She remained silent for a while considering his adjustment to her offer. Another mare might have flat out refused these changes and went to find a different stallion to use. But Penthesilea was willing to compromise, yet she would not agree to it right away. She needed to take her time, to at least consider how this would affect things, after all this deal affected her future greatly and while she had tossed out the offer easily she wanted to make sure it was perfect on both ends before agreeing to it, especially to Achilles' changes.

"A consort is different than a slave." She began to explain. "You are still among the lowest rank of the herd but are given obvious privileges that the other males are not. I will give you the freedom to leave to see to your career but you must never take a contract against any of the members of the herd. Also while in the presence of the others in the herd you must behave accordingly, as your rank describes." she paused for a moment before continuing. "As for any sons we may have, I will allow you to teach them your ways but they will also be expected to fulfill their role within the herd for as long as they are there. If they so choose to follow the path of their father then so be it, but you will not sway them into making that decision for them. They, like you, must act appropriately for their rank while in the herd, the training you give them will be done outside of the herd grounds and must be kept secret, if it is found out that you are training them to become a warrior then I will revoke this part of our deal and their lives will suffer because of it."
