Could we have a CrosStitch contest for accessories? The theme would be left open, or could be simply "your dream accessories", and would prevent people from actually making clothes: which means no shirts, no dresses, no coats, no pants, no shoes.... just items which are considered as accessories which are there to add more personality to outfits.
It could be brooches or pins, jewelry (like necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, anklets, tiaras -- maybe?), shoe clips, ties, glasses (on head or in the face)...
Edit: On a second thought, maybe leaving shoes could be nice since there's a few fun possibilities which could be done. It's all suggestions anyway, so what's allowed or not would be left to you to decide

Update gold shop trades for bugs/inks/tattoos? When exchanging these things I often bring a multitude and exchange in bulk, but after every single exchange (which only makes 1 product) I'm redirected to the starting page. It would help questing for certain things, especially the elusive body dyes go by much faster if we could enter in say 50 of each red, blue and green inks and trade for 10 white inks rather than have to go through the process 10 times.
Can't answer this at the moment, we'll have to take a look at the code and see how feasible this is with it's current design.

While the recent D*C update last week was a very pleasant surprise, have you guys ever considered making a gold sink event revolving around Brennivin and his shop? This thread briefly explores the idea of having a Fashion Week inspired event. Get Brenni to design some couture clothes and have him sell them in his shop for a lot of gold, perhaps even as a LQI like what you've been doing in Loyal's. Maybe get Vanessa to learn some runway-inspired haircuts too!
It's undeniable that the avatar feature is a big attraction for this site, and it's clear that you guys focus a lot on that as opposed to other features. So a Fashion Week event would be a perfect opportunity to have a gold sink.
We've noticed this thread and think its a great idea! heart

I can see that its mostly being priced at what the others are being sold on the MP, but its highly inflated. Since Loyal's shop is already exclusive maybe consider lowering the price on future gold LQ Items

Would you consider adding the Pinball power ups to the gold shops? I think it would make a good gold sink plus it would help us with having a better chance at winning something from the game besides gold. You can make them a few hundred K a piece that way we are sinking gold for our convenience. Plus that is also a lot more than what they cost in the game it's self.

Will gold shops have items with arm and leg mods? Currently, most arm and leg mods can only be bought by GC in LV, etc.
Currently, we have some shoes in gold shop that mod the default base. However, leg mods and arm mods are generally considered premium items, as they drastically modify the appearance of the base. However, premium gold shops such as Loyal's Bazaar or Dernier*Cri will occasionally feature body-modding items. 3nodding

Our premium eyes usually have a significant amount of makeup or anti-aliasing that is not found in gold shop eyes. However, that particular eye shape is very popular and I don't see why we can't have something similar in the future for gold shops! I was wondering if there'd ever be an update in Shops for the item exchange zones. The old items don't seem to hold much interest and value anymore, and flowers and trash just end up being dumped into Dumpster Dive all of the time. It'd be nice if we could have some new flower and trash themed items to exchange these things for. I think it'd be even better if we could exchange them for Paw items, seeing how there are not a lot of them in the gold shops, and most of them are cash/rig items.

The rules for the LQTs/RLQTs in Loyal's are the same as La Victoire LQTs, only that after 6 months they can be re-released in Loyal's only, but not sold for GC.

My question is regarding the exchange page for the bugs to ink, ink to tattoo, etc. Can you please make the font size of the words in the exchange larger? The current font size look like this. When reading the words there, I have to strain my eyes just to make sure that I have exchanged the correct stuff. The Yes and No image links are also small, and sometimes hard to click. It will be a big help for me who wears prescription glasses to be able to read the words clearly, and not to depend on the zoom function of my browser everytime I visit the page.

This is the last of my Loyal’s Bazaar questions for the night, I promise. As one of the two users who usually posts in the Bug Reports forum regarding the recently announced ticket solution to the counter glitch (and thank you very much for making that clear), I’ve recently noticed an increase in the number of users reporting both versions. This strikes me as strange, perhaps because I don’t understand coding, and I can’t help but wonder if the glitch is getting stronger… if this is at all possible. Although it could just be that more people are noticing. Still, I’d rather give people the most up-to-date information when responding to their concerns about this issue.
So the question is: could we please, if at all possible, get an update of some sort on how the fix for this glitch is going?

Rather than just sending a message when you are removed from Loyal’s, would you consider sending out a genuine warning when you miss 10 days (and possibly 5 days as well)? It comes as a shock to users to be so suddenly removed, especially when the PM itself is worded as a warning. It lends itself to a lot of confusion. Perhaps giving a warning that you’ve already missed 10 days and you will no longer be able to access the shop if you miss 5 more (granted, this would be in Loyal’s verbiage) might help to reduce some of the confusion or users to recognize the second form of the counter glitch sooner.

