Zascha finished 'securing' the blankets for the most part. They wouldn't fall down on their own but a good tug might pull the whole thing down. He stood back, examining the handy work. Well, he certainly hadn't planned on turning his bed into a blanket fort.

As she climbed right into it he shook his head lightly. She sure was making herself quite at home in his bed. In his room. Maybe he'd get some sleep tonight. "I hope you don't snore."

Placing the box of pins back into the nightstand, Zascha slipped his pillow back on to his bed before crossing the small room and flicking the light out. If he fell asleep he didn't want to leave the light on. Soon he too was under the blankets a faint clicking noise and a flashlight lit up his face. An eyebrow raised at her squeak, another rumble of thunder. "So now what?"

"You gotta get here early for the premo mattresses I guess." He honestly wouldn't have known the difference between their beds but it sounded like a good reason anyway. Placing his pillow back at the top of the bed he flopped back, an arm resting behind his head as he let out a soft sigh.

"I'm pretty sure some girls snore. Whether or not you snore still remains to be seen." He shone the flashlight over at her, finally noticing that she had taken her hair down. A small smile came to his lips as he watched her for a second.

Both eyebrows raised this time. Sitting up, he leaned in closer to her squinting a bit as his lips pulled tight. "So you woke me up to build a blanket fort and that's it? Why do I get the feeling there's more to this than you're telling me?" He could smell the scent coming from her hair it was nice.

Tossing the flashlight onto the bed, it flopped around before settling. Zascha flopped over onto his side with his back facing her and grabbed on to his pillow. "I guess that means I can go back to sleep then."

"There's no such thing as luck." He mumbled lightly into his pillow. Eyes clenched shut as he tried to relax, though it was kind of hard with her there. In his bed.

Zascha didn't move for a few seconds as she pressed her foot into his back. But soon he sighed and rolled over so that he was facing her now. "Then what do you want to do if you can't sleep? Talk? Tell ghost stories? Make s'mores?" He leaned up on one elbow, resting his head in his hand. "Make out? What? Or tell me why you're afraid of the thunder storm outside..."

If she wasn't going to admit it out right he was going to make her come clean.

Zascha sighed but he could help but chuckle at her pout. She was being silly about it really. There was nothing wrong with admitting you were afraid sometimes. He realized that she was even if she wouldn't admit it. Otherwise she probably wouldn't be here in the middle of the night

"Well I am. I'm afraid." Reaching out he grasped her arm, giving it a little tug in an effort to get her to come a little closer. Maybe lay down with him or something. "Let me tell you a story, it'll make me feel better. But you have to come lay down with me or the story won't be good at all."

He sneakily wrapped his own arm around her, pulling her closer to him. Willing till he was on his back and she was pulled in to the crook of his arm. Her hair smelt nice and he had to catch himself from sticking his nose in it and taking a wiff.

With his other hand he reached for the flashlight and propped it against his hip so that it shone on the blanket ceiling over head but still left him with a free hand. "This is the story of a little wolf. From birth he claimed that nothing scared him. He was a big strong wolf, could take on any challenge the other wolves were too cautious about..."

Lifting his hand he made a wolf head shadow puppet move about on the 'stage'.

"We didn't have cable television when I was little." Was his reply before he continued.

"One day, him and his pack found a strange cave they had never seen before. They had traveled every inch of their territory and never once seen it. Now, the brave strong wolf had one thing he was a bit cautious about. Caves were homes to bears and bears were pretty nasty things. But the smell of food inside was strong. Without thinking his pack rushed in blinded by the sweet smell of meat that awaited them." He glanced down at her as she snuggled in closer, a soft smile on his lips.

"The brave wolf was alone now, standing on the edge of the cave. He listened for his friends but could hear no noise." Zascha moved his hand back and forth as if the wolf was pacing. "Not a moment later a crow landed on a nearby branch. 'Are you afraid? Will you not go save your friends? Surely they are dead by now.' The crow laughed and flapped his wings." Moving so that he could use both hands for a minute he made a bird shadow puppet on the ceiling.

If she'd asked him if he was serious he'd tell her yes about the cable tv thing.

He switched back to the wolf shadow. "'I'm not afraid. I'm sure they are just fine.' The wolf replied to the crow. The crow laughed and danced on the branch once more. 'Then go see go see! Perhaps they arrreee a live and only you can save them. But you're scared aren't you?' Another crow laugh filled the forest. The wolf looked at the cave again, he could still not hear his friends but the crow kept edging him on. 'Fine! I'm not afraid I will go.' And without another word to the crow the wolf entered the cave."

Reaching down he clicked off the flashlight before wrapping his other arm around Harlow and leaning his cheek against the top of her head. "He moved through the cave, searching for his friends. When all of a sudden he heard movement. Calling to his friends the wolf grew more and more frightened until something jumped out at him from the darkness. He cried and squealed, howling as he tried to get away until the sound of laughter filled the cave. Sitting up straight he let his eyes adjust until he could make out the figures of his pack. His friends had tricked him."

Zascha took a long smell of Halow's hair. It did smell nice, just as he had thought it would. A smile coming to his lips as he listened to her small yawn. "'We just wanted you to stop being so cocky all the time and admit that you were scared sometimes. Everyone is afraid of something and you, our friend, are afraid of being alone. So much so that you ran into the darkness to find us. You would have rather faced death then be alone. But no worries my friend we are here and will never leave you again. But its ok to admit you are afraid sometimes, that's what we're here for. To help you get through it, because things aren't so scary when you have others with you."

"Well there's still time if you want to pick that option." Reaching up with his one hand he brushed away a stray hair off of her cheek. Letting his fingers run through a small section of her hair.

Being like this with Harlow was kind of cozy really. Comfortable and calming. It was a bit nerve wracking as well but if it became a more frequent thing he certainly wouldn't argue about it.
