Castor was there, powered as he normally was. As he always was.

"There is always our temporary trump card." He said, arms crossed, eyes focused on a thin ribbon in his hand.
"Chaos has consumed most of Earth at this point. There are indeed few ways to beat that, especially in the long run given the regeneration cycles. However-" He took a deep breath.
"It is possible that we might be able to purify Earth, or at minimum, remove those of great power from furthering for a good long while."

His wings shifted behind him, feathers visibly ruffled while he scowled at the fact he knew they would never want to kill. Weakness. They were weak in the face of their own extinction, of the genocide they were now the victims of.

"The route to attempt to purify depends on how many are willing to die how many are willing to risk their own starseed, how willing are we to die and risk the next generation simply living our nightmare again. Or worse-" the ribbon was tucked away, "-That while we wait for the next rebirth cycle Chaos consumes what we left behind. No matter what we do we will die. There is no 'ifs' or 'maybes'. We will die. If we die running, fighting, risking, or even purifying, we will die. This battle is lost. Make no mistake. This War is one that won't end in our lives. It ends when the cauldron itself ends. Earth was a battlefield and we have lost."

He folded his wings in front of him. "The best other option.. is that we leave." He doubted they would want that as well, their attachments holding them to this rock in space. "We leave earth- possibly forever."

If there was one thing more glitteringly garish than a Cosmos knight entering a room, it was two Cosmos knights entering a room. Dionysia, followed by Hvergelmir, slid into the room. They made their way near the back and listened quietly for a while.

"Our fight's in the city if we want the people to rise with us," Dionysia put in. "Sure, we may know the camp better than they do, but the terrain's simple, and doesn't give us much advantage. People won't rise up until they see us bleed for them. That begs the question of how to get so many people into the city, though, if we go that way. Otherwise we'll be staging our final battle at the security checkpoint."

Fai frowned, especially at Castor. Sacrificing starseeds sounded no better then chaos, and there was no way to completely purify chaos was there? And Castors thoughts were right.

"Killing doesn't solve anything." Fai stared at him, her hand still resting on her stomach, to where the child she had with Magiore laid, a child created from both negaverse and white moon court, "And it will never solve anything. Do you have another plan prince, where you don't decimate people? Families?" She cocked her head, "hurt living people?"

"We aren't the only ones tired of war, all sides are expriencing it. The matter is finding a way to survive with all parties against one cause. I am not-" She breathed out, "saying rally and bring citizens in, but you have to find a middle ground and go from there." She lifted her chin, "It is the same war repeating over and over again, and the results are always the same. One side versus another. What if sides came together? if you found negaversers who would fight their way out? Or the Dark Mirror Court? Who is not only of Chaos but has been a bigger asset in this war?"

Scylla prowled the outside edges of the event, listening impatiently to one idea that felt old and tired after another. They had wanted her to come to this? She had broken her vow not to henshin again- for this? No one could agree on anything. There were extremists, there were pacifists. There were princes and princesses, but there was no Queen. There was no one unifying them anymore. It was like the United Nations with no one counting the votes.

Uncomfortably she shifted, choosing to tune out the words and instead look around at the people and see who she knew. Civilians- she knew a few. Senshi- well, it had been so long since she had chosen to henshin that she hardly knew any of them at all. They all meant well. They were all intending to try and bring about a solution. Even Castor. Maybe she was giving up her hope too soon. If she left now, she risked losing out on seeing something really change.

"Guerrilla tactics and suicide senshi are all well and good," Scylla said dryly, sarcastically, "And leaving the planet will save us for a little while, Castor- you should remember better than most of us just how well Chaos traveled. Like a plague, it spread." She shook her head, still trying to stick to the shadows. "There are ways to get senshi whose civilian identities aren't compromised into the city. And maybe some people who are. If that's a route you choose to take, I can help."

Her question still remained. "Now admittedly it has been a while since I've been involved in a meeting, so forgive my ignorance, but- What I want to know is: If we can't even agree on a method after all these years, how is it going to be determined and agreed on who should group together, and who coordinates the groups? I don't care if the groups are made of civilians, knights, 'willing' Negaversers, or the X-Men; Eventually a chessboard of nothing but rooks, bishops and knights will run into a problem." She tried to keep her tone from being falsely belligerent, tried to display her genuine concern.

She had risked her neck to be here tonight. It needed to pay off.

