The sai makes another light injury on Matataki as she charges at the Cursed once more with the last of her strength. She raises the scythe over her head and attempts to smash the butt end of it into his face one last time.

If Shouless was inclined to speak, he might have cursed at that point. He attempted to rally his strength for one last attack, but the butt end of the scythe smashed down on his head. He fell back onto the ground with his red eyes dimming, though they did not close.
