There was a pause, and then Claude just had to laugh. It was small, and nothing loud, but it was there. "It's true." She muttered under her breath. "Men only think about one thing." She then said, louder: "I honestly wouldn't know, Finn, I haven't had the chance to see it." She then raised her pistol again, and fired, but it missed, of course. "If you're going to start something, finish it." She replied simply. In other words, keep going. HP: 11 / 40 DMG: 0 Charge: 2 / 3

He couldn't quite hear her first remark, though he could see her lips moving, but the words were caught by the breeze and spirited away before they could reach his ears. He did note the laughter, however light it had been, his teeth flashing in a grin that was purely as cold as his smiles, though somehow less condescending than his smirks. "Are you fishing for an invitation?" He asked, eyebrows lifting, and when she lifted her pistol and fired, the only flinch was in his eye, which blinked at the crack of sound in the air. "You really should practice more or something, darling. Not knowing how to use your weapon will get you killed rather quickly around here." Unwanted advice, most likely, but for once not mocking in it's tone. He spun his lance, a helicopter of black and magenta that fell down in another quick strike, this time to the opposite shoulder of the one he had attacked previously. HP: 45 Damage: 2 Charge: 3/3

Something about his wording amused her, and it had the trainee quirking her lips up in a small and brief crooked smile. Maybe because it was a water reference, and water made her think of pirates, and she so did love pirates. She had also been thinking during this match, that she could continue to be annoyed at people, and she'd just end up festering in the feeling, since the people wouldn't go away anytime soon. Or she could just start letting things roll off her shoulders more. That seemed like the best way, as Evan and her had discussed, to cope and maintain a shred of sanity longer on this god forsaken island. "Is it really fishing when you keep dangling it in my face?" She countered, and then released a sigh. "Yes. I know. Let me assure you, I'm not trying to miss." That being said, she fired off another shot, though it was another weak one. She almost rolled her eyes at the murmuring of being charged in her mind. Finally. HP: 9 / 40 DMG: 2 Charge: 3 / 3

"If I'm going to be dangling something in front of you, it most definitely will not be my a**, darling." He grinned, the tone somewhere along the way becoming much more lighthearted instead of the downright dickish behaviour he had been treating Claude with before. ".....But I might need to get a step ladder to do so." In before she could be with the short jokes. Take that, Claude! The bullet was, hilariously, somehow partially blocked by his lance, which dinged off of it, ricocheting to take him straight in the cheekbone, which stung like a son of a b***h, and likely gave him whiplash as his head jerked backwards. "Better." He said, shaking it off and darting forward with a sweep of his lance towards her midsection. HP: 43 Damage: 4 Charge: 3/3

Claude opened her mouth to retort, but Finn had beat her to the 'short' punch. There was a pause on the Sun's part, followed by another chuckle. "You're learning." She commented, teasing of course, and then let out a soft exasperated sigh. "No. Not better, really." Though a part of her did have to note that was was kind of nice for the other hunter to be a bit encouraging about that. Her brows knitted as his weapon connected with her mid-section, continuing to whittle away at her shield. Figuring it couldn't hurt at this point, because he was a higher level and she was reaching the end, she let off her charged attack. Claude stepped back from him and lifted her pistol. She braced the weapon with her other hand and let out a rain of bullets from her pistol. HP: 5 / 40 DMG: T2 Swift Strikes - 12 Charge: 0 / 3 ; 1 / 2

Finn actually went so far as to roll his eye at the you're learning comment, because what the ******** did she think he was? Some kind of student and her the teacher? Laughable, considering he was kicking her stupid pirate wannabe a** at the moment. When he let loose the volley of bullets, however, it was all he could do to block as much of them as he could with his lance, though more than a few zipped by and pummeled against his Fear shield, leaving stinging welts of pain behind at every location on his body that was struck, and forcing him back several steps so that he was no longer within reach of striking her with his lance. "Was that your charged attack?" He asked, curious, but not using his own in response because he felt that it was entirely unnecessary to do so in what was obviously a very imbalanced match up. "Yeah." Claude replied simply, and couldn't help but mentally add 'haven't missed with that so far'... Knock on wood. At least something landed a solid hit though. This match wasn't entirely laughable. Not entirely. Despite unleashing her charge and Finn not attacking, she figured it couldn't hurt to get more 'practice' in, and fired off another shot at the hunter. HP: 5 / 40 DMG: 3 Charge: 1 / 3 ; 1 / 2

Interesting, and rather impressive that she managed to hit him so many times in rapid succession considering how many of her earlier shots had missed entirely. Perhaps she was getting the hang of her weapon the longer they fought, and while he wasn't always the easiest sort to get along with, or even the most helpful the majority of the time, there was something to be said for Finn's willingness to educate trainee's in how to use their weapons properly, or at least, in his ability to be a punching bag should the need for it arise. Another shot was fired while he moved to close the distance between them, another stinging sensation, this time a graze against his side. He had no idea how well her shield was holding up at this point, and while he was curious to see if she could manage to continue on her current (albeit small) streak of good luck in managing to hit him, he decided it was time to take things more seriously on his own end again. "Not bad," He smirked, picking up his pace as he moved towards her, his weapon held to the side in a two handed grip, the scythe-like blade behind him but swinging around as he came close enough to land a hit, whistling through the air and aimed to slash across her mid-section. "Not good enough, but not bad." HP: 28 Damage: 6 Charge: 3/3
