Hikari listened to Nahumar, she still was eager to solve the problem - "Right ... so what i have ..." - Hikari was about to ask him, but she saw him disappear between the shadows - "... to do ... Ugh! he mustn't be very far" - She mumbled for herself, so she flew in an instant to look for the fear Youkai.

Hanalli explained what she was doing before she felt drained. She still looked herself, trying not to worry anyone. Sorina expressed her concern, explaining that it was too early for Hanalli's recharge cycle. Nahumar said that he could sense fear growing in the hearts of the people, and became worried of it growing into anger. Hanalli spoke up once more, saying that she didn't want her current condition to ruin the festival. Byakuren smiled at the little girl's caring response.

When Nahumar took his leave, Byakuren began to go after him, "Ah! Wait, let me-" the monk cut herself off as Nahumar vanished into the shadows. "Help..." Byakuren looked back to Hanalli and decided to help keep spirits high. The monk placed her gift next to Hanalli and stood in front of the people at the festival. The monk gripped her closed air scroll in front of her"She's right. This is festival for happiness, so," Byakuren opened her scroll above her head, revealing it's radiant light, shining with the light of Buddha. "Let us keep our happiness for Hanalli, as she has kept it for us!" The monk chanted. She hoped that this could sway a few hearts away from fear, even the fear in her heart.

Byakuren's attempt to calm the crowd down. Of course it worked as the population went on with the celebration and the children left due to the circumstances of Hanalli. Though it would work for the moment, eventually they may start building that fear up again. Yet then some small rocks were being tossed at Hanalli. Three thick headed humans seemed agitated. One looked like a Carpenter, another was a vendor and the third seemed to be a heavy lifter of some kind. "This is a waste of our work. Get her shining again now!" one shouted. Sorina did what she could to take most of the rocks. Though they are not intending to hurt it's the act itself that was deemed harmful.

To Hanalli, this felt similar to her very sketchy past... Yet instead the humans were her worshipers and she was their Deity. "B-but we do not know the cause-"
"Shut up! We are not asking for an explanation. We want results!" some humans just can't take a break at all. "...You want me to shine now? Then give me your hearts." Hanalli spoke...her voice sounding far more menacing and dare they say...evil. Her eyes glared at them. They figured it was a bluff. "What kind of nonsense are you speaking of? Just eat the damn flowers!" their anger was rising and Sorina could only hold her supposed sister for protection.

While Hikari was running to find Nahumar, she bumped into the hooded figure from behind. Her hood came off and as she turned around the faint green rune like tattoos were exposed. Her eyes were a deep orange. She wasn't a Youkai but at the same time she had this aura of some kind of being to her.
"Watch where you are going!" she shouted angrily, putting her hood on and walking away slowly. She figured that Hikari wasn't going to chase her down...

"Seems like it's all going out of control if left unchecked...I' hate those three but for the sake of Gensokyo..."

Hikari watched the hooded figure walking away - "Whoa whoa whoa! ... what the heck?" - The dream eater said to herself as she saw the rune green tatoos covering the unknown female's face, she had the thought that the girl who she bumped had something to do with Hanalli's illness - 'Can't go after her now, i must look for Nahumar' - She thought once more and kept flying searching for him.

Byakuren's heart eased as her attempt to raise the mood worked. But only temporarily. There was an uproar of a few villagers, who decided to express their anger towards Hanalli's current state. The berated both the emotion youkai and proceeded to throw rocks at them. Shocked by this new turn of events, Byakuren dashed in between the villagers and the emotion youkai. Grabbing a rock that was thrown towards Sorina and Hanalli, Byakuren's face, though smiling, turned rather imposing. "This is a celebration, yes?" Byakuren asked the villagers. "Throwing rocks and assaulting the festival's main patron are not very celebratory, is it?" Holding the rock out in front of her, Byakuren's expression did not change. "Hanalli will return to her bright self as soon as she is able to, so in the mean time," The monk released the stone from her grip, letting it fall to the ground with a thump. "Why don't you find a more grateful, generous attitude and enjoy what you can of the festival?" Byakuren said, moving her hands behind her back. Though her pose was cute, her tone became rather dark "It would be best not to tempt a youkai when it asks for your heart." Byakuren wasn't hoping to have to use fear, but irrational behavior usually only reacts to fear.

Without turning away from the villagers, Byakuren asked, "Are you two alright?" Things were seemingly getting quite out of hand. Byakuren hoped that whatever Nahumar was planning would help.

The small group walked off while also commenting under their breath about how soft Byakuren was on them. Sorina started to produce tears despite being happy that Byakuren had to help them. "Thank you so much....I am horrible when it comes to leading things." yet Hanalli just chuckled at her reaction.
"Normally I would hate to help these three out but in this case I will make an exception." from behind a wall, Yukari walked up past Byakuren as she grabbed Hanalli with ease by her collar. She turned her around to face away from Yukari. She pulled down the back side of her shirt to expose the problem. Three small leech like creatures with an odd green dot on their heads. "What are those?!" Sorina shrieked in terror with Hanalli not realizing what they were. With a pluck of one, Yukari coldly replied "Leeches, but not the blood sucking kind." she examined one closely, noticing how it was thrashing about to grab on Yukari's forehead. She simply tossed it on the ground and crushed it under her foot with distaste for it.