Okay Gaia, we need to talk about your Pokemon themed items.
Pokemon is a very popular series among Gaians, so making some items based on it is a no brainer. However, the current way you're distributing them is broken. A majority of them you've sold through the Cash Shop, which I (and others) could live with if it weren't for the fact that you charge so much for them and have so few made available.
Let's look at one of your most recent releases, Synchronous Moonlight, which you sold at 799 GCash ($7.99 USD) and made 799 of them available. They sold out before the announcement of their availability was made. Naturally, the next day a recolor (Bold Synchronous Moonlight) was made available. Fine, except for the fact that you sold them for 999 GCash ($9.99 USD) each and made the number available exactly the same as the original item, even though there's a clear massive demand for the item, so it sold out as fast, if not faster.
Likewise with Tower Haunt, you put up 799 of them for sale at 799 GCash ($7.99 USD) each, and it sold out quite fast. The next day you released a recolor (Cursed Tower Haunt), and sold it at the same price as the original, but instead only made 699 available.
Similarly, with RIGs and CIs that include Pokemon themed items, the Pokemon themed items are among the rarest of the grants.
This is just insane. You're making it so that only the most dedicated, richest Gaians can have items based on this hugely popular, beloved series. And that just isn't fair.

Thank you for feedback Soren, the purpose of LQIs is to ensure users a set that has a limited quantity, guaranteeing rarity and collectibility. Releasing items that sell out very quickly is very rare but not our intended purpose. Suggestions for limited time LQTs as opposed to quantity are being considered, and may be used in the future, so long as the rules are carefully outlined. The items can be re-released after 6 months, so users that are patient and really desire an item can get another chance at it.
That's a poor excuse though. There's absolutely no reason why Gaia couldn't stick a few of these highly desired items into Loyal's so that users that can't afford to spend so much money in the cash shop may have a chance at owning one. It's that kind of could shouldering that's causing a lot of your long-time users to quit Gaia. You need to hold a meeting about getting your sense of community back. :/
We have and will continue to put some LQIs and exclusive recolors of LQIs into Loyal's, though they may not be released on the same day.

Often when I'm having a bad day or a headache (I suffer from frequent headaches IRL) and Gaia is my distraction for that time, I'd love to have an ice pack item for my avatar's head. It's something that there isn't an equivalent of in the Gaia selection of items.
Suggested description? "Ice for 20 minutes will help the constrict blood vessels and lessen inflamation. Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration. Take Care <3."

Yeah we had a Crosstitch update back in January but to be honest we received very few entries to the contest. We'll definitely run more in the future and I hope more people will enter their designs.
I think one thing that hurts the contest is when the theme for it isn't something popular, so less people have ideas that can fit into the theme.
That may be the case but in general every contest we get fewer and fewer entries indicating that maybe they're not that popular ;___; We certainly don't mind running or making the items so it's not the last contest you'll see.
Can we have different style rainbow hair in shops along with cancer awearness items?
Multi-colored rainbow hairs are currently considered premium-type items, so you probably won't be seeing them in Gold Shops but we do plan to make more for Cash Shop releases. However, cancer awareness ribbons sound like they would be great additions to the Gold Shops and I've passed on the request!

I am a bit frustrated with Loyal's shop. it says we have to log in for so many days then we can access the shop. I have been getting on Gaia every day since Christmas and I am still at 33 days. It is like it is not counting my log in days. Why is that? do I need to go to the shop everyday to count as a log in?gonkscream

Is the staff still working on a fix for the way Loyal's Bazaar admission is calculated? I've been repeatedly barred out because Gaia is my homepage and I can continuous log in selected, yet I am on Gaia every single day. I would love to get back into the shop to buy some times without having to worry about whether or not my days are being 'counted'. Getting the consecutive online days achievement years ago was of no issue.
We are in the process of re-doing Loyal's admission requirements since there have been so many issues around it. In the mean time, you can file a ticket with our CS team and they can manually place you into the store membership.
Any idea when the next CrosStitch contest will be? It feels like we haven't had one for a while.

Its still in progress, but its basically a mechanic that makes it much easier to track when a user is logging in daily and also allows them a grace period if they have a disaster that prevents them from being on Gaia for a set amount of time.

I noticed a glitch back during the Easter event where if you're a paw looking at hairs in Salon Durem, the human hair shown is for the female base no matter what base your human is. I'm a male base human, but all I could see was female hair. Can it be fixed that we see our true human base items while saved as a paw?

With the recent conclusion of the Easter event, we now have new residents, the Bunny Rangers. Since they will probably need a residence of sorts, maybe an npc shop! Something similar to the Treehouse perhaps, like The Bunny Burrow.
In that vein it should sell paw items.
They're still getting settled in, I'm not sure if they're planning on building a spaceship to leave Gaia or collecting parts to create a house or shop! In any case they're really active so I suspect they'll be back.