Azzo had heard of the meeting and after a long debate finally came to the meeting as Niflhel. He paused at length before moving over beside Hvergelmir. He stood arms crossed, snowball on his shoulder watching and listening as the Saturn knight always had. Though he seemed tired and worried as he listened to the calls for a rise and blood.

Niflhel's eyes narrowed when others proposed to run and even still he shook his head. "Do we still fight for Justice?" He asked suddenly, surprising even the cat on his shoulder who looked at him as if he was crazy.

"I am willing to walk that valley of death. But, I want to know, need to know for my own sake, if those around me still believe in justice and not in death unless necessary." He was ready for any backlash that may cause, but Niflhel was stern and stood there waiting for any sort of response.

Snowball sat on the shoulders of the knight even as he spoke as if he was crazy. "Niflhel. . . please tell me you know what you're doing. I'm not sure Justice is the way to think anymore." The cat almost whispered. Looking around at those standing there and talking about the problem at hand. They were small in numbers, perhaps even smaller than the cat had first thought. "Hver, can you talk any sense to him?" He looked towards the cosmos knight.

Of course Snowball's fur was starting to turn white again finally the black dye growing out but it left him looking an odd greyish shade and almost appeared as if he was molting like a bird.

Hugbell had managed to get her mother to safety and flee from her own home. Ending here the Princess of Comfort was unsure where Arcadia had fled too or where at the time present Quail was. She was a fairly pastel bright in the night, and quiet to boot. Her mind was elsewhere but she still caught some of what was being said. There was no comfort without hope, and there seemed to be little comfort or hope here.

She was eighteen by now and had used her princess form very little. She held Barnaby in her arms and stood there, not caring how childish she looked.

Sabina had to admit that she was extraordinarily nervous about being in the well-known camp. She had heard of it and donated things for it but never once had she visited. It was a bit overwhelming to see so many individuals. While she did assist in all efforts she could, other than fighting, she did not get a chance to meet everyone on the side of Order. She had chosen to not power up. After all, probably only Camelot would recognize her as Seireitei. Everyone else she had met was in or near the city as a civilian.

The first person she recognized was a welcome and familiar sight. Fai was finally starting to show. Sabina knew there was a little one growing in there but she chose not to draw attention to the woman she considered a friend. “Fai, it's good to see you. I hope you're well.” She hugged her tightly and briefly.

Sabina looked towards those addressing the group as a whole. She had her own opinions on the matter at hand but she wanted to hear what the others thought. There were more well-known people here than her. Those were the ones that everyone would most likely listen to. She did see Camelot and waved with a smile. He seemed serious as usual. She could only hope that whatever they chose to do made a difference. One day, she would like to see a genuine smile on his face, one where worry did not shadow the smile. That went for everyone else too.

After many spoke, she felt it was her time to do so. “I will fight in whatever manner is chosen. I do believe that we will need to arm up and fight back in a unified front. Right now, Chaos has the upper hand because they have us on the run and scattered. We are stronger together than apart. War is war and I'm sorry to say lives will be lost, it's inevitable at this point. I've been living in the city and I've seen what they do, you've likely all seen what they can do.” All one had to do was look at those that bore scars that could never be erased with time, physical ones that affected their way of life. She would never forget Laney or how she felt when they met. “Though Failyn is right, there are some within the Negaverse that we could purify, that could come to our side. War is also about being strategic. So we should think strategy while discussing our next step.”

Nærøyfjord was late getting back, but it couldn't really be helped- the regular duties of the day didn't stop because a meeting was being held. The enemy would probably be rather pleased to catch any such large gathering sedentary and just talking, not really patrolling, moving, or any other general state of active paranoia. He hadn't had time yet to power down even, but it didn't look like that was a problem- there were others present in uniform. It was heartening to see Hvergelmir and Ida there, and in splendor clad. He would have preferred to go and stand near them, but jostling around near seats and who stood was probably frowned on if you came late. He didn't want to accidentally knock anyone around, either.

It sounded like there were people being on either side of the matter of how violently they were going to resist at least. And whether or not they were going to? Or if they were all moving? And whether the move was to space, or ....no one had suggested the base camp specifically move yet he didn't think? Maybe? He wasn't sure. He'd missed the front end so maybe someone had. Was he allowed to give his opinion? There were royals present, which made that seem like offering everyone popcorn to tide them over instead of steak.

Food wasn't words, that was a terrible simile or metaphor or whatever poetry thingy it was that Hvergelmir liked in the poetry books everyone brought her. The ones that made her happy. He was tired.

