Fresh off the abysmal failure of the strength test, Adelaide was giddy with everything going on. The knife throwing booth rapidly caught her attention and, most intrigued, the Nightmare approached the booth and listened to the unimpressed instructions.
Plucking the blindfold off the booth front, she tied it deftly around her head and ran her fingers in a ghosting motion until she found the blade. She curled her knuckles to hold the sharp tip between them as she'd seen on the big screen, and with a lift and a, What could possibly go wrong?, she flicked the knife in the general direction of the target.
Peeling the blindfold immediately off of one eye, she stared for a few moments at the blade nestled in the bullseye and then looked to Shun. Grinning, she returned the blindfold. Didn't seem like the guy needed words to appreciate the moment. She gave her thanks to Estel and Lock, every bit as animated as the former.
I won! Prize: Ticket & Minipet (Poe, please and thank you! <3) Minis sn: Chrys

Jove didn't mind letting Mathias hold his hand. After everything that had happened, it was almost a relief to know his friend was right there beside him, and would be right there so long as he held on tight enough. Plus there was a newfound closeness between them, and actions that he would not have tolerated from many friends seemed inoffensive when the wolpertinger was the one doing it. There were many things he tolerated better, and things he did willingly when Mathias was involved. Like the pink bracelet with little flower beads he had worn to the carnival, it was not something he would have selected with only himself in mind... But if it did it's job, he would gladly wear it as long as it was needed. While Mathias kept his gaze low, Jove was busy peering through the crowd with great interest, his fluffy ears turning whenever he heard the sounds of games or coins or laughter. But he showed no interest in approaching the booths until Mathias paused. With a wag of his fluffy, curled up tail, he pushed the wolpertinger to go try his luck.

Lock looked at Shun and then back at Piper.
"Over here," he said, gesturing to the ghoul with a gentle smile. He didn't stop working, lest he face Shun's wrath, but he could talk and work at the same time .....

Hel, of course, had to come bother her bro at the carnival. She was eager to talk to him and see what he was up to, so she all but barreled up to the counter. On the way, she accidentally bumped into someone, Matty, who she quickly mistook for something feminine. "Ah, my bad, ghoulie!" She grinned and then planted her hands on the counter once she was close enough. "Shun!" She called out, grinning wider. "So good to see you, friend! So this is your tent, ya!? Knives, I should have known!" She then peered at the others. "Ah, are those your mentees as well!?" She asked excitedly. She had seen the reaper's name up on the roster, and was oh so curious to hear his experience about it so far.

"There we go~" Piper grinned at him, then froze when she heard Hel's voice. Rather than be happy to see half of the pair of older ghouls she counted as sorta-kinda-maybe mentors, the mage's skin grew a few shades paler.
Without warning, she leapt towards Lock and attempted to get behind both him and the booth to hide. Her hair-tail swung dangerously.
"Hi sup how's it goin' tell me when she's gone," Piper whispered quickly, restraining her hair before it smacked him.

Piper's sudden movement made Lock go full-protector mode. What was it? A bully? Hunters?
Either way, he quickly ushered Piper behind the booth and stood looking menacing (that is to say, not menacing at all) and wondered why the jack Voodoo wasn't summoning to his side. Looking back at Piper, he whispered, "What is it?"
As far as Lock could see, there was nothing of danger. But you could never be too careful.

Marie loved herself a good party, so soon as she heard dere was a carnival come to town, she was a happy gal. She made her way to its grounds just soon as she could and strolled amongst the booths, ignorin’ da occasional dirty look tossed her way; nothin’ was gonna ruin da brightly-dressed reaper-girl’s mood.
A glint of somethin’ shiny caught her eye and Marie found herself drawn to the knife throwin’ booth. Weren’t often she had a ex-cuse to throw knives – though sometimes in a temper she did want to – so she weren’t gonna miss this chance. She gave a smile to the both runners, took da blindfold, took hold of da knife, and then t’rew it in da direction of da target.
whoosh
And she missed; missed 'n was kindly coated in pink glitter. Well now, dat didn't seem like no punishment to her. Marie loved all manner of shiny things, glitter included. And pink, well, dat was a color representing beauty to her kin!
If someone lookin' at Marie thought she was a bit crazy, by Halloween standards dey'd be quite right.

