"It sounds like he's a very smart man." She smiled, a rare moment of non stuttering. Flutter wouldn't have even noticed it if it weren't for trying to avoid the subject of why she wasn't eating the deer he'd brought along for them.
"H-hey! I d-d-didn't st-st-stut-stutter th-that time!" Flutter lit up, at least until he pulled out the bowl of fruits. Oh Guardians something that was good dripping and raw.
"S-s-save th-them then." Flutterby smiled, She wanted so bad to tell him to save them for dessert, but the growling of her stomach completely gave her away. "erg..." The enthusiasm she was trying to show was quickly fading, this act wasn't going to last much longer if they didn't change the subject. "I th-th-thought you li-l-l-liked R-Rose?"

Hemi instantly caught the not-stuttering, and his concerned face quickly turned into a bright smile. "Maybe you're warming up to me?" The hybrid male joked with a chuckle. It was nice to appreciate her voice without the stutter, and it made it easier for him to understand her. But he still didn't mind her speech impediment.
He would have almost believed her not being hungry, if it wasn't for the low grumble of a hungry stomach. His smile moved to a half grin as he picked up an apple slice. "Sure, sure. But you can still try a little beforehand. I want to know what you think of the fruit." He extended the slice to her. "Rosewater...Rosewater..." A blush spread across his face involuntarily. "Well, yes. But...Promise you won't find me corny?" He knew the subject of her sister was going to pop up sooner rather than later. He thought up of a million different responses prior. His father though...his father had preached honesty. Even if the response wouldn't be good.
"I know there's a soulmate for me. Like my parents, or like my Uncle Dameon and Aunt Starry. And Rosewater is...interesting. I want to like her. But..." His free hand lifted to rub the back of his neck. "I don't think she's my soulmate. She doesn't...click right, you know?"

Flutter frowned, of course she was warming up to him. She was out on a date with the guy wasn't she? But he was trying to be nice about her stutter, and it was a lot better than how her dad had handled it at first. "C-course I a-am!" Her frown turned upside down, smiling just for him.
Waters he was so insistent on her eating something! But that apple certainly seemed a lot more appetizing than not quite cooked meat. "O-o-okay..." The femme agreed reluctantly, leaning towards him to grab the apple out of his hand with her teeth. Now this was good and juicy, in the good way. "mmmm~" She licked her lips, relishing the taste. He'd picked a really good apple. And then her actions caught up with her mind. A blush spread across her pale face, promptly embarrassed at her behavior. How could she have possibly done that without knowing the guy more first? She was gonna die when her momma found out!
"TH-th-thats not c-co-corny." She smiled, still blushing. Really, Flutter was just glad Rose and Hemi didn't click right. It meant Rose might not get everything Flutter ever set her eyes on. "I-i-i-its s-s-sw-sweet."

She was beautiful when she smiled, he wished she did it more often. The male almost commented on it but decided against it. The female was shy, and he didn't want to make her uncomfortable.
Then she literally ate from his hand. His blush deepened further as suddenly shy little Flutterby didn't seem so shy. "...Thanks. What about you? I'm sure you're beating guys away with a stick." Hemi spoke as he reached down and picked up a chunk of banana to offer to the female. "Glad to see the apple is good. What about the banana?"
Was he stealthily getting the female to eat?
He'd never tell.

Flutterby shook her head, "Y-y-you're th-th-the fi-fi-f-f-first." And it was true. Maybe it was because she'd never really left the house, or maybe it was just because no one really found her attractive outside of Hemi. No matter how she looked at it, the fact that he found her pretty at all was a miracle to her.
"Ooooo, one of my favorites~" The sprite smiled, taking the sliced banana much the same way she had the apple.

"Really?" He couldn't believe that! Flutterby was...Flutterby is...absolutely gorgeous. To him at least. A hot hot hottie. "I guess I'm setting the bar then." Today was just a date. Too soon to expect to be exclusive, and he couldn't imagine a beautiful pae like Flutter to not try and do better than...well...him. An awkward shaggy haired Shetani.
When she bit into the banana the same as the apple, he flashed another smile. Then slowly he inched a little closer to her. Presumably so he wouldn't have to reach so far with the next food item, but really it was to get nearer to the pink haired hybrid. "Now I've tried the mango myself, and I don't want to gloat but I think I found an excellent tree." He took the piece of juicy mango in hand.

