Ever was trying to shut her locker,which was overflowing with her textbooks,paper and god knew what else. She finally managed to close it shut by leaning her body against it. She locked it and leaned against it with a sigh. Whew was that a work out,she really needed to get organized. But she doubted that would ever happen,organization wasn't her thing. Just then her phone buzzed in her pocket and she pulled it out seeing she had a text message from her mother. The text told Ever that her mom would be working another late case at her law office. Ever just sent back a simple ok and shove her pone back into her tiny Jean pocket. Ever rarely saw her mother these days,she'd been a complete workaholic before the divorce. But now Ever could go days without seeing her mother who left the house early and came home incredibly late if it all. Her twin brother had insisted going to a different school and was also ralrely home. Truth be told for someone like Ever going home to an empty and lonely hows was always the worst part of her day. Just then Jack walked up to her and she gave him a bright i'm-so-happy-to-see-you smile. Seeing Jack instantly shook her out of her thoughts. She was happy to see him and at least she wouldn't be alone for a little bit longer today. "Jack! Glad you made it." She said to him bouncing excitedly on the balls of her feet. Finally she got to be alone with Jack,and learning sign language was just an added bonus." Come on follow me to my humble abode."She said to him happily as she began to lead them out of the school and towards her house.

Ever happily walked to her house,glad to have Jack's company as she walked. Walking alone could get tiring and boring. They reaached her house pretty quickly,as she didn't live that far from the high school. Her house was a pretty big,but looked modest and suburban normal.She pulled out her house key from her pocket and opened the front door."Come on in" She said looking back at Jack as she walked into the big empty house. Unlike her room,the rest of the house was meticulously clean,organized and looked like nobody lived there.. Not a hair out of place,and Ever hated it. When she was younger she used to make a mess of everything,because she had wanted to at least be scolded by one of her parents to at least have them pay attention to her. But the next day the mes would be cleaned by one of the maids her mother had hired because she didn't have time to do housework. Ever had given up on making messes a long time ago,but she still kept her room chaotic and the maids had specific instructions to stay away from her room. She considered taking Jack to her room but it was way to chaotic and messy to show to someone. So instead she led Jack into the living room and flopped down on the leather couch facing the large flat screen T.V. "Take a seat Jack." She said looking up at him with a bright happy smile." So where do we begin with the sign language lesson?" She asked him excitedly,happy to just be have Jack here to teach her something new.

Ever briefly wondered what Jack thought about her home. Every one who knew her was always surprised that mess unorganized Ever could live in such a big,perfect and clean house. Ever would much rather live in a small cluttered home filled with people then live here. Bigger definitely wasn't always better. Shaking her head and brushing her red hair out of her face she sat down next to Jack on the couch. She folded her legs underneath her and faced her body so she was looking at Jack head on.She sat so they were close but there was still enough room for another person between them. She grinned at the notebook he held up and read his question and bit her lip in thought. Her sign language was starting,and she had looked forward to this all day." Well let's start with like basic everyday words? Wash room,kitchen,water stuff like that." She said to him looking at him with very serious and focused expression on her face.

Ever wondered how the inside of Jack's house looked like. He seemed to be a pretty organized person from what she'd so far. The complete opposite of her and she kind of liked that. Ever loved being around people who she shared similar interests with but also enjoyed being around people she had nothing in common with. When Jack wrote something on the notebook and put it in front of her,she looked down and read it. She looked back up at him to signal she understood what he was doing.She paid strict attention to his hands which she couldn't help but think were beautiful. She smiled back at him and perfectly mimicked his signs. She repeated the signs a second time and gave him a bright smile. "Hey look at me I'm learning,this is fun. What's next?" She asked him excitedly,as she was having fun learning sign language.

Ever was quite happy with the way her lesson was going. Yes she was an incredibly talkative person but this would give her away to converse with someone else other than using her big mouth. Plus she really liked the idea of being able to communicate with Jack in a way that not everyone could do. It felt nice to share this with him and she silently cursed herself for not talking to him sooner. How could she miss out on getting to know someone as awesome as Jack? She looked down at the next word he had written and smiled as she mimicked his action. She had a good memory and could easily remember the few signs they had already practiced after only doing them once. Now if she could only put that memory to use when it came to chemistry. But sign language was a lot more interesting than chemistry.

Ever was getting a handle on sign language and was copying every one of Jack's signs perfectly. They were pretty simple but she was hoping they could get up to more complicated signs in the future. The basics were important before they moved onto anything else. She looked down at the next word he was going to sign and looked back up to him,copying his movement. They did that for the next two hours. Jack writing down words and Ever copying everything he signed. They had fallen into a comfortable pace for two hours and eventually Ever stretched out her arms and wiggled her legs that had fallen asleep." I think we should call it a day Jack,can we continue our lessons some other time?" She asked him happily as she looked over him with one eye. Her red hair had fallen over her face and covered her other eye. She stayed silent for a moment and then began to sign "Stay for dinner?" She signed simply using the few words she had learned over the past couple of hours. She wanted to thank Jack for teaching her today. Plus she was a good cook and hated eating alone. Neither her mother or brother would be home for awhile.So what if she got to spend more time with Jack,that was just an added bonus.
