I’ve been compiling a list of [Animal] items that have tagging issues and/or wrong descriptions (and also ones with problems with the little paw icon) and was hoping some of them could perhaps be fixed..
Description Errors

North Star Penguin – doesn’t have penguin in the tags Furmiliar Comfurt – has ‘fumiliar’ rather than ‘furmiliar’ Prefurable Furmilliar Comfurt – there’s an extra ‘l’ in ‘furmiliar’ than the other two versions have, also has ‘fumiliar’ instead of ‘furmiliar’ A Little Devilish/Diabolical/Fiendish/Beastly – ‘little’ is a broken tag so it’s hard to find them without knowing the individual names; perhaps an alternative would be to do ‘alittle’? First Day Fashion – none of the name is included in the tags Very Odd – doesn’t have ‘odd’ in the tags; also, ‘very’ is another broken tag Widow/Ribbon Spinner – don’t have ‘spinner’ in the tags; would be kind of nice to have ‘biter’ in their tags as well so that all the spider skins can be pulled up in one go

Can the rules for the paw forum be changed? Suddenly a ton of threads in the paw forum have been moved to the chatterbox because they arent "paw related" and as stated before by the staff, you will not create any more paw centered subforums, so the paw community is asking that you change the rules of the paw forum. Instead of everything having to be paw centered maybe just make it a hub where all pawbased users can chat and hangout.
This is something that was can definitely consider! No guarantees that we will actually be able to do it, but we can put it under consideration.

You’ve said you’ll do something to at least acknowledge the [Animal] anniversary – could you tell us which day though because while according to the announcements the base was released on the 24th a lot of us have always felt like the anniversary was the 25th, when the blog post explaining usage of the new base was posted.

Is there a chance that SDPlus dolls will ever be equippable to the Paws base? If yes, would you have to make it a separate [Animal] item? If you had to make it a separate [Animal] item, how would that effect the Custom SDPlus Gaian Dolls?
We don't have any plans to convert SDPlus dolls to the paws as yes, it does require a separate item.
You can order an SDPlus doll just for your paw base using the Club Verge Custom SDPlus box.

Items Is it possible to have more items converted for paws? Many items like the ribbon candy series and social items series started off as paw items. Now however they have been made for the human base, and with more versions than for paws. Just wondering if the animal base can have them converted now too.

Out of perverse curiosity, why is it that Paw bases cause achievements like Clambake/Sausage Fest, Hive Mind, and Prayer Circle to fail... and is there any way to fix this? It doesn't always happen-- once or twice, the achievement has worked anyway. However, it might just be that the user saw the notification and changed into the Paw base as soon as they noticed and that they were moving faster than I was. (Always a very real possibility.) I'm not sure either way.
I can understand it being that the Paw base doesn't technically have a gender, but the account still should be registered as one or another (so it should work for gender achievements). If they're sitting and backwards it should still in theory work for Prayer Circle. Hive Mind, well, that might not work given the differences in items. I can understand that one.
Overall, I was just hoping for some clarification that I can share with my fellow achievement hunters, as we currently have to resort to sharing "No x, y, z, or Paws (animal bases)" whenever making new threads... or when we see that a Paw user has posted. That seems unfair and unwelcoming to Paw users, which we don't want. They should be just as free to seek achievements in their bases as we are in ours.

I've been trying to get more into Animal avatars, but I've always been disappointed by the lack of standalone noses for them. I decided to see how many standalone noses for Paws there were, and there are a total of four (a koala, a clown, and twohedgehogs, and even then, those hedgehogs seem to have a hint of a mouth beneath the muzzle...) so there's very little variety. Every other nose for Paws comes attatched to a fur, eyes, mouth, or full face, which can be such a bummer when you just want a simple nose.
That said, I've always really liked the Nosey Tattoos for the human base, with their simple design and many colors. I think they would work really well for Paws and their current lack of simple, standalone noses.

Do you think you could make [Animal] varieties of these noses (or similarly-styled noses) either as regular items or as a Skin Tyte/tattoo update for Paws?

We'd love to convert some of these sets to paw base but no solid time frame yet.
Re-colour of Tidy/Sparkling/Clean Operator to have white hair, pink bow, pink overalls? emotion_kirakira Shirt, shoes and gloves would be cute in pink too, but I suppose for balance/set using you'd want some variety, so maybe the shirt and gloves in white, the wrench in pink?
At least for [Animal]s I keep picturing it and then have to say something in the hopes that the image transfers to somebody else's head too because I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love this in extra-girly

That sounds like a great color palette maybe for Easter! Unfortunately right now we don't have plans to recolor that item again since we already created three colors for the current Spring Cleaning event.

Why can't Animal avatars open aquarium fish drops? The Animal avatars have been out for over a year, yet when I try to open a fish drop, I still get this message:
General Error Could not open this item. Please try again later.
If I switch to a human avatar, I can open them, but they can't be opened while using the Animal base. Why is this? Can it be fixed?

I have heard that LQI in the cash shop lately automatically get a recolor when they sell out. However the paw items rarely sell out the same since there are fewer people who use the paw base. Is it possible for our LQI to be a fewer amount so they can sell out and get recolors? Like maybe 299 quantity perhaps?
Not all LQIs automatically get a recolor, but for sell out sets we try to put at least one more recolor in the store. We can lower the amounts for Paw sets, that's very easy! Thank you for the suggestion.

