Ren was happy to be back but she was not happy every one ran off to do their own things and she was left still annoyed. 'Gin where are you love' she thought as she went to sit in a chair by the bed. She grabbed her note book and began to write in it as she wondered way Gin had been gone for so long and were where many others that severed them had gone too. Things where getting hard and she need to act fast or they would loss there wins over the sandman.

Lily stopped in the doorway of her mother's room and coughed to get her attention. "Can we talk, mom?" she asked. "It's important. I have something to ask, and I need to hear your honest answer. So don't lie. Can you do that?" She waited a moment and then proceeded. "Do you actually care about me at all? Or did you decide to come get me because I have your blood and can be useful to you?"

"you may come in" Ren said as she looked up from her note book. She waved a hand to other chair in the room for Lily to sit as she put her note book away and looked at her. Hearing the question she just smiled, seeing that Lily was not a a child no more. "I care but not in a mother way I care in I am your master" she said, "you have my blood so you are my youngly and I have use for you."

Lily moved into the room, accidentally bumping a table. A piece of paper blew off of the table and landed at Ren's feet. At the top of the page were the words 'Live Another Life'. It was a spell Allistair had left behind for Ren to find. Lily slipped into the seet and listened to Ren's answer. "I thought as much," she said quietly. "Uncle told me that, but I was hoping he was wrong." She was quiet for a moment. "Is there any way you could ever love me as the daughter you said I was?" She spoke calmly, but her real feelings showed in her eyes. She wanted Ren to say yes. She was desperate for the love of the one who called herself her mother.

REn looked at her before picking up the paper and looking at it. She slipped it in to her note book before looking back at Lily. "yes be a true child of the Re" she said, "you need a dark heart and soul for here and not ties to the sandman or your past. Live another life, one that rufses the light and takes the darkness in. Become my daughter of death and war.

Lily seemed a bit puzzled by Ren's response. "You're asking me to be something I don't know how to be," she said. "But there are a few things I have to say. First, the only ties I have to Sandman are the ones you gave me. The only link is the one to Uncle Grann, the one that lies in our blood. And the link to my past is gone. I had some sort of bond to someone I'm guessing is Lucy, but it's broken now. I borrowed some of her power to save Esabel, and the strain severed the bond. It's gone forever. The only connections I have left are the ones I've created here." As she spoke, she gained an aura of light. But there was a tiny bit of pure darkness there, too. It was the darkness that had been fighting to take root, the darkness that Lily had been fighting off for a while.

'Soon that tie will be died' Ren thought of her brother. She would be happy when him and his mate where long gone. Then she could rule the world and be happy with having things her way. "you ask me what would make you my child and love you" she said, "but First I think you could spend time with esabel for you did upset her and some sister time would be good for you both."

"I've already spent time with Essy," Lily said. "I suppose you haven't heard about that yet. Goh poisoned her. She was dying. But she's fine now. Everything is fine between me and Essy. And Goh's soul is gone for good." She was quiet for a while. She was desperate for Ren's love, but she refused to be used as a weapon. "I asked my question, and got my answer. You don't love me, and you only care as long as I'm useful. I wish I could hate you for it, but I can't. I love you as my mother, even if you only want to use me. But I'm done. I don't care if you turned me. I won't let you use me to hurt anyone. I won't do anything you tell me to do."

"You have my blood you are my child, so I do love you for that" Ren said with a sigh, "if you will not fight or kill I guess you could help your father or me in our lab work or go help those who are sick or hurt." She got up and went to patted Lily on the head. "you are my heir so don't for get that. If I and Gin Die you must led the re to rule this world" she said

Lily stepped away from Ren, obviously still upset. "I'll heal people, but that's it," she said. "I'm not part of a war. I don't want to rule anything. I won't lead the Re." A barrier of light appeared to make sure that Ren couldn't close the distance between them.

"Fine if thats how you want it" Ren said going back to sit and work on her notes. She would need to teach lily or have Gin or Esabel that there way of life was better for there kind. "you may go" she said not looking up from her notes.

Devossy (And this is the point when Lily randomly changes back to her younger self.)  Lily
Lily sighed. "It's not how I want it, but it's the closest I'll get," she said. She moved to leave and then froze, gasping. "Not now." She began to glow brightly as her body did exactly what Allistair had described when Ren first turned her. Her needs were met, and she was in the safest place she could be in, so she reverted to her younger self. When the glow faded, the innocent child Ren had taken originally was back. Her older self would remain dormant until she needed to feed again. Until then, Lily would have no memory of what her older self had done. She clutched her head and looked around until she saw Ren. "What happened, Mommy? My head hurts." Her older self was upset with Ren, but the younger Lily still loved Ren and believed that Ren was her real mother.

Ren put her note book down and got up going to Lily after what she jsut saw. It seemed this was going to be a on going things but she would find a way to deal with both older and younger lily. "There there there sweety you just had a big day and a lot of things happened" she said taking Lily in to her arms and patting her back, "you just need some rest that it all and the headach will go away." She like lily when she was like this and wished she would stay little forever. She kissed the girls head and held her as she hummed.

Lily smiled and hugged Ren. "I love you, Mommy," she said. Her headache was already starting to go away. And, strangely, a fragment of one of her older self's memories made it to her mind. She looked puzzled. "I remember something, Mommy. But I don't get it. It's something about.." She paused for a moment to make sure she remembered it correctly and then continued. "It's something about how you love peanut butter." She obviously didn't know what it meant or why she remembered this one thing. She was just telling Ren what she remembered.

Ren bite her lip and just smiled back as she hugged Lily back. She could blame that dame cat for this and would get her back for that. "I did once but something happened" she said trying to smile, "but I love Wine more then anything." She smiled and hugged Lily more before picking her up and carrying her to sit with her on the lounge. "Are you hungry sweety or anything else?" she asked. She wanted to make sure Lily was all right before she would have Gin look her over again and then have Easbel train her powers.
