Aquarius tilted his head as he looked at the sleeping adult. A sickness? That would explain how she could sleep so deeply with all these foals around her... He himself was a light sleeper, so much noise would have him up in an instant! Maybe it was a curse like in a fairy tale that made her like this.
He blushed a bit at the weirdos comment, and looked away so if he started to well up it couldn't be seen. "I think those are all good ideas... making her comfortable, I mean..." That was the right thing to do, after all, wasn't it?

Rock Sugar nodded excitedly. He normally wasn't one to get involved in things but there was something about this mare just said he had to help. "Hopefully it isn't any kind of sickness." The blue mare didn't seem in distress.
"A pile of leaves maybe?" Rock didn't have anything else in his pack that would make a good pillow. His handkerchief floated down to the sleeping mare's face and started to wipe mud from it.

Rabbit's wings vibrated with excitement! They could totally do this! She nodded at all of the suggestions with a smile.
"Those are great ideas!"
They'd need the supplies, though. Instead of going with her instincts and denying that she was any kind of a 'weirdo', she turned full on to Paper Tiger and grinned practically ear to ear.
"Wanna turn it into a game? Whoever can get the most sticks and leaves in the shortest amount of time wins."

Ohhhhhhh.... now a challenge she would like to do. She had no interest in helping the mare, but she never missed an opportunity to prove how awesome she was.
"I like the way you think, Pink. I'll get more sticks and leaves than you. In fact, I'll get more sticks and leaves than all of you combined."
These foals had no idea the embarrassment they were in for. She was going to school them hard on how to collect sticks.
"Stay out of the way, and watch the master work," Paper Tiger said before bolting off toward some trees. "You snooze, you lose, suckers!"

Everyone was pretty ramped up about this, although he wasn't so sure a competition was the way to go when you were trying to help out... But if it ended up with everyone working together, it couldn't be bad!
"O-oh alright! I'll go over there and get some stuff..." he said, trotting off toward some different trees, but not too far from the mare. He wasn't worried about being the fastest or getting the most really, because as long as he stayed loyal and true to the cause, he would be happy.

Rock grinned to himself as he watched the competitive orange fosl run off in search of leaves and sticks. It was a smart way to get her to help. The quicker they made the mare more comfortable, the better he felt. The sleeping mare's face was free of mud, Rock washed out his handkerchief in the pond.
"I'll stay by why you all get everything." not that everyone else was going far or would take long. He knew they'd come back with plenty of supplies. "I can judge who brought the most back."

Kaiju nudged the purple unicorn's shoulder, smiling. "Thank you for staying to watch over her. I'll be close by- so will the rest of us. Give a shout if you need anything!" With that, he took off in the direction of the earth filly with the odd tail and eyes- Paper Tiger. If she was as professional of a badass as she claimed, he'd like to see what she could do. He was always recruiting for the Phonyland Monster Patrol. She certainly was fast- but he could fly, and his aerial vantage let him see where she'd gone easily. He couldn't quite reach the tops of the trees, but he could get at some of the branches. It'd be easier to gather up there, and would mean more of the ground resources could go to his terrestrial teammates.

Rabbit grinned as the other ponies ran off to search for supplies. Turning to look at Rock Candy she nodded and grinned. "D'ya need any help wiping her face off? I don't have a cool handkerchief or nothin', but I have my wings."
She watched the other phonies and laughed. "I can take a few seconds to help ya out, before I go show them how it's done."

The pretty blue boy was going to be easy to beat. He seemed to be moseying around.
Paper Tiger heard the guy with the rock butt say he was staying behind to judge. He just must have been afraid to lose. She could get behind that; why even bother trying when she was so awesome?
Pink hadn't started yet. Although Paper Tiger was sure she was going to catch up quickly. That didn't matter though. She just had to be done before the pegasus even got going.
The winged colt was going to be a problem. He could break branches off of trees while she could only gather ones that had already fallen. It would be easy for him to just keep track of what she had, and keep on pace from that viewpoint. She was going to have to find somewhere sneaky to gather from. Perhaps she could go under some low bushes.
Paper Tiger darted into some shrubs. The branches under here looked a little weak, but the goal was quantity, not quality. Her tail flopped around as she pounced on every little stick she could find. She grabbed as much as she could, and the dashed into her next target, another bush.

Kaiju noted the filly darting into the shrubbery. He figured she was trying to lose him- she did seem to be taking the competition very seriously- and while winning was nice, it'd be better for the mare if they had a common cause and worked together. Helping the possibly injured mare was more important than winning any contest. "Hey! Down there! Paper Tiger!" he shouted before dropping a large, leafy section of branch. "Wanna take some of this stuff? It'll be faster if we work together!"

Rock nodded at Kaiju. "Not a problem!"
He was wiping the mares face with a damp cloth now with Rabbit spoke to him. "Sure, her face is a little wet now, maybe you can dry it off real quick?" The others looked like they were having tons of fun. The One called Paper Tiger was super into it. He was a little intimidated by her, glad he wasn't part of the little contest. Rock was very content with sticking around while the others raved about. The goal went through his pack again to make sure he didn't have anything else useful.

Rabbit was gentle to dry off the sleeping adult's face. The whole thing was strange- She couldn't imagine what it was like to just fall asleep wherever.
"All dry! Thank you for staying with her while we look, Rock Candy!"
She beamed at him and took off towards the others. A part of her felt awful that they were leaving the lady, but it had been her suggestion that they do so. And it wasn't like they weren't coming back. They were just looking for things to make her more comfortable.
She darted into the brush and started gathering fallen leaves to make into a pillow. She could hear the blue pegasus, Kaiju, trying to get Paper Tiger to team up. She needed to up her game! Rabbit piled mouthfuls of dry leaves onto her back and extended her wings to hold them in place- A trick she'd learned when trying to carry a baby bunny she'd found once. She'd need a lot more than that, though, to beat the other ponies so she kept looking.
Maybe she would look for the light blue babby ... What was his name? Aqua something.

Aquarius thought he had a nice decent sized pile going on from his gathering, there was several sticks and leaves, and most of them were dry! And probably clean. But they didn't really have much a choice there, really. But when he looked over at the other babbies, it definitely looked like they were gathering more!
He didn't think he'd really be into the competition, but being the slowest and the worst wasn't really a great feeling. Piling them up on his back as best as he could, Aquarius began to bring them back to the sleeping mare, although a bit slowly, to keep them from falling.
"A-ah, um, Rabbit right?" he called to the pink pegasus as he spied her. "Maybe I can help you gather sticks and leaves... since I'm kinda slow."

Teaming up? Humph. It wasn't something Paper Tiger usually did, and she was about to tell Kaiju no, but she saw two of the other foals working together. She wanted to prove how good she was on her own, but winning was more important than accepting help.
"Alright, we can work together, but don't slow me down!" She grabbed the branch that was dropped by her and added it to her collection.
A few more sticks made her load as much as she could carry, so Paper Tiger began to dash back to the sleeping mare. Her plan was to drop it off and then go get more depending on how much the other foals brought back.

"I won't!" Kaiju shouted down to her before attacking the tree with gusto. He pulled a bunch of leafy branches down, looking for ones that weren't so huge- he didn't want to kill the tree, after all. He wondered if his friend Flits was around here- he lived in a tree, or at least he had when he was a colt. When he was confident that he had two loads, he swooped down and grabbed as much as he could reliably fly with.
Flapping back to the pond, he saw the orange filly deposit her collection. "There's more where that came from!" he chirped as they passed. "If you go grab that other load, you're sure to win the competition!"
