Resplendent | Female | Adult Pony Role: Wishes to be second in command Player Name: Pixeldeerest
Plot Ideas: Resplendent would most likely see the group heading off in search of the new home and become interested in following. She naturally lives in the hotter parts and is experienced in travel. Get favourite hobby, however, is mouthing off and taking charge. If she joined, which she'd want to, she'd butt heads with the leader and be reporting everything he says - but louder.

i love Respendent's personality! 8D Trigger's not a control freak, he won't mind too much if someone's butting heads with him! i think he'd actually be kinda impressed. o - o
A thought would be perhaps her father was a Seer in another herd, and he had a dream one night of a terrible storm, one that wiped out the herd and their little oasis... but also showed him a much larger place, with a giant waterfall and enough grass to keep the whole herd fat. He tried to warn the leader, but sadly the stallion was stubborn and thought himself a god. After talking to his mare, the two took little Darling, barely old enough to walk, through the desert toward Big Thunder. The journey took the life of Darling's mother, something the dream didn't show but both her and the stallion had known the possibility of, and the stallion himself barely made it. Darling herself was weak and half dead from the trip as well, but her father did everything he could to protect her... including fighting off a mountain lion that took his life. Alone, young, and weak, Darling had to get really tough really fast. She became swift, cunning, and strong. She also grew up curious... curious to the outside world, to what lies beyond the tan seas, and what lies beyond the stars...
Or, less dramatically, she could always be one along for the ride from the start~ >w<

i don't mind the drama at all! however i think according to the shop rules, we're not allowed to create backstories with parents and so on (i know it seems a little weird, but i think yellow just doesn't want people making up like random epic backstories instead of actively evolving the present plot).
i do like your story, though -- so maybe like, to avoid breaking rules, it could be that all Darling remembers is growing up in the desert? so she doesn't really know how she got there, maybe she only has like super vague memories of her parents.
Red River is kinda like that too, he's been living in the mountains his whole life. they could know each other? 8D

yeah, i agree with you that it's a little awkward for figuring out characters, but it's yellow's shop i guess. x3
i was thinking maybe one of them notices the herd moving through the mountains? but he/she is too afraid to approach them by him/herself, so they go to find the other one all like 'come with meeee i'm scared'. xD
'cause like, they barely ever see strange ponies in the desert?
i'm cool with River being the awkward butt if that's OOC for Darling? River's brave, but not like... socially-experienced. xD he's kind of a Wild Child.

>w< I could totally see Darling tugging on his mane like 'mere, i see ponies but they're strange ponies and idontknowwhattodo.' because she's both curious as all get out and shy like crazy too. XD I'd imagine if they didn't meet till she was older-ish, not having any contact with other ponies would make her a bit socially awkward, not knowing what to do or say but also wondering about everything about them~

Plot Ideas: In a way we already have a plot going. Nonetheless she is very helpful and is willing to lighten the load of the lead stallion so he doesn't have to do everything himself.She is the calm and collected type, and is welcome to making new friends, even forming close relations with her herd mates. She would probably try to avoid violence and violent confrontations. She is the go with the flow kind of gal. She does love to explore and she loves trying new stuff to find out what she enjoys.