Sorina slowly stood up as she was given Hanalli back, free from those leeches. Her color was not returning but at least her strength was. Yukari turned to Byakuren to educate and explain some things. "Sorina, Nahumar, Hanalli...these three emotional beings are very much like a leech. Only instead they thrive off the host's emotions. They do not kill humans because they need them...they would rather help them in the end. What was attached to Hanalli is the same as them, only do you see a problem?" Her gaze looked back to Hanalli and Sorina. She figured Nahumar went to deal with the humans and remove their fear or something before it got worse...
"None of these emotion 'Youkai' have such vile things." yet with the color of green, Sorina went to a conclusion "Then that person in the underground-" she was stopped "It means there is another emotion here. One that has a hunger for status. Last i check...those in the underground had nothing to do with this. It's an outside source that slipped past the barrier. Have any of you seen something strange or out of place? Like a human?" she knew full well what is causing this, but wanted to see if the others were paying attention. Though she does not know where 'She' ran off to. Hanalli started to slowly consume some flowers to regain her color only but a fraction. "...Poialen."

The more Hikari search, the more she came across Nahumar's little purple rabbits scurrying about in the darker parts like patrols. It wasn't until he managed to grab her shoulder with his tendon did he show up. "Slow down." he didn't seem to say much. Nahumar was trying his best to hide his obvious tendrils that protrude from his backside through the longcoat he wore. Two nearly identical felines looked up from the left and right side of Nahumar in curiosity. "You should enjoy the festival, not help. I am glad you want to but we do not know for certain what is causing the problem. If you are running around, it will create more panic, which will lead into more than what I can consume and distribute about in a day." he was trying to make it clear that he was trying to ease the fear in people's hearts from a distance. With so many beings here, it would prove to be rough for him. Any more and he would have to stop.

Yet even as they talked, that cloaked woman seem to slip by them once more as if finding a new place to hide and monitor the main area.

The gap hag made her appearance. She was also quick to solve the case of Hanalli's illness, revealing rather peculiar green slugs dotting Hanalli's body. She explained to Byakuren, as well, how Hanalli, Sorina, and Nahumar act as youkai. Yukari deduced that another emotion youkai was here, surprising Byakuren. Hanalli uttered a name, Poialen. "Poialen?" the monk parroted. It was a very unfamiliar name. "I can't say I've heard this name anywhere before..." Byakuren muttered, putting her hand to her chin. "A hunger for... status?" Byakuren questioned, "Such as something along the lines of status as a youkai?" She was doing her best to wrap her head around the situation.

Yukari deliberately ignored Hanalli's mumble and focused more on Byakuren. Granted they were never the kind to interact casually between each other often, she was part of this incident and can better relate with this incident than Reimu.
"Or human. I didn't want to be blunt so much but it's Pride." she gently walked past Byakuren without so much as a phase in her stride, picking up one of Nahumar's random parasites and petting it like a rabbit to build the 'atmosphere' so to say. "Pride is an emotion that has two sides. One good and one bad. For instance, I have much pride in my work in managing the rules throughout Gensokyo. Outsiders who come in by some weird way or otherwise will either die as dinner to the locals or survive long enough for me to send them back if they so desire...yet even at times I can get too prideful." she turned to Byakuren with an intimidating glare. "Surely a human such as yourself would understand what it means to have pride...that even it could cloud the judgments of one's actions. It is the bane of Kings, Rulers and Conquerors. Yet it also gives the lessers some satisfaction." she then placed the purple rabbit in Byakuren's hands for her to deal with, looking down at Sorina and Hanalli. Now her eyes filled with anger.

"And it seems the only reason this is happening is because this little runt brought an infectious plague through here recently!" the accusation made Sorina pull Hanalli closer for protection. "Hanalli would never do anything like that!" yet Hanalli looked over to Byakuren. Her eyes told it all...and she indeed managed to bring this new (and possibly dangerous) creature from the outside world. "The problem is those leeches of Pride will screw up more than just their attitudes. It could start a war with only humans against other humans. Balance is key here, and you should know not to bring in any of your miscarriage goods from the outside!" Yukari was downright insulting Hanalli now, but for good reason. Hanalli wouldn't know of the implications and problems of introducing a new being to this world without Yukari and Ran to judge and regulate it.
"...I'm sorry, but please don't mention it...I am not a mother anymore."

Hikari, now knowing the consecuences, began to understand, yet she felt that she could do better than wait - "Fine, i'll let you be ... but if you need a hand, just ask me!" - She said, and left the place - 'I hope i don't see that cloaked woman again ... i think that i did enough here' - The Dream Eater thought as she was halfway from the exit.
