As the other moves with him, Kerrigan considers his strategy thus far. He had never been trained for this. His back hurt. His side ached.
Pathetic?
1- He snarls, lashing his head over and going for an ear- a head- the neck- anything! 2- The force of his sudden movement causes his a splinter of pain to shoot up his side, compounded by the force of the other blow, and he flings his neck over the other in a parody of an embrace- missing his target completely, his herbivore's teeth closing on only air.

Thane felt the stallion's teeth latch onto the meat of his neck and he let out a yell of pain, instinctively ripping away from his grip. That would leave an open wound for sure.
Thane returned the blow in kindness, aiming to rip his teeth into flesh also.
1. Thane bites down on some part of his opponent. 2. Thane misses.

Kerrigan growls, as much from pain as from outrage at himself. He'd left himself open to a counter-attack again. He tried to wait, but he didn't know when if ever the other would choose to let go.
1- Decision made, he twists his leg around to kick, trying to force the other off by striking at a knee while at the same time freeing himself. 2- Kerrigan strikes out, but his vision is poor- so locked tight are they- and his leg strikes the air between Thane's front two kneecaps.

Thane snarled in pain, and backed away, limping. He would be feeling that in the morning. The only solace was his accelerated healing for being part uni. Well there went his ability to lunge properly.
Back to the basics, he thought, as his charged with his horn aimed at the neck of the stallion.
1. Thane makes impact with his horn into the neck of Kerrigan. 2. Thane missed, not fast enough with his injured leg.

Kerrigan had felt his blow connect with satisfaction, then scolded himself inwardly again as he barely dodged the mixedbreed's next blow.
1- He lashes out in frustration, propelling himself onto his front legs to kick at the stallion's ribcage. A blow for a blow. 2- Kerrigan's back prevents him from getting his hooves high enough off the ground, and his kick slides just under the other's belly.

Thane took too kicking, too. He was used more to aerial battle, and ground was taking some getting used to. Because his front leg wouldn't support him properly, he reared on his hind legs, using his one good arm to aim a blow to the skull of the opponent.
1. Thane's hoof connects in the blow. 2. Thane missed, unused to this type of combat.

The stallion's blow lands on his face, and Kerrigan wheels, dizzy. Roaring once more with outrage, he lunges sideways, throwing all of himself into a final haphazard attack.
1- He careens into Thane, lashing out with everything he is. 2- He wheels off to the side, his depth perception knocked off by the blow, dizzy and not feeling at all well.