Hating how pitiful she was acting, she wrung her ponytail. "Nuthin'," Piper replied as she leaned against the wall. "Just don't wanna talk to some people." Certain ones might smell the fail on her, which had been clinging to her person since Wonderland.
She gave Lock a curious look. He'd always been a more timid fella, or at least that's the impression she'd gotten. But for a moment Piper swore he looked . . . Nah. That was just heat of the moment crap at the tower. (Which she actually wanted to ask him about later on, she remembered.)
"So, how's it going so far?" she asked more brightly. "Busy n' stuff? What're they making you do back here?"

Lock's face shrunk into a suspicious squint. "That's not funny," he said, almost in a chastising tone.
He sighed and ran his head through his hair, picking up one of the booth's buckets. "It's been pretty busy so far yeah. I'm in charge of refilling the snotcorn buckets and picking up all the discarded knives ..." It was just simple backstage work.
Leaning in a little closer, he said, "Can I at least know who we're avoiding?"

The carnival, huh? Imbere had heard of such things under the water, and decided that maybe, going wouldn't be so bad. It seemed fun, and... even dressing up didn't seem too bad. So she pulled on a little something she bought at a nearby costume place and adorned it with a few of her jewels, and BAM, she was ready. The first thing she saw was a knife throwing place. Seeing as she had never done it before, she thought, why the hell not, and went ahead, throwing one in the direction of the target.
Wow. Her eyes widened considerably, and a small smirk slid onto her face."Beginners luck, perhaps?" She mumbled under her breath, chuckling haughtily to herself as she went to receive her prize. I won! Prize: Ticket + Mini :>!! Minis sn: quite uneventful

Some steps behind the energetic reaper, Hel's more calm and collected familiar soon made an appearance at the tent. Just in time to watch Piper with woah dat hair-- It was immediately attracted to it. Look at all the preening that hot mess needed. Thus it had tried to follow Lock and Piper behind the counter, but couldn't, and instead stood in front of the two reapers. It cocked it's head to the side to stare at them both. It then craned its neck over the counter, over Lock's shoulder, and then started to preen Piper's hair.

"Hey I wasn't tryin' t'be--" Her mouth stayed open. Her eyes were locked on the massive dark bird that had appeared out of the blue by them, and just like on the battlefield and in the midst of the clones ALICE had made, the ghoul found herself incapable of speaking.
It was touching her hair. It was putting its crooked little beak in her hair. She was mortified--pleased because birdssss--but mostly mortified. Her--HER 'DO--
The rest of her answer came through pressed lips. "It's. That. One." Piper indicated with her eyes towards the ghoul speaking to Shun before giving Lock a most pitiful look.
Hel didn't mention she had a sweet a** familiar oh my Jack but please get it off of her please please please. The look she had painstakingly taken an hour and a half to do was falling apart in seconds.

Mathias wasn't so sure the shoving was necessary, but Jove, as always, was fairly good about getting his point across without speaking many words. Stumbling away from his...friend-like person....He found himself facing the booth, with all of it's shiny display of knives, it's target, it's blindfolds and it's overhanging of buckets, and for a moment, as he saw all of those crowded around and inside, he balked. And then somebody ran into him from behind, and called him a ghoulie. Mathias instantly sneered, his temper flaring in an all too familiar way. "Vould think already blindfolded, but maybe just needing to be checking eyes." He growled in her direction, baring more teeth than just his usual protrusion of long fangs. "Or maybe is just stupid, but vut can vun expect from ghoul?" He was muttering more to himself at the last, though if she heard him or not, he didn't care.

quite uneventful TICKET! Also which mini did you want? You didn't state. A few more people gave a try, though one unfamiliar face caught his attention. When the knife landed right in the center, Shun gave the knife thrower a curt nod of approval as she handed the blindfold back. Good work. His attention didn't linger there for long, as Hel had strutted on up and called out to him. "That it is," he answered her before nodding again as he motioned towards the two under his proverbial wing. "Yes. These are the two I'm training. Estel, whom you've met, and Lock."Overhearing the others, he gave a sort of raised brow.

"Ah!" She grinned. Estel was officially his mentee, she should have guessed. "Who is Lock?" She asked the grim, failing to realize that the said reaper was also right at the tent as well. "I admit, I am a bit surprise you have the patience to train the scarelings, Shun." Hel laughed. "I am mentoring--" But then that chick she had accidentally bumped into was getting snappy. Hel whipped her head around to stare at Matty. "Ya. Hello. Would you like to repeat those words to my face this time, boyo?" Her lips slowly curled up into a smile before she turned back to Shun. "I am mentoring Leo, a second year monster ghoul, and Titus." Here, she had to grin.