Some of the Loyal's Bazaar limited quantity items did not stay limited quantity. For instance, Obscure Mysterious Mercenary Locks got put back into the store when they sold out, and were there for I think a week or two before I saw them pulled. Now the price is plummeted, I'd be better off selling it back to the shops than trying to sell in the marketplace.
What was the purpose/intent of doing this?
This is a glitch with Loyal's Bazaar where once an LQI sells out it will stay within the shop, however, if a user tries to buy the items nothing will actually happen. This is a glitch that we know about and that we will be addressing.
For the past few years I've been seeing more Gaia cash announcements than other announcements. While it is nice to see some virtual items on sale for real money and that you folks are getting compensated for your artwork and coding, it seems like the GC store is getting more attention than the GG stores. Being a hard working adult like you folks, you can understand why the GC isn't an option in this economy for those with bills and stuff. So my question is this, are there any plans to update the gold shops or anything else that isn't making me choose between food/gas for this week and this site in the works for the near future?
As a general rule of thumb- we try to update our gold shops at least once, but usually twice a month. Additionally, we've added switchem as permanent feature due to its popularity- it is a free feature that allows Gaians to earn gold. Beyond gold shop updates, and events that award free item grants we also have features that are in the process of being created. These include a site-wide chat, and an Avatar Builder that allows users to preview and quest items on the site, along with new games in the works that are set for release this summer.

In the recent site survey, an updated site/shop UI was more heavily requested than a fishing update, yet was not mentioned as one of your high-priority updates. Are you planning on any site/shop UI changes? Why or why not?
We do have site/shop UI updates planned, however we have a good deal more time and work to put into this kind of update so its a long, slow burn type of project as opposed to fixing/adding to a game. However it is on our to-do list for this year. 3nodding

Yes we did, unfortunately due to the way the data is loaded this was not as simple of a change as we hoped. We have not entirely given up on the idea but it will need to be part of a larger update before it can be fully implemented.

Can you maybe change the way LQI's work? It's really broken and unfair at the moment because the cheaper ones, popular ones, or the ones in Loyal's sell out really quickly and most people don't even have the chance to see the announcement before they're gone.
Maybe make them limited duration instead? Like have them up for a 24 hour period with no quantity cap or something but still have the rest of the rules the same (not back for 6 months, etc).
We have had limited duration LQIs as well- we will continue to release some in this format as well. 3nodding

Shops/Items While I understand why lqi are priced how they are in Loyals do we have any chance of seeing a nice non-lqi/non-gate update in the future? It's such a great shop idea but it seems like we don't see any mid-price/cheap items like when it first opened and that is a bit of a bummer.

I'm not sure if this has been asked for before, but could you guys implement a search feature for gold shops in the future? It's sort of a hassle sifting through gold shops with tons pages worth of stuff when you're looking for just on specific item, especially if the store doesn't have items sorted into different categories (like the Bifrost).
Though not exactly what your looking for I think, the avatar builder will allow you to search individual shops or all shops and will give you a link to purchase the item from the marketplace. In a future update we could possibly also looking at adding a link to purchase items directly from the shop.

I was just a couple of days away to being accepted into Loyals bazaar. Then you guys changed to logging in a certain amount of days to these token thingy's and now I have to start over. How come you guys decided to start everyone over that worked so hard to log on all the time and were almost there?

Would it be possible to remove the gc cost for the Gift Boxes in the Bifrost, especially since 99gc a piece is a little steep for something that will be destroyed. If not removing it entirely, could you at least reduce the cost?

In the pass few Ask the Staff ago, a staff member (sorry I forgot who) said that we might see a CrosStitch contest coming out soon. My question is will the prize money and the entry fee going to be bumped up to match this economy. Since the entry fee is only 10,000 gold and the winnings is 20,000 gold. I mean winning back double your gold entry fee is fine but maybe a bumping them up will give people motive to enter again. 3nodding
Yes, the entry fee was changed recently, and we'll be raising it again, along with the prize.

Thank you so much for the Loyal's Fish Bundle Pack in Loyal's Bazaar! I am so happy that some of the old and new fish are available again for a lower price of Gaia gold! All of us in the Booty Grab Community really appreciate your guys' kindness and generosity toward all of us. C: I was wondering if you guys can do something else though... I was wondering since some fish in Phin Phang were only available for Gaia Cash and are now available for Gaia gold and Gaia Cash as well, I was wondering if you could make all of the fish being sold in Phin Phang that way as well? I think it would be amazing if that were to happen and it would be a great goldsink!

I was wondering why my favourite salon hair vanished without a trace. Is there a way you can reimplement it? It even says 'not for sale' It should be here with the other colours but is not. A lady told me it is available for females.

Rose Red Bloomers used to be in Loyal's Bazaar awhile back before mysteriously disappearing. Bluealaris was going to look into whether someone hated rose bloomers, but still no update. Were these intentionally removed from the store?
This is something we've taken a look into and it seems to be glitched, as they don't seem to be staying in the store. We're taking a look into it.

Our Gold Shop Updates are meant to reflect prices that are more useful for sinking gold, but they could certainly be higher.

Just wondering if Loyal's Fish Bundle is a permanent item in the shop or will it be vanishing at some point? If it is going to be taken out will we be given a warning before it leaves?
