Vespeth was not a social or personal dragon, though her rider was on the bubbly side. At times she wondered what she saw or how Sarai had roped her into the latest lets go and see things. The current case in point was the refugee camped. It smelled, was muddy, and generally just discussing and yet she was all but marching inside it, tail flickering in irritation while her rider continued to babble. Vespeth might have tuned her out.
Sarai smoothed the rich dress she had donned for the occasion and well, her boots might not go with it, but they did keep her out of the mud, for the most part. The dress was one of the few things she had brought. She lounged half on the green’s neck, cheerfully waving at the children and others.

Vosin and Bronze TiaethVos glanced at the others that were part of the group. She was glad Nersha had decided to take some guards. She wasn't totally convinced yet that this place was all that it seemed. Or maybe she felt so lonely here with knowing so few people. Nersha, she knew from growing up at Benden, but that'd been Turns ago. Her eyes traveled over the drilling women. It amazed her to see the women learning to fight. Something to think about as well. On the other hand, there was quite a few more people here than she'd initially thought. Good or bad? Or was she just being paranoid after the massacre? Tiaeth, ask Ves if she's not busy to come down here too. It never hurt to have extra backup. She wondered what the child thought of them. And where were they going? Tiaeth rumbled softly as he realized the gold had been sleeping and he'd woken her up. Apologies for waking you Sereth. I see. He hesitated a moment, then plowed on, perhaps it might be a good idea to be a little more awake. Your rider is away from you, and we don't know what these people are like or what they might do when they find out who Yours is. The bronze hoped it didn't sound too much like a reprimand.
He did not want to be caught napping like the morning of the massacre. Though the memory was starting to fade in his mind, his rider's held it fresh and brought caution to the normally chipper bronze. There were times to play and times to work.
Ves, should you be free, Vos would like you to come down to the camp. It does smell though. The bronze shifted his haunches a bit.

The woman who had been directing the group of Clay Women broke off, striding towards the group of displaced riders. She was a tall and muscular woman, with dark pockmarked skin - the sign of some childhood illness - and dressed in men’s clothing, stripped down as far as possible. Sweat had dripped down her back, and she had obviously been working herself as hard as the girls and women she had brought with her.
“Nersha of golden Sereth” she bowed low, a smooth gesture, still holding the spear she had been leading the drill with. “We were told to expect you and your entourage” Straightening, she smiled (she was missing a few teeth), meeting Nersha’s eyes before glancing across the group. “We are certainly honoured. I believe other representatives are awaiting you” She had a curiously formal way of speaking, and an accent that said that she might have been from Telgar way.

AMItotic I think you're Valdene's Mentor's player? I cant remember... Clearly the camp was not usual, which meant it was a happening thing, which meant Suuyeth had to be there, investigating. The tiny blue circled overhead, looking over the whole thing with glee. His rider, for her part, was trying to keep busy on the outskirts of the weyr, do her part, and ignore his chattering. he chirped to her, banking a little lower for a better look, Valdene said, shrugging.
squealed Suuyeth happily,

Settling back down Sereth was content to let the conversation go after the bronze's apology. Unfortunately he was not and an irritated rumble vibrated through the dragon's chest. She did not like being woken, nor did she like this bronze presuming to tell her what she should do. They are very aware who she is, that is why she is there. She had her humans with her, there was no need for Sereth to be hovering over her like a mother-wherry. Letting out a huff the gold shifted again, glancing at Banneth before trying, once again, to go back to sleep.
Nersha was aware of her dragon's stirring, but knew her curiosity wouldn't be peaked the moment the Tiaeth suggested something to her. Sereth didn't take well to suggestions at the best of times. Feeling her attempt to get comfortable and sleep longer Nersha was able to turn the majority of her attention to the woman striding towards them. She was imposing, there was no denying that at all. Something the rider herself never had, and probably never would experience. Nersha smiled politely, inclining her head in return of the woman's bow. "Thank you," she said pleasantly, "Would you perhaps be able to guide us to where they are?" Her or anyone really. Either way they needed a guide. The camp was not exactly organised. Not in any way Nersha could tell.

Banneth moved sensing a disturbance and looked over Sereth. He questioned, gentle and composed. He shifted, moving in a more alert pose if needed but not jumping to conclusions.

“Of course” The woman bowed slightly, then, her face a little flushed with what might have been a very pure delight, added “It really does seem as though we are living in a time of miracles, that you appear out of nowhere, and - if you will excuse my chattering - it makes me feel as though we could achieve almost anything. Perhaps change our status in law, for it isn’t just that a woman’s life is worth half of a man’s, or bring the dreadful practice of debt-bondage down forever, and - no, too much, I will save it, but I really - we really - do all feel so honoured”
She turned sideways to look at her pupils, with a jerk of her head. “Go on, you’ve all got chores! Jerene if I find you’ve been slacking I will tan your hide and use it to bind books!”
Apparently satisfied, she turned back, attempting to look a little more formal. “Please, follow me”
She led them towards a large ‘square’ near the centre of the camp where a small gathering of men and women - mostly men - had gathered around a small fire, on which a pot of klah was heating.

