Pierce grinned, watching her expression as she faded, his head tilting back and forth -- obviously enjoying her pain as his claws dug in. His adrenaline had helped him keep his own weariness away but the brief lull was making him feel it again and as much as he enjoyed this, he leaned down to slam his head into hers to knock her out. HP: 2

:: There wasn't much left in her to start with, his head slamming in to hers was what brought the darkness flooding it... her head lolling to the side, bloody and bruised... totally broken, her hands falling away from him to splay on the ground, her body limp and lifeless... save for the very frail rise and fall of her chest that was barely noticeable. ::

 Rillian may have had a job as a record keeper for this war, but he knew he had another job as well. The healer/record keeper slunk his way across the battle grounds, avoiding those engaged in fights or looking for them as he searched for fallen comrades. He blinked when he spied the broken gray and black lump on the ground. The scythes were a clear marker of a death follower. He hurried his way over towards the girl and dropped to a knee. "Hey..hey...you alive still?" He asked as he unslung a duffel bag full of healing supplies off his shoulder.

:: Cerise's body seemed to just, flop about as he'd shove at her shoulder. She was bleeding from cuts across her side, stomach and her neck. Her face was very banged up too. Her nose broke and her lip split she'd give a muffled groan and her fingers twitched as her head lolled to the side.... "Mask..." she'd whisper hoarsely... her blue eyes slowly cracking open. ::

Rillian scooped out some gauze pads to begin patting at the bleeding wounds. First he had to clean up the excess blood. Then he had to staunch the wounds. "Mask." He repeated as he looked towards the ground. "Don't worry. I'll get it soon as I take care of your wounds. "Rillian actually smiled at Cerise and paused to push his glasses up on his nose. "I know what it's like to lose something special. I'm Rillian by the way. Lordy Librarian and resident recorder of all the craziness going on." He quipped.

:: She'd lie there, allowing him to tend to her wounds... still half out of it.... until she tried to wrinkle her nose as her eyes clenched shut during a particularly tender area he was trying to staunch the bleeding... "Ah..... my nose..." her eyes flooded with tears at the sensation... streaming from her eyes and down into her hair... She was a mess all over, but seemed to be affected most by her tiny nose being broken... she'd look at him through watery eyes, the vision of his blurry as she'd tent her fingers protectively over her nose... "Cerise..." her voice muffled because her hands were in the way... "nice to meet you?" heck, she didn't want to admit that she'd lost... she'd been doing well so far. She'd narrow her eyes at him... "wait... I know you.... " wasn't he the one that was helping Antarmur'ss remember all their names? ::

Rillian gently tucked some bandages around one of the wounds and tied it off. He leaned over Cerise thoughtfully, then dug around in his bag. "Don't worry about your nose. I got braces and splints for practically anything in here." He said as he pulled out a small metal and padded splint specifically for a broken nose. he leaned over Cerise and gave her an apologetic look. "This is going to hurt. I'm sorry, but you don't want your nose healing crooked right?" He gave her a few seconds to reply and brace herself before he reached out to set and bind her nose in the splint. "Oh I'm sure you do know me. I've been around in every single war. I'm not much of a warrior mind you. I usually just stay in the camp. Write things down and run around trying to help keep the chaos to a minimum." He chatted along while working.

:: She didn't want anyone touching her nose, she didn't even want her fingers to be this close. The thing throbbed angrily under her fingers... she could practically feel the heat radiating off of it... When he told her it was going to hurt, "Hurts already..." she'd whine like a little girl... looking away as a blush rose to her cheeks.... she was being so stupid!.... she'd take a few deep breaths and then put her hands down to her sides forcefully, clenching them into fists... She didn't want it to grow back in place crooked... but it just hurt so bad! She'd rather have any pain but this!... She'd give a yelp of pain when he'd set her nose and squeak as he'd put the splint on. Tears falling in full currents now from the stinging pain... Trying to calm down, she'd listen to his words... her small frowning face turning to him... "I'm not good with people, so... it's best if I'm out here fighting... I don't think I could handle being around so many people in pain..." Just seeing it during the last war had driven her to do something that had nearly lost her, her God's love forever. ::

The nose was set. The worst of the wounds were bound. There were still some other things he could do, but he figured now was the best time to get her back to the camp for rest and further bindings. "I was sort of like that in the first war, but as it happened again, and now a third time. I've realized that if I don't do this then someone else will. I don't feel comfortable with passing along the job to someone else when I can handle it. If you think your job is best fulfilled by being out in battle then that's good. Keep up the effort and you will be surprised at what your capable of. Now...let's get you up and to the healers tent huh?" He offered as he reached out to hook an arm under her shoulders. "I should probably get some pain killers. That's the one thing I didn't think to grab when I packed my bag. Scatterbrain me huh?"

:: She'd give a soft sigh, "I wasn't born yet, for the first war. But I was in the last one, and well, obviously now, but I didn't do too well that time..." She shuddered, remembering the creepy cursed... he'd scared her to death. "I don't like being so close to the cursed, but I really can handle myself. I know a lot of people look at me and see something weak, but really... I'm not." even though he'd just basically scraped her off the ground. She'd let him help her up. Gathering her shortened scythes and her black skull mask, attaching the two, to her back and her mask she'd just place on top of her head to keep it clear of her sore nose. "I defeated a Corrupted... and nearly did beat a General. But this creepy cursed just.... ugh..." shaking her head, "he was just, scary. And I don't scare easily..." she'd allow him to help her back to the camp. ::

Rillian waited long enough for Cerise to gather her possessions, then he took over helping her back to the camp. "Oh I know. I know. I've faced more then my fair share of creepy cursed. I've got a bloody stalker of one. He attacked me multiple times in the last war. I couldn't help but scream every time. He freaks me out. he can't feel pain so unless I wrecked him he wasn't going down..and honestly..I never won against him. And now? Now the bastards a demigod and I'm just waiting. I constantly look over my shoulder expecting to see him sneaking up on me with that maniacal grin of his." Rillian half smiled at Cerise. "But enough of that for now. Soon as we get you to the camp I'll get you to a cot so you can rest up and try your hand again." He promised her as they made their way back to the camp together.

:: She'd stare down at the ground, her arm linked through his so she'd have the support she knew she needed right now. The trip back to the camp wasn't easy but she'd been worse off before. Her nose still bothered her and she yearned for those pain killers. "Yes, a cot sounds wonderful. I could use the sleep and a lot of pain killers. My nose is killing me." she didn't smile at all, her eyes still following the ground as he'd lead her into the tent and lie her down. "It wasn't a demi-god, I'm not so foolish to go after one of those. But I guess in this war, we don't have much of a choice it they come after us, do we?" she'd look off to the side, not too happy with that thought. ::

"We can only do what we are capable of, and push ourselves to do more." Rillian stated as he set Cerise on a empty cot. it took him all of three seconds to fetch her a drink laced with pain killers, and a sleep aid. So she'd be able to rest well and recover quickly.