"Hallo...Maybe since people still have different opinions, but there are many great Princesses, Princes and Royal Knights we could list the options we are looking at and each of the great lords and ladies can take charge of one of the actions? Like Ida can lead those who will not fight and those who cannot in a retreat that seems fit...maybe they can go tonight even with the help of Princess Chariklo? And another example is that Camelot or Castor can lead the Mainstay against the city. And Another can lead the Guard in covering the retreat or ...since the rumor is that the main base location is know, maybe The Guard stays with the empty tents and tries to draw the fire and pretend like we are all still here. " He looked longest at Camelot in naming the great knight. The man was also of Earth. Like Nærøyfjord, he had no real retreat should the rest decide to go to space. His grey-blue eyes lit on Shallott as well. There is no good ending, for Earth it is the soonest. But we can help the others still, can we not, great lord and lady?

"If we still have disagreement, maybe we can use this as a way to organization?"

There was always the feeling of guilt that came with having served Chaos so long, only to turn to Order once the Negaverse's true colors were shown. Hawara, Uranus Knight, once known as Bismuthite, was there, silent.

He had...no problem with killing those who he'd once fought along side, and beating the power-hungry neophytes until they 'saw the light.' In the long run though, he'd given up on this life time. Now it was all just a means to a, hopefully, better end. Now it seemed things were ramping up to the final coup de grâce.

Hawara reached for the hand of the Saturn Knight once known as Wolframite.

"We must be united in whatever decisions we make. Even the slightest splinter, or decent in opinion, and there will be nothing but failure ahead. No arguments. Put aside weak emotions for the sake of the greater good, and the future. This is bigger than yourself. It always has been."

It was a plea, a necessary reminder for all to hear. Too much ground had been given up because of the weakness and emotionalism of others. It was....selfish. Too much had been lost because of the selfishness of others.

Camelot had been listening quietly, and his attention was drawn when Nærøyfjord mentioned him. He nodded his head, finally stepping forward and looking around at the gathered numbers.

"We are at the disadvantage here, but we always have been. We are used to it, by now, and now is the time to overcome those odds if ever there was one. But many of the voices I have heard so far are right, in that we must be united if this is to be our stand. And why shouldn't it be?

For too long now we've been forced to hide and cower while the Negaverse runs our city, our home. While they bear down on our planet. While I understand that many are tied to other planets, this is about more than where we are able to live, and how we are able to live there. Running and hiding is a viable option for some, and if you do not feel like you can face another war, another battle, then I don't think any of us would hold it against you if you did escape to space, and hope it remain safe there. But Chaos has broken through to every safe haven we have had, some how or another, and the longer we allow them to be this powerful, the more chance of them spreading their reach again.

For my part, I will do what I can to fight back against the Negaverse now, and protect the home I have always known. As a Knight of Earth, this is the only option I have."

He took a breath, pulling his thoughts together.

"Organization has always been our downfall. Perhaps not downfall, but certainly not our strongest point. There are many of us who are strong and independent, and that is how we have always operated. But now is the time for us to come together. You," he looked at Nærøyfjord, not familiar with him by name, but nodding his head respectfully. "bring up good points. By focusing our strongest and drawing lines, we may be able to hold our own if we are to launch a fight against the Negaverse, and show them we're done hiding. Or defend this place, where so much of what we love is gathered. We cannot let them take any more of our loved ones, what few things many of us have left to cherish. This is a battle for not just our lives, but our ability to live like human beings.

I have always been against the use of brute force and unnecessary measures. And I stand against barbarism still. This is not a time to degrade ourselves, and we are not meant to use the same tactics as the Negaverse itself. If there are opportunities to purify someone, if there are those within the Negaverse that want to help us, then we must embrace them and accept their aid. Blanket hatred and fear is not going to serve anyone anymore.

So, I agree with the idea to take the fight to them, and to finally push back against their holds. As for how we are meant to do that, that is something that needs attention and planning, and those of us willing to step forward and be a part of this fight should then organize ourselves into units, as suggested. We need to understand ourselves, our numbers and our strengths, before we can hope to win back our home. The point was made that this is bigger than each of us alone, and that cannot be more true. We need to be one: the White Moon. Order."

The idea that civilians and those inside the city would rise up as well had not been lost on him, either. He heard it and he had to take a moment to consider that. For now, it seemed inevitable, and the more help they could get, the better. Maybe seeing them making a stand would encourage those living inside the city to power up and join the fight, as well.