Vesin was just shuffling around the weyr feeling rather lost when Tiaeth spoke to her. With a sigh, she made sure she was at least presentable since she would most likely be representing Sereth. If she was back up for Vos then she would be. She wasn't quite so sure what to think of Sereth and Nersha. While they were from their own time, which Ves was still having quite a hard time getting her mind wrapped around, she wasn't so fond of their persons. But Vos wanted her back up so she would be there. She said before jumping up and Keli and beginning their flight outside the Weyr. Kelilayth wasn't sure what to think but the smell was horrendous. He landed just outside and sent Vesin the path he had seen through the camp to get to Vosin. He said as Ves dismounted. Vesin strode confidently through the camp even though she didn't feel so confident. She heard Keli take to the sky again, probably to keep a better eye and get away from the smell some. Once she found her sister, which took a lot of walking through mud and ignoring all the distractions although she kept notice of how many people was where, she stood just behind her sister and touched her elbow to let her know she was there.

No, Sereth replied with a slight hint of a huff. There is a bronze suggesting I be more alert for Nersha's meeting. As though she has never had a meeting before. It was ridiculous, her rider was perfectly safe. Meetings were boring, Nersha had them all the time and they were always boring. How best to respond to the awkward Lords new marriage? Who should now be in charge of the candidates? How many bags of tubers did the Weyr have?! It was stupid and boring. Besides, your rider is with her.
Nersha smiled back at the woman. And it was a sincere smile. She had so many hopes, hopes that they could make things better. Not even just for herself. All this woman wanted was for the world to be different. Yet, while she smiled, Nersha felt her gut twist. There was no way she could see for her to fix these things and do what needed to be done. She was no great revolutionary leader, it had taken so much for her just to maintain things in the status quo everyone had seemingly wanted things to be in before. Yet here she was, meeting people who saw hope in her mere existence. It felt like she was lying simply by being. Following the woman Nersha packed up her feelings and pushed them away. There was a job needed doing and for the good of those that had come forward she had to do it.
Then, maybe, she could see if there was anything she could do.
Nersha looked at the gathering around the fire as they drew near. Quickly she glanced back at her group to be sure they'd not lost anyone and instead noticed they had gained one. The other of the two bronzeriding twins. As long as this one didn't fancy bringing trouble with her then it was just fine by her. Nersha's gaze lingered on Ra'fe a moment before she nodded briefly and turned back to the group. This was it. Saying a quick, polite, thank you to the woman that guided them she stepped forward.
"Greetings, I am Nersha of gold Sereth, former Weyrmistress of Benden Weyr, and I believe you desire to speak with me."

Banneth eyes whirled in slight surprised and he reached, touching his riders mind before returning, voice tingled in amusement. He knew that Ra’fe had been watching, but the entire mess must have grated too much for his rider to remain away. He rumbled in good nature amusement and settled back down besides the queen.
He had debated on remaining back, had caught sight of the riders, she had a train of people with her. But it wasn’t enough. Ra’fe eyes flickered to Nersha and he nodded slightly, falling behind. Well, he would be ready to protect her as needed. Even if he didn’t as pretty as the rest of the group.

[Who sucks? Con sucks at remembering things. HUGE apologies]
“Merciful Nersha, we are honoured by your presence” a large man in fine clothing rose to his feet, sketching a graceful bow. He was not a small man - in fact, his bulk was massive, though there seemed to be some muscle underneath the rolls of fat from the way he moved. “Is there anything that we can offer you?”
“You can get her some sharding klah, Mitche, not stand around pulling fine words out of your arse” the Clay Woman said sharply. “Or are you waiting for a woman to do it?”
“I hardly think squabbling amongst ourselves is the image we want to project” a third Sofiane interjected gracefully. The older woman had - while the other two were facing off - walked over and begun to pour klah, and now moved forward to offer it to the rider and her accompanying escort. “My lady. As Mitche said, we are honoured to have you visit us - your reappearance has been nothing short of miraculous. Please, forgive us our disagreements, and sit and drink with us. Your fellows are equally welcome"

[S'alright. Not sure what you wanna do about it though since stuff has moved on so much ICly. ^^; ]
A polite nod was Nersha's acceptance of their honour. A 'No, thank you' leapt to her lips, but the Clay Woman was faster. This woman was growing on her somewhat. Maybe it was the way she so easily seemed to stand her ground and seemed secure in herself. Nersha respected that.
"It's quite alright. Thank you...?" Nersha prompted for the woman's name as she accepted the mug. It was polite to know people by name and how people introduced themselves was always a good point to remember. The longer an introduction the more important a person was, or at least thought themselves. That was why Nersha was always made to introduce herself by her name, Sereth's name, Sereth's colour, her rank, her Weyr and anything else she could smush in there.
On point of the squabbling it hinted that perhaps the Sofianes were as disorganised as their camp. They had their representatives true, but were they representatives of different factions. Nersha thought that most likely. Pleasing several factions was all the more difficult. Especially if they couldn't even agree on what they wanted or worse their wants directly conflicted.
