Hollandaise stared unblinkingly at the laughing jabberwock for long moments before turning to the bins. She plucked pieces out at random - a lever here, a small, non-functioning fm radio there. With precise fingers, she fitting it all together. As to what it did... well....

Somehow, the booth ghoul had stopped laughing, and Hollandaise breathed a soft sigh of relief, If she'd kept on, she would've eventually passed out, possibly falling to the floor. What if she'd caught her head on the edge of the counter? What if she bled everywhere? What if she had expired... ah yes, cause of death: laughing. With fingers made clumsy by daydreams, Hollandaise dropped her invention on the counter... And watched it give a small clank in protest and proceed to fall dramatically apart. Oh. Oh this booth looked neat. He hadn't seen it here before and so curiousity made him go into it and see what was going on. Shiki padded slowly to the table, keeping his head down. It seemed to him like he should be trying to make something. There were tools and parts of metal and such. The kitsune shrugged a little and started fitting parts together.
A time later he had something strange sitting on the table. It looked like some kind of bobbing bird like thing that just turned pages.. or something close to that at least.
Oh it worked well and it seemed that the one at the booth liked it.

Another new booth popped out of the woodwork of the carnival so the young Incubus was instantly curious as to what kind of game it held. Nova soon found himself seated at a table tinkering with the parts... he nibbled his bottom lip, if he did this... then that... hmm, maybe...He grabbed a old tin cup, the plastic fan blade to a hand-fan, the parts to a spray bottle and several wires, springs, small parts and set to work.

Once it's ready Nova calls the booth owner over.
"It's a cup you can stir without a spoon." He explains, holding up the metal cup filled with water. In the bottom of the cup a working plastic fan blade has been attached and a thin metal rod can be seen running over to the side of the cup, where a small hole was drilled and plugged with a cap to seal the two parts re-waterproofing the item. The rod seems to be attached to the trigger of a toy water pistol along the bottom of the cup's handle, it looks like one should use their pinky finger to squeeze it. Nova manages to find some food coloring and holds the cup very still, he squeezes the coloring into the water and squeezes the trigger several times, creating a tiny whirlpool in the cup and changing the waters color instantly.
He looks up at the Jabberwock ghoul hopefully.

He'd mostly just wanted some of the sugar cubes taht the machine seemed to be giving out but apparently you had to make things to get anything from the booth.
Ceiliog poked around at the bits and pieces laying around for a bit before shaking his head. He wasn't going to get anywhere with any of it.

Having missed much of the carnival, Maple had no way of knowing that this booth in particular was a rather new booth to the area. Didn't stop her from stepping towards it in any sense. And then immediately being unsure about it. Assembling and creating a new contraption? This was never going to work.
But she was here. And she groaned. And Maple took a few of the items that were presented and attempted to make something. Her hands moved shaky and nervously as she took a few different pieces together in order to make.... something. But those efforts and her insecurities showed true in her design and attempts and it just sort of fell apart on her without even being able to show it off.
Maple looked at it somewhat sadly, that failure and all and just pushed it all away from her and left.

What was this??? After spotting a new booth Judas decides to investigate. He regretted it as he was immediately confused by the booth owner and very vaguely told to do something with a random box of parts.
Well he dug in that box, yes he did, and then tried to put some stuff together in interesting ways. it did not work.

Science! was not quite on Tenniel's side as he plucked through the pile for pieces to put together. He bit down lightly on his lip while cursing that he hadn't thought to tuck his tools into his satchel before leaving his dormitory that morning. It was frustrating, however he was still determined to try.
The end result was a mess that fell apart the moment he tried to shift it.
When at first you don't succeed...

Meixiang had learned a thing or two about putting pieces of things together to make other things from Moira. At this booth she tried her best to put that knowledge to use but alas, her invention just wouldn't stay together.

Ryou was not quite sure what he was doing, but he kind of just took all of the gadgets on the table and tried piecing them together in one big glob of metal and plastic and it turned out looking more like abstract art than an actual invention. However, surprisingly, it did not fall about.

Tanita peered at the booth with the tall Jabberwock girls, and the inventions, curiously. After a moment, she begins to put parts together, figuring it was worth a go, right? After she finished, she gave a great disappointed sigh as the whole blasted thing just fell apart. "I have no skill at this, I suppose... Maybe I'll try again later."

Benji looks at the tall Jabberwock a bit uneasily as she laughs and laughs, then glances away quickly when she gestures to the box of machinery. He decides to try and build his own automatic-breakfast-cooker machine; perhaps one centered around delicious fish. Sadly, he doesn't have the faintest idea what he's doing, so he basically just grabs a bunch of parts that look like they might be useful and sticks them together willy-nilly. When he's done, and turns the machine on, watching it eagerly, it only coughs out a strange blue cloud that reeks of burnt snotcorn, shudders violently, and falls completely apart all over the table and the ground. Burnt-snotcorn-flavored machine parts... not the feline's idea of a proper breakfast. He sighs.

Lusine was new to this whole invention thing, but she was excited about it. She gathered up an old teapot, some large springs, a rusty butterknife, and a battered wooden mixing spoon. She wasn't entirely sure how to put it all together, so she slapped on lots of tape, and even connected the springs with bubblegum that she chewed herself.
When she was done she had a bouncing teapot that brought your both butter and jam for your toast. She was pleased with her invention, if only the butter would stop falling off the knife. . .
