Uzal was glad the face he made was hidden behind his masks. Was his question really that obvious? He eyed the... male... suspiciously at the feminine chuckle, but refrained from his usual, sarcastic commentary. He felt a bit indebted to the stallion, and offending one's debtor generally increased the debt. "Where will you go, then?" he inquired. Pretty much everywhere was colder than here, and there was plenty to do in most of them... though most of the things to do these days were involved with war--whether the large war between the King's forces and the Six or smaller, territory skirmishes.

"... To report on a request," Uzal said finally. Indebted he may be, but he wasn't sure about this Azrein. He didn't want to bring a hostile stallion into the only place he could safely lay his head down in. "Then back to wandering, I would imagine."

Uzal hesitated. He wasn't really sure if he wanted a traveling companion... but he did owe the stallion. He nodded, then pulled his face mask off so he could return to his fruit. Who knew? Maybe Caverly Roarke would grow on him. His father had been voicing concerns about his lack of friends... maybe this would silence them.

Uzal did not like this trip.

His companion was neither particularly irritating or particularly pleasant, but Uzal could not shake the feeling of an animal being hunted. But the only one he could ever detect around him was Caverly Roarke, the stallion with the annoying ability to act and sound extremely feminine. Even so, he had relaxed ever so slightly around the male. He was still wary, but he was not as tense as he was around Caverly as he first was. It was an improvement. Still, he couldn't help but be suspicious... they'd already exited the desert, but Caverly didn't show any signs of parting ways with him. If this kept up, he'd have to actually force the separation...

Pity. He might've had a friend.

Uzal had been dozing when he felt a sudden rush of panic, like a rabbit about to be snatched up by a fox or wolf. Muscles immediately tensed, his hidden gaze flicking about as much as it could without moving. Where was the enemy--or foreign presence--that had disturbed his sleep?

Myth. It was just Myth. "Caverly, stop." He slowly lifted himself to his feet, shaking away the sleep. "He's not an enemy." He felt surprisingly unsteady on his legs at the moment, but walked well enough to approach the pair. "Honestly, I can't even take a nap anymore..." He wasn't sure who to be annoyed at, Myth or Caverly. He'd probably figure it out when they started speaking.

"I figured it was something catastrophic like that," Uzal replied with a sigh. "The south is in chaos. Lord Demoni's holed up in his cave and it looks like Dakini's flown the coop. Whether she's defected or just venting, I have no idea." He didn't seem at all bothered by the news, unlike Myth. He had never met Roman "Chaos" Aumia, their father's golden child. He couldn't force grief over someone he didn't know.

Hidden gaze flicking to the side, he added, "Also. Caverly. Stop doing that thing. It's annoying." Checking out him and his brother... it made him uncomfortable.

Uzal nodded. "I can do that if you deliver my report to Dad for me." He rolled his eyes at Caverly's behavior. Once he was out of earshot, he explained. "He helped me out of a sandstorm... and has stuck to me ever since. We were supposed to split ways, but..." He glanced over his shoulder, then back at his brother. "... I feel like he's hunting me or something. You wouldn't by chance know that aggravatingly feminine stallion, would you?" Especially for Caverly to fight with Myth, the most experienced fighter among his brothers, the stallion had to be more than he first appeared...
