Running his hand over the banner in front of him one last time, Rojo silently declares his booth open, folding his hands in front of him and waiting for his first guests.

If the booth itself wasn't eye-catching, the boil manning certainly was. Ruth felt herself tense at the vibrant markings that changed in patterns and shapes whenever she looked away and back again. It wasn't the ever-shifting forms that bothered her (on the contrary it was fascinating for the ghoul) but it was how colorful they were. Inwardly she was frowning in distaste but she had a morbid fascination with the multitude of hues and could not keep her eyes off him for long.
She found herself approaching despite herself, shyly shuffling up to study the pins and candies and shudder confetti laid out on his table. She raised a hand as if asking for permission, or maybe she had a question for him.

Rojo wasn't used to silence, but he had met many sorts of beings at school already, and he was aware that there were some who preferred it. Even so, he never would have imagined there were those who didn't speak at all.
"Hello!" he said, waiting a moment for a reply. When all he received was a raised hand, he asked, "Yes? You may take anything that you like! I am Rojo and I hope to bring you Big Treats, Big Celebrations, and Big Scares twentyfourteen."

Behind those blonde bangs, Ruth's brows were knitting in dismay. On the one hand, the idea of celebrations was marvelous, it brought out all the interesting creeple into the open. On the other hand, it involved lots of colors and flashy displays and Ruth could only take so much of that. She shook her head at the boil and drew a question mark in the air. Actually she drew it twice, making sure to exaggerate the shape and size the second time around.
Ruth couldn't help it, even if the Shrinking Violet was satisfied with the platform and answer (and Ruth herself rather liked some of the offered freebies), she wanted to know the reason behind all of, well, this.

Llyr had thought it a good idea to visit the other booths as well, so here he was, wandering around from each one to each one and stopping to see what was happening and who was running it. This particular booth seemed rather pleasant, and Llyr slowed his steps as he drew nearer, peering at it curiously.
"Hello," he said brightly to the boil behind it - a most interesting looking person who seemed to be made entirely of bones. "I am Llyr! I am running for President!"

He was very confused. Why wasn't she speaking? The skeleton stared at Ruth quietly, watching her fingers paint her own confusion between them. Why? Why was he running? Why did this position exist? Why was he such an excellent banjo player? What had Papi Martin told him? Always be closing.
Closing what?
Yourself.
Or at least that's how Rojo had interpreted it. He sat up straight, preparing to sell his virtues like a good little politician.
"I understand that sometimes bad things happen at Amityville and I am here to help bring happiness!" he finally said. "Proms and dances and three-legged races!" He clapped. "I am not limited to bright things either. I can be scary!" He'd scared that living maggot sundae, hadn't he? And anyone who drank his tea would probably lose their minds.
With the arrival of Llyr, Rojo leaned forward a bit more, spreading his formerly clapping hands on the table. "Hello, Llyr! It is nice to meet you. You have very lovely hair! I cannot grow any myself, but my friend here has some you can admire at your earliest convenience!"

The boil can be scary? Well, he ought to be, and this seemed to properly comfort Ruth. Her hands came together in a soft clap, as if pleased with the spiel, which she was. She gave a silent sigh of relief, her shoulders going slack as the corners of her lips curved up in a small smile. The reaper was about to attempt a follow up question involving what sort of bad things had the skeletal boil had experienced, or maybe it was about the banjo, when a familiar student joined them.
!!!!!! pretty much summed up Ruth's reaction to Llyr. She also immediately clasped her hands to her sides and tried to look inconspicuous.xSmerdle No charades for you~ for now xkuroopu hallo thar~ Ruth can excuse herself if you need her to smile

Llyr seemed to glow with the compliment. "Thank you, I do like it very much," he said, in reference to his hair, which he now gathered together in his long fingers and gently tucked over one shoulder. A few flower petals drifted from the wreath on his head and fluttered to the floor. "You are quite interesting, I very much enjoy your booth!"
He turned his head and saw the same gray ghoul he'd encountered in the gym upon occasion, Llyr gibing her a bright smile.
"Good afternoon," he said pleasantly. "Are you here to meet the other council candidates too?" His gaze shifted to the boil again. "I was not sure if I should run, of course, but I gave it some thought and believed it to be the right course of action. I do think I could do some more things with everyone!"
He beamed at the pair of them. "You are both very welcome to stop by my booth as well, if you'd like!"

Shiki headed to the strange booth. He stared at the sign not quite getting the joke either, it was strange that he crossed out one letter but he just didn't understand. Sighing he walked around the sign wondering if there was a explanation but it seemed the boil running the booth didn't really get the point either. It was a bone joke or something?
Shiki decided to just give the game a go instead of pondering much longer.
Ohh they were giving him a prize, or rather two it seemed, since he hadn't won the big one or something.
Shiki giggled and took his new foxfire friends. "Thank you!"

Clapping, smiles, and being told he was interesting. It was all a boil could ask for. Rojo watched Llyr's petals fall, reminded of the flowers that decorated everything back home. He had wanted to have more of them here today, but they wouldn't have survived the hastily planned trip.
"Everyone should run, if they feel they can help!" the calaca replied, offering his hand to shake. "I will be certain to visit you later!" Maybe he could even get some flowers of his own.
After taking a brief moment to school Shiki in banjoing, Rojo sat back and admired his small crowd with a grin.

Slight rule change that might not be very clear so I'm babbling about it here so I can point to it later. (i'm not talking about you specifically steal it was just something i realized while giving you your prize <3)
In addition to only being able to win each SE once, you can only win each type of prize once. So, if you've already selected two pets from the foxfire or doubles boxes, you can't do so again for the rest of the event. Same goes for inkjars/paintbrushes/ships/shrooms.i imagined someone rolling three tier 2 wins in one day and the boxes being empty for everyone else and i cry errytim

Uh, well it was nice to be taught something, Shiki was rather certain he was never going to be good with the banjo, there was just something about it that seemed to, for lack of better term, hate him.
It was a unique feeling to think an inanimate object hated you, but still, that was how it seemed. Still Rojo was trying to help, and it was only right to show his gratitude. "Thank you... I.. will try harder."

Ruth gave Llyr a wordless nod and raised two of her fingers. Whether it was a sign of victory, or that she would visit Llyr's booth in two minutes, or some other possible interpretation of the symbol, she did not say. She did, however, give the banjo playing her attention as well as applaud. The small smile back on her lips, she pointed at the instrument, then at Rojo, then at Llyr and drew a question mark in the air.

"Yes!" said Llyr brightly. "Yes, I quite agree! I think any who feel as though they could help, or that wish to help, should run for office! It is important to us as students to be able to do things for ourselves, is it not? Being unified is quite important!"
He gave a sage nod to both Rojo and Ruth and then, almost as though he had forgotten, Llyr reached into his robes and pulled out something flowery, placing it in his palms and extending it towards the boil in question.
"For you!" said Llyr brightly. "I am giving one to all the people who are campaigning! It is for luck, see!"
Ruth's question mark made him tilt his head, Llyr utterly not understanding what she was trying to say. He gave a questioning look towards Rojo as though the other might possibly be able to translate this most mysterious gesture.