Can we PLEASE get tattoos and piercings and things that can be used on animal legs (like the deer butts and the naga tails) and wings and such?
cause that would be amazing (and a great way to revitalize the inks and such usage)
Unfortunately the shapes and sizes of different animal legs makes it such that we can't create a tattoo that would be universal. Tattoos that would work on naga tails won't work on faun legs or even various faun legs don't have the same shape, so this type of equippable is not in our foreseeable future. Conversions take a long time and old EIs have TONS of poses! While we're not looking at specifically converting full EIs, we've already converted some REIs for paws and would love to convert more in the future. Please be patient with us! heart
I noticed a glitch back during the Easter event where if you're a paw looking at hairs in Salon Durem, the human hair shown is for the female base no matter what base your human is. I'm a male base human, but all I could see was female hair. Can it be fixed that we see our true human base items while saved as a paw?

With the recent conclusion of the Easter event, we now have new residents, the Bunny Rangers. Since they will probably need a residence of sorts, maybe an npc shop! Something similar to the Treehouse perhaps, like The Bunny Burrow.
In that vein it should sell paw items.
They're still getting settled in, I'm not sure if they're planning on building a spaceship to leave Gaia or collecting parts to create a house or shop! In any case they're really active so I suspect they'll be back.

In relation to my previous suggestion, possibly fur potions will be sold that color the default paw bases. One time use similar to the human potions in Skin Tyte.
Essentially making the grey paw base a different and would only color the default bases.
They should work just like human potions. And only be used to recolor the cat, wolf, bear, puppy or bunny bases.
Unfortunately the human and animal system for avatars on Gaia are actually different, so we can't make any potions for one-time use furs (or at least at this time, not to my knowledge). We also thought that people would probably prefer having their furs equippable at any time, anyways. Sorry for the inconvenience! heart

Converting the salon hairs for paws is actually a much larger undertaking than it appears...... so at the moment it's not on our list of things to get done in the near future since paws will probably appreciate having exclusive new hairs instead. At this time, there are no plans to convert old human GS items for animal base. We think we can make better ones than old ones, but if you have specific items that you're dying to fit onto your tiny paw body, please feel free to make a thread in Site Feedback and get some of your fellow paws in the thread so we see that it's highly requested! In Go Fusion why do the paws items take less charms than the humans? It's not really fair to us, why cant they be equally priced?

Paw items in general are priced a little more inexpensively to encourage people to use the paw base, and also because paw items are littler! They take up less pixel space and therefore cost a few less pixel charms to craft. It's the law of equivalent exchange, right? emotion_kirakira

So we know TekTek has been shut down. Unfortunate, but understandable. I liked being able to piece together avis from items I don't even own - all at once. I've also heard word of a "dream avatar creator" that Gaia is planning on creating. There's one thing TekTek lacked and I'm hoping you guys pick up in this possible pending update, animal dream avatar creators. Can you confirm or deny if we'll have the ability to build animal avatars? I've always wanted to get an animal avi going, but since paws are new to Gaia it's difficult to figure out what exactly I can do to put together a nice one. Thank you for your time, and I'd be very excited if paw items will be included in this feature!
Yes, this is definitely something we are keeping in mind and plan to implement for this feature!

Yes we did, unfortunately due to the way the data is loaded this was not as simple of a change as we hoped. We have not entirely given up on the idea but it will need to be part of a larger update before it can be fully implemented.

When will Animal forms start getting to do Achievements? It would be fun to do all the same Achievements we do as human form, it wouldn't have to be all new achievements. With all the Animal form items that are constantly coming out, it would be nice if we could achieve the same bragging rights as animal forms as we get with our human forms. And a side note, it would be ok if the animal form achievements were set for any of the 5 forms available.

I believe all of the achievements, unless they require specific genders, are awarded to Paws as well. We do have some Paw specific ones coming, however.

I don't know if this as been previously mentioned, (if so, I'm sorry). But in the recent Vaporeon-based item (Misty Maiden) and it's (shiny) recolor (Lustrous Misty Maiden) are lacking a fundamental part of Vaporeon - its' tail. For some reason the Paw version has it, but not the human version, why is this? Thank you.

(The Pokemon Vaporeon by itself)
The tail is an animal base exclusive pose. Many paw converts have an extra pose since some poses that are useful on human avis aren't nearly as unique due to the size of the paw base. Dainty Dragonslayer, Swift Shocker, and Blazing Blitz all have extra poses in the paw versions. At this time, we are not intending on recreating a tail for the human versions of Misty Maiden (not to mention the tiny paw one won't fit on the human body anyways!)

For the Cross Stitch contests, there is a template for human avis. Now that we have paw avis, can we have a template for them or is there already one available?
We've had contests to create items for paws, but I've never seen a template for us to use except for the human ones.

I know it's been asked about before, but can the Paws forum possibly see an update to the rules? Even just a simple clause stating clearly that topics not discussing the base in some way are or are not allowed (as it is now, there's nothing saying I can't make a thread about gardening and have it not be moved, but if I were to make one it's pretty much a guarantee that it would end up elsewhere) -obviously we would prefer that we be allowed general topics in there, because without them it's hard to keep a community, but personally I would just like something clear either way-
