Mercer gragged the boot, But he was in the air making it a stupid idea, He fell hard on his back, and he felt the pain of the mat, "Come on stupid get up, or else your shot is gone." he would think.

THUD!
Scorpio was sent crashing to the mat after having met J. W.'s cowboy boot in a midair collision. Having dropped his opponent, the defending champion would quickly attempt to follow up with an elbow drop to the sternum.

Mercer would try to snap back in it, He was a little out of it but he wasn't an idiot. He rolled over dodging the elbow attempt. He picked himself up barely by the ropes trying to get back into it. He did and now he's staring down The champion and motioned him to bring it on.

Seems that, once again, Caliber found nobody home as his elbow drop missed its mark. The champ was quickly back to his feet, shaking the pins and needles out of his arm on the way back up.
Once J. W. was back to a vertical base, he would offer his opponent a lock-up. If Scorpio accepted, the South Texas Stallion would attempt to catch him in a side headlock.

Scorpio watched as he came over to hit him, But he stopped all of that by sending two feet towards his face keeping him from gaining distance. Once that was done he would then run against the ropes and come back for a clotheslines.

It would appear that Scorpio was in no mood to grapple, as evidenced by the dropkick that put the champ back down on the mat. By the time J. W. had started getting back up, the challenger was charging toward him. Seeing as how he was kinda close to the ropes, Caliber tried to do what any competitor with half a brain would do, which would be attempting to launch his opponent over the top rope and out of the ring with a back body drop.

((Unsure if you could get caught when you don't do the clothesline but something else but to make it fair i'd rather you decide for that.)) He watched as he was getting up, maybe now was the time he could prove that he came to compete. He wen't for a spear, If it hit him they would fly threw the middle opening of the ropes. If he missed or was countered he would grab the ropes to prevent any contact with the floor and hold on for dear life.

((A spear isn't the best move to transition to while in a full charge. Even if it did connect, it would be awkward as hell and look like s**t.))
Scorpio was sent flying by Caliber's back body drop, but grabbed the top rope as he went over, just barely managing to keep his feet from hitting the floor. J. W. noticed this little problem as he rose up to his full height, and tried to correct it as he attempted to hit his opponent with a superkick while Mercer was still pulling himself back up onto the apron. Hopefully, if it connected, it would knock the challenger off of the apron and down to the floor.

This fight is keeping me on the edge of my seat.)) Scorpio saw the kick coming and did the only thing he could think of at the moment. He would drop himself to the mat. Too close to the edge for comfort. He quickly rolled in and ran to the other side. He began heavily breathing. "Jeez man." he said smiling as he was having troubling trying to stay to his feet.

Apparently, this guy has the reflexes of friggin' SPIDER-MAN, J. W. thought in annoyance as Scorpio dodged a blazing fast superkick. While his opponent was trying to regroup, the champ took the opportunity to reach for the flask in his hip pocket and take a swig of the probably alcoholic contents.

Standing to his feet he saw him take a drink of something in a Flask. "Jeez i can go for a drink right now." he said as he was back to full stamina, gulping in a nice breath of air. He gestured him a bring it motion.

J. W. appeared to be in no particular hurry to engage his opponent as he returned the flask to his pocket. Was he playing mind games with the challenger after all, or did he really just not give a crap? Only one way to find out...
