can't see/enter the users fishing room? If not, please at least make a Fishing sticky in forums about harassing users in rooms. I am constantly harassed by people on my ignore list entering my rooms. Reporting doesnt help because my reports are never read. There is no rules set for fishing so users think they can do whatever they want. It would be a helpful feature. I'll keep it in mind as we are building it.

May 18th, 2015: Zero Omega Irresistible Isa ArtI have been seeing people using my OC claiming her as theirs. Now my question is.. Can i report them for this? They did change the shoes she is wearing, other than that it's 100% like my OC. This really saddens me that people can't make their own Oc and have to steal someone elses design. please help ;-; i don't know what to do anymore.. I made a forum post about this and have warned the artists. If she's posting on the forum with the OC that you created, you can report her using the "report a post" or "report a thread" buttons that are available. Our team will then follow up with your report.

Something more in-depth, yes. That particular post covers things that have been recently found to be abused, but doesn't address things like usernames that are graphic, or that "post" also means things that aren't in the public areas of Gaia. Well, not having explicit content anywhere on Gaia covers it, but helps to be clear that it means non-public spaces as well, and for various forms of content. Not sure if I'm making sense about expounding on the post sweatdrop Sure, we can definitely look into creating something that is a little more in-depth about what we wouldn't allow.

I'm really worried about being banned because I warned Chatterbox about the user who hacked me. I submitted a help ticket and reported the users (there are multiple accounts who are scamming people) I'm just really worried I'm going to get in trouble. Ignoring someone will not hide their posts and you must refresh to report someone who may be long gone by the time you get back. sweatdrop Are you guys working on this? surprised We're aware of this and right now there isn't a way to fix it, however, what you can do is report the person before you ignore them and then proceed to put them on your ignorelist.

Even just a quite post somewhere to go "If its ***Un Released**** don't you dare" or "If its old you cool to talk about it," Sorta thing, just so we know where we stand :] I would like to politely request that 'Un-released' items not be the subject of threads or shared. Many of them are un-released for a specific reason- either the item is incomplete, broken, or still subject to edits, and building up expectations of something that may never be available. If anyone discovers these unreleased items they can PM any staff member who will take them out of public viewing. Thank you for asking! 3nodding

I was wondering when are you going to fix this This error happens when the Additional Information box does not have any text in it. You have to put either information as to why you're reporting the profile or w/e in the box. I put information in the box, thats my problem, idk if its my problem or in general, but I put info in the box Be sure to select a section when reporting profiles. However bump shops get away with it, and I have also been told that if the image is small that it's allowed to be linked back to a guild/thread. I have been told by a few mods that small images that are linked are ok to use in the aquarium forum for bumping glows but this sticky says otherwise. Can we get some clarification on what is allowed? I want to bump glows but I don't want to break rules. sweatdrop Mmm... Definitely an interesting situation, we'll go ahead and get this figured out. Think there was probably some miscommunication, or it's just an old policy we had that needs to be removed from the forum. But we'll get it figured out for you.

After that, I try to keep it safe with the rules. Is my thread breaking the rules? It is not. In general we prefer users to not discuss or link **Not Released** items because they may not be finished or ready for release, if they ever are released. The thread, however, is fine (we would have removed it by now if it wasn't).

This is taking a low-content post and changing it to be an advertisement- there is the specific intent of increasing the number of people coming to their guild. This is not allowed.

However bump shops get away with linked bumps, and some mods have even said that using linked images to bump is alright. You said that you would check the policy and get back with us about it but it hasn't happened. I don't want to accidentally break any rules due to this sticky and with what mods are saying... sweatdrop Can you please check this over and let us know what is allowed and what isn't? I run two charities with a mule and I tried to get a bump shop to help me out with keeping my threads bumped up. They rejected my order because I did not want them to speed bump my thread, I wanted them to go by the forums rules and wait until my threads fell off the first page before they bumped it back up again. I looked around at other shops and I noticed that they are letting their bumpers spam bump threads as well. These people are not waiting until the threads fall off the first page before they make a bump. The charity and questing forums rule for bumping is... " 4. Bumping:
Bumps are posts made, generally using the word bump or an emoticon or an image, for the purpose of moving the thread to the first page. If your thread is on the first page there is no reason to bump it up. " Can you send out a PSA to clear this up and to stop all the spamming that is going on? It's bothersome to find a shop that isn't encouraging others to spam and I don't want my threads being shut down because a careless bumper is clueless about the rules. It's something that we'll be happy to go ahead and consider, but it would be something that would be a low priority over the other PSAs we could possibly do. In the mean time, please continue to report anyone that may be violating the bumping rules of that particular forum.

I tend to chat in multiple threads at a given time especially during events & I find that I run into the Authenticity thing that pops up with an image of words because of this. What I wanted to ask is are you in any way able to get ones that are even closely readable? I find myself trying my hardest to see what letters are in these to type & repeatedly get them wrong & it kinda kills the whole fun of being on gaia & chatting in forums with people especially during events. Sorry about the inconvenience! I actually haven't run across any of these kind of CAPTCHAs when it comes to forum posts, I've only seen ones that are really quick and simple to answer. Would you be able to get a screenshot the next time you get one like this and show us?

Can we find a way to restrict those spammers? We're currently exploring ways to try and curb these spammers, sorry for the inconvenience when they pop up, our moderator team works hard to try and get them when they do come up.