"At this point, I am willing to discuss strategy and to help in the battle front in any way that I can. I will always help those that want to purify. My role in all this, I believe, is set, and it is to serve the White Moon and those that need me. It always has been. As a knight, I will protect those that need protecting. I cannot think of anything that needs our help more than the planet itself. Than our city. Those people inside the Negaverse's control. And each other. I will fight for every one of you, whether you agree with this choice or not. Whether you're ready to fight back and stand with me, or if you must make another choice that is right for you. You all deserve more than what we have now, and if through my life I can make it possible, if I can start a change, then my life is yours. I am, and always will be, your knight."

Looking a little weary, Camelot bowed his head. He had drawn his line, and he could only wait to see where the others fell. He would respect the decisions of each, of course, and understood the desire to leave, to find some place safe from Chaos. He did not believe, as had been said, that Chaos would not find a way to follow them. It was clear that Chaos was determine to destroy them completely. But some of the other voices had said it better than he had already. They needed to be united, and those that did choose to fight had to do so willingly.

This was the last stand. Their big push. Camelot had felt like it had coming for a while now, and was almost relieved to see it now. Perhaps under better circumstances it would be easier, not under threat of their home base being found, but they had no control over that. They could only control how they responded, and that was where they would be truly tested. Camelot had watched so many of them grow up over the years, and the bonds he shared were meaningful. They made him stronger, knowing that they had all come so far, knowing as he did how powerful and determined they each could be. He had faith in the senshi and knights around him, and, for the first time, knew that it was no longer his job to protect them, to baby them, as he knew he was wont to do. They would stand together, as equals, and fight back with all they had. Through that unity they could win back the day.

And he would be honored to stand with them.

Shalott wasn't too familiar with Castor and when he spoke her heart gave a wild thump in her chest. That couldn't be the way, the only way. If she had to die knowing she was doing some good then so be it but to try to purify the city? The Earth was her home. She couldn't leave it. She was a Royal Knight of Earth. If she left where would she go? What home was left?

"No!" She didn't mean for that to be so loud and quieted, wincing. "That can't be the only choice. If I have to die to make a better world for my daughter then so be it. I don't mind because it's my choice and I'm making it because I want to try to leave a better world behind. The Earth is my home and I am its knight. I have to protect it."

She looked around the room at weary and drawn faces too serious by necessity. Healthy paranoia was a way of life here and quite possibly the only way most of them survived. She knew she had good reasons to make her choices and that none of the choices she made came without consequence.

"All of us need to think long and hard about what we have to lose and how far we're willing to go to fight for what we believe in. I'm willing to kill for my beliefs and I'm willing to die for them. I don't expect everyone to share those convictions. Some of you have children younger than my Sarah. Some of you have carved a life out of the ashes of the city. No one will blame you for thinking of what there is to lose. But if you're with us we need that choice to be absolute no matter the cost."

Shalott politely let others express their opinions, listening well to everything they said. She nodded at Nærøyfjord's suggestion, finding merit in them, and last she listened to her husband when he spoke passionately, as always, but their differences in philosophy were certainly showing themselves plainly. She loved his peaceful heart and loved him more than she could ever express but she could not stay passively by anymore.

"Camelot, I have to disagree with you. This is the time to take stronger measures. We have been pushed to the brink; there are no choices left. The Negaverse murders without remorse. How much do we have to lose before you'll see that they won't change? We can't talk to them anymore. They won't just wake up and decide to live in peace. If some of them want to purify or mean to aid us then I will happily accept that but most of them won't and that's something we need to make peace with."

There was a little bit of the personal in her comments, referencing their son's corruption and their daughter's murder. She'd lost dearly to the Negaverse and wanted her remaining child to grow up in a world where she could have a peaceful life without Negaverse interference. There was too much pain life could bring already for Kyndall to want to leave her a place that was twisted by corruption.

She sighed, addressing Nærøyfjord's ideas.

"Our best bet is to pair those that are willing to fight and kill with those that aren't. Some of us are better with support roles and we'll need that protection for those that are offensive. My power, for example, can bind agents in place for a short time giving others a chance to accomplish their goals or to get away if the fight turns overwhelming. We have to agree on a plan and work together. We don't stand a chance at all if we don't do that."

The Royal Knight nodded toward Hawara when she spoke last, in agreement.

Lyonesse grit his teeth. He rarely showed up at these meetings in anything less than his full powered form, since Samael was so much less comfortable than Lyonesse; all his memories lived on his powered side. He felt bad for adding to the strain on the cats, but some things had to be done.