She nodded enthusiastically, smiling at the male. Surely he didn't need words to know how sweet he was being. Right? It was hard enough to speak clearly when she was flustered like today, much less when she was excited. But that made twice today she'd spoken without a single stutter... "You set it r-r-really high~" And for that she was glad. But then, who else would ever want her to go on a date with them? She was just a little freak who wouldn't fit in anywhere...
"I'm sure you did~" The sprite grinned, inching closer to him herself. Her reasons were purely honest, they were both reaching quite the distance to get to one another, especially if she was going to let him keep feeding her like that.

He almost didn't catch that her stutter momentarily had all but vanished, all too entranced by how lovely her crimson eyes were. She even inched closer to him, which made him come even closer. Until they were side by side. Hemi lifted the mango to her lips, the tips of his fingers just touching her hand. "Thank the Guardians. I'm trying to impress a really pretty girl, and thought I was floundering horribly."

Flutter giggled, "I think you're doing wonderfully~" That aside, she didn't know what else to expect. He was a super sweet guy, and looked really really handsome. And then of course, there was that mango, with sweet juice dripping down his fingers. Blushing, she gently took the bite, licking a couple of his fingers in the process. Never once did she break eye contact.
He was being so kind in making sure she was properly fed, and the fruit was really yummy. And that was about when she began to wonder if his lips tasted as good as his fingers did...

He was already getting really cozy next to her, but as she licked his flinger tips without breaking eye contact...The poor hot blooded male almost lost all coherent thought. His blue eyes flicked down to her lips, their thoughts unknowingly swinging on the same plane.
"Hey...you got a little...juice on you." His voice had dropped to almost a whisper, his now deeper adult voice a low vibration. "I'll get that." The hand that had been feeding the female moved to gently cup her face as he figured out for himself just how sweet the mango was on her lips.

Flutterby did her best not to squeak, only turning as red as her eyes. His lips were just as tasty as she'd imagined they would be too! Waters this was... unexpected and brilliant!
Half a moment passed, Flutter's eyes had both widened and begun to close when she realized she was supposed to be kissing him back. Completely unsure of what to do, she pressed her lips against his, a little firmer. She liked this kissing thing, especially with Hemi.
(And with nothing of real value to return! I blame late at night!)

Now this kiss was very different from the one he shared with Rosewater. That was similar to kissing a wall. Flutter was warm, and sweet. He held the kiss for a moment before pulling back, opening eyes he didn't know he closed. "...Wow." The hand on her cheek gently stroked it with the thumb.
"The mango is delicious." A half grin spread on his face, masking the previous nervousness he felt. His heart kept thumping in his chest though, threatening to burst. It really was only his second kiss. And it went over a lot better than the first.

There was no real way she was going to recover from blushing that deep, not in a million years. Whatever had just happened, it left her breathless. "Whoa..." The femme managed to squeak out, just shocked anything could ever feel like... Well like that.
"Mmhmm~" Flutter grinned, gently leaning her head into his hand. "C-c-can we h-have an-another?" If mangoes meant kisses like that, she wanted all she could get!

That was a wish he would happily oblige. The male picked up another juicy morsel to gently feed to the fauny sprite. "Suddenly I wish I had all the mangoes on the isle." As soon as she finished the piece that was given, the male would lean in for another sweet kiss.
If this was what dating was like, it really was ALL that he imagined and more.

Flutter smiled, trying not to giggle. She was almost wishing the same thing. She looked up into his eyes, happy to kiss him again. And once it was over, she was left breathless again. If this was dating, she wanted to do a lot of it.
The sprite paused a bit, looking up to him once again. Things were moving a little fast though, weren't they. "W-wh-what d-do y-y-y-you l-like to d-do f-for f-f-fun?" She asked, honest. She wanted to get to know him at least a little better before they started more kissing. That and she was quite happy with the bits of fruit she'd munched on, no more of that right then.
