This assualt was something that could be avoided, however, how Viper could have missed a man in white in a night sky was mysterious itself. In any case, Epitome's eyes capturing it's focous upon the beam attack, he would allow his desire to take him up. Floating kinectically his sheer influence and will would be known, and had manifested itself by levitating him, not slowly, but at around 60mph. The thermo kinectic increase, he had used earlier clearly did not help, as the being seemed to feed off of it. This ofcourse called for him to lift an eyebrow. His body glowed that of a deep black..it almost mixed with his essence perfectly, had it not been for it's crimson tint.
He was about to use yet another one of his techniques..

Tor's wings were brought around to shield him like a cocoon as he passed through the city, rotating to face Viper. He pulled off to one side, darting away from the point where the beams met as a shield of grey light seemed to surround his wings. Should destruction and neutrality meet, two opposing means to the same end would not nullify one another, but deflect and only create more destruction on either side of the phoenix. Even as he began to rise again he seemed to vanish from sight, the first step in a four part spell known as Perception Null.