He was there with Fang - because leaving Fang was not an option - and while one hand curled aorund his staff, the other held Fang's. He was unwilling to let go - it was an emotional and physical anchor, just as reassuring as his Knight form. It also helped steel his courage to speak, when sometimes he felt like he ought not to, as a rather recently-turned officer.

"I didn't leave the Negaverse so I could ******** off to my Wonder and abandon the people of my planet," he said, addressing the group at large. "And I didn't leave because I thought I was going to get brownie points out of the endeavor. I'm here to fight, and I'll die fighting before I lay down and let the Negaverse have another inch of ground."

That didn't mean he expected to win, but that wasn't the sort of thing one said out loud, when one was trying to drum up support for a conflict action.

He knew the Negaverse, knew their numbers, knew their ruthlessness. His pronouncement that he would die fighting was not posturing or bravado, it was flat truth.

"I will rage against the dying of the light with everything I have. Those of you who can't handle another battle? Go, and I hope your planets and Wonders are safe for a while longer. But the Negaverse's reach is long and its ambition is the universe, no more, no less. They won once. Don't let them win again."

Mimisbrunnr was silent. She was fairly certain that her place in the war was well-known - her choice would always be battle, rage, revenge. Ever since she'd seen twenty high schoolers slaughtered for no more reason than their teacher could not be corrupted, she had been determined that the Negaverse would pay tenfold for each life taken.

Once, she might have begged for peace. Once, she had nearly sworn to never take a life.

No more.

From Camelot to Shalott to Lyonesse, Faust listened to a variety of stances all sporting the same conviction - that they were all three willing to give their lives to this endeavor, even if it stemmed from different reasoning. Some, like Lyonesse, wanted revenge. Others, like Camelot, wanted to capitalize on the White Moon's good nature to the end. And some still, like Naerofjord, wanted everyone to bond in cohesion in a last stand.

Were Faust not covering signatures, he would've given the lot of them a high five. As it stands, kittypaws lacked the oomph for such a feat.

"Aww yeah, we're gettin' some inspirational speakin' all up in dis b***h!" Faust exclaimed emphatically, before reclaiming himself. "So we got two points we can all agree on, right? Pretty sure everyone from Quenton to uh, uh... You with the hair and the Earth symbols has said that we all gotta get organized. And we can all agree that we got different motivations for this s**t. In any case, the earth and our lives as senshi and knights factor into those decisions. War's tricky s**t like that. And it sounds like none o' the people who plan to stand to the death out here are gonna hold it against the ones that got reasons to avoid a battle.

"So, correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like we got a whole lotta troops here willin' to give this their all.

"Quenton and this lady with the nice hands pointed out guerilla tactics. I dunno if all of y'all know 'bout that s**t but I'm pretty damn sure we could pull that off. We can take those tactics wherever we decide to take our fights. So y'all wanna cast a vote on where that fight's gonna be? Here, on our turf, in our rules, or out there in the city where they been ********' around for the past five years?
"

A curious smell stemming from Quenton's shoulder strap caught Faust's attention, and for the moment, he decided to abandon his post on the table to climb the shoulders he knew so well from many a journey. And once he reached the top, he recognized the smell immediately.

Fresh catnip.

Nærøyfjord had directly followed and expanded upon her logic, and Scylla inclined her head to the man in gratitude for his acknowledgement of her concerns. It seemed that others were leaping to get in their own concerns as well, and she listened to each of them, intrigued.

She completely agreed with the knight (Hawara, she may one day have the chance to learn), that their only chance was in unity. While that fact should be obvious to everyone by now, she had learned over the years that not everyone saw things the way she did. Sometimes a blessing, sometimes a curse.

"I agree it is required that we have one order. A white Moon Court." she agreed. Her head dipped to Camelot, and positively beamed at Shalott. "We won't be able to abandon this allies, and our Earth-bound allies and families for a short, uncertain existence on our planets. All of our royals, not just Castor, who I so rudely called out earlier, should remember the spread of Chaos in the past, and this time there is no way to believe this isn't the end.

She shook her head. "Most of the Negaverse probably believes me dead. I am not afraid to kill, and while I would rather not die, there is one thing that scares me more. Dying a coward, being forgotten for my unwillingness to make a stand."

Scylla stepped out of the shadows at last, bolstered by the voices of those who were willing to fight, who were willing to risk their lives and protect their family. She supposed her next question would need to be where they wanted her. That could come, however, after there was a little more detail to leadership than 'willing to kill', 'royals', or 'great lords and ladies'.

