Noemi cocked her head at his answer, squeaking at his jab and rubbing the spot he got and trying to remember FEAR shields took the damage and she was okay. It was always weird...
But his answer was too quick, and Noemi wanted to help Finn through...whatever seemed to be troubling him.
"I am overly attached to Milo." She admitted, "I...I don't think....I can do these big missions without him....and sometimes I think...Sometimes I worry that I rely on him too much." She was hoping the admittance would have a snowball effect, leading to Finn revealing his trouble.
"But I don't...I can't leave him either."

He grinned that oh so cold grin of his, the one that hid everything he was feeling from view, as he squashed it all back down on the inside as well, because what the ******** was he thinking? He didn't want to talk to her about this, and he certainly didn't want to stand around talking about his feelings as if his d**k had fallen off and he was on his period. And he most certainly did not want to hear about her feelings for Milo. "Forget that I said anything." Just because she didn't appear to feel like taking advantage of this moment to attack him with her weapon, didn't mean that Finn had to do the same. He swung at her again, aiming to catch her on the shoulder. HP: 23 Damage: 4 Charge: 3/3

Noemi knew she messed up the minute he said forget it and she sighed inwardly to herself. She really was no good for helping people that she liked. Or for friends.
His strike grazed her shoulder, making her wince a bit.
She lapsed back into silence as she stabbed at him, striking his arm.

Thankfully, she didn't press the issue, and the gloves were back off, so to speak. This was better, anyways. He could just focus on this, on not getting hit and on attempting to smack her down, and push everything else back to the corner of his mind to deal with later. Ya. That was how a real man dealt with things. He took the jab from her weapon, pulling himself back so as not to take as much damage to his Fear shield, and than darted forward with a two handed, down ward swing. HP: 20 Damage: 5 Charge: 3/3

Her frown grew just a little, by the sheer silentlessness of their duel. she wasn't much of a chatter, and not even much of a fighter, but it felt...so impersonal.
So robotic.
She made a sound as her swing went wide, barely even grazing him. She had been doing well before, why should it change now?

Finn knew not to be lulled into any kind of sense of security when Noemi mostly flubbed an attack, because there was a good chance that the moment that happened, she would kick his a** so hard he wouldn't have to imagine what it might be like to be on the receiving end of.... Ahem. Nevermind. Taking the opportunity that was presented, Finn went in hard with a swift attack, jabbing forward, and swinging upwards. Noemi squeaked loudly as Finn got her.
he got her good. She stumbled back as his weapon unbalanced her, rolling a bit. She clutched her trident close to her chest and waited.
"Now." She mumbled to herself as Melusine glowed. her charge emitting like soft waves. The blue washed over Noemi before disappearing and she sighed in relief.
"okay. We're ready again."

Finn took a step back as she began to do something with her weapon, not knowing what to expect. His own lance was raised, the runes on it growing a vivid magenta that almost seemed to pulse. Trynt had informed him some time ago that he was charged, but Finn had yet to do anything about it, not sure if it was really necessary. But Noemi was doing something, and it looked.....oddly similar to what Trynt could do, actually. Alright than. He thought to both himself and his weapon, just a moment before the charge was released. A pink glow swept over Finn, leaving him feeling revitalized. "We are too, darling." He smirked, getting himself into position once more. HP: 19 + 19 = 38 Damage: n/a Charge: 0/3

Her eyes widened as she watched Finn's weapon mirror her own, and then smiled. Finn was a true moon, good at healing too?
She moved quickly, using the ground to propel herself forward and catch Finn by surprise.
or well, it shouldn't be surprising that for a small girl, she did move fast.

Move fast she did, and Finn did his best to block the oncoming attack though it managed to slide by, jabbing him in the torso. With a grunt, he pulled back, spun, and swung low again, hoping to knock her off of her feet with a sweeping blow. HP: 32 Damage: 10 Charge: 1/3

Noemi's fastness only happened for when she was coming for the attack...
Well getting away should've been easier but Finn managed to hook and trip her up, having her fall right on to her back where she made a soft painful groan.
"o..ow..." She murmured, not moving in order to gain the air back into her lungs.

Noemi took the next blow like anyone would take a blow while down.
She whimpered, but rolled herself over and pushed herself up. She was more scared that he might do something seriously more damaging, just by the look in his eye.
Her flight or fight instinct kicked in, and she swung her weapon hard at him, this time not caring where it fell, as long as it hit.

Now it was Finn's turn to fall on the ground. <********. That had hurt, a lot. The impact against the ground was almost as hard on him as the hit itself, but he managed to tuck his arms and weapon in and roll, pushing himself to his feet with some amount of haste as he came to a stop. He was dizzy, but he still managed to lash out at her anyways, while standing very unsteadily on his feet. HP: 19 Damage: 5 Charge: 3/3

There was a small satisfaction in watching him fall, but unlike her, Finn was used to sparring and battles, and he wasn't timid about fighting. He was up faster then she would've been.
But she didn't let him get farther away from her, rushing him and pinning him with her trident, so he was in close combat zone with her. Hoping that he couldn't use his weapon with her there.