"Magic power doesn't make a war leader." She nodded to those if higher rank than herself in turn. "Nothing to say none of you are good leaders, I hardly can judge. But we need to be a united court under a general, not under fractured kings and queens. Even if we split into groups, they need to be working under a united front, with clear cut goals."

I got lazy tagging on my phone. Sorry anyone I forgot.

Paris did not disagree with much of what was said. There were valid points coming from all directions, legitimate concerns, but some of it carried the same negative vein that had always existed whenever Order came together, one she was guilty of following herself. With the inspirational speeches came the critique that may well be deserved in many cases, but which she continued to view as unfair.

Disorganization. Lack of leadership. It was the same complaints they always had, the same overdone observations, and usually (but not always) from those that had something to gain from the undertaking, those whose rank would have earned them positions of authority in other factions.

So there was no hierarchy like the one that existed in the Negaverse. So they did not all revere their royal allies the way the Dark Mirror Court looked to theirs for guidance. So what? Had they not proven over the years that they were willing and capable of working together when the time called for it? Perhaps they'd been backed into a corner, and many of them had lost a great deal, but they'd also accomplished more than anyone might have expected, and certainly more than the Negaverse felt comfortable allowing to exist.

They were here, together, discussing their options in a (mostly) rational manner. They'd remained hidden for years, had built havens of peace and safety in a world so riddled with darkness, death, and destruction it hardly seemed like the world they'd been born to. They were surviving, they were still a threat, and though this war may not end in victory for them, at least they could go to their deaths with pride—that they had not become the scared, weak, and fractured people the Negaverse surely intended for them to be.

They were not broken.

Beneath the table Paris gripped Chris's hand. She shared a brief look with him, tried to convey her remorse, a silent apology, as she rose from her chair in the hopes of gaining as much attention as she could.

She did not speak against anyone, not to agree, or disagree, or argue a point that had been exhausted long ago. She did no look at anyone in particular, but focused inward, grasping onto that link between herself and Ganymede that laid mostly dormant when unpowered—her source of strength and courage.

If we're going to split into groups and use different methods to launch an attack, we should each focus on different parts of their structure. I'm going for the root of everything,” she announced. “Metallia. They want me alive, and they can have me. I know they'll take me to her.

It was not arrogance or boastfulness. She had no delusions as to her own worth to the war effort. She knew her strengths, her faults, her weaknesses. She'd had years to learn them, and just as long to overcome them. She knew her place.

There was a price on her head, and she would pay it.

In the back of the room, Hvergelmir had been quietly signing to Dionysia, who in turn had been making comments back and forth. While the older Cosmos knight had no difficulty speaking up at events like this, Hvergelmir found herself almost entirely unable to contribute. With a few friends there who could read sign, it was possible to get someone to translate -- but it did tend to make that more of a decision as far as what was well enough worth saying to go to all that hassle.

At Snowball's urging, she'd written a note to Azzo on her dry erase board and passed it over. Hurried as she was, she'd written the first thing that had come to mind -- in this case, simply the words:

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.

Meanwhile, she was listening to the words passing over their heads, trying to convey her thoughts to Dionysia. She remembered vividly being on a Mainstay outing with a group of their Mars knights recently, and how badly that had gone. The thought she'd had at the time occured to her again now: We never should've stopped. We should've kept moving hell-for-leather no matter what. Once we're surrounded, it's too late.

The Negaverse was full of people who could teleport, who could open up holes in the world and let youma crawl through. There was no digging in and making a stand when the enemy could outflank you with a thought. Once Order found themselves pinned in place, the Negaverse could pick them off at their leisure, with minimal casualties.

Dionysia smiled his understanding and raised his voice to be heard by the group again. "Discussion isn't the end of us. Without knowing what people can and will contribute, we can't account for them properly. If there are people here with qualms about what we're doing, you'll be glad to have heard that now, rather than later. This is fine -- we have all night to plan our deaths. We'll get there."

He thumbed over his shoulder at Hvergelmir. "My esteemed colleague requests we take stock of our forces and divide up to choose leadership from there. Those of you who want to retreat to space, or who aren't willing to fight, I imagine you'll have to be in charge of the evacuation of children and the invalided -- I don't think we can afford to spare anyone able-bodied and willing to fight to you. If everyone wouldn't mind, could those who aren't fighting move over to the side of the room by the window? And those who intend to fight, come over to the side of the room by the city map?"
