Iris did not budge, but rather let the rainbow seemingly do the work for her. Her eyes were fixated on the bright colored lights, a necessity if she wanted this to work as a suitable distraction.
The Rainbow itself lashed out, snapping at the weapon fiercely. There was a good amount of force to the magical attack, and the spots it struck seemed to grow heated to the touch. It was almost like trying to defend oneself from a bizarre light show.
The cat considered his words before carefully stating "Ah, so you are aware of the draw backs that come with purification... I am glad you have spoken to others about the matter and have a plan." The chubby cat shifted in the boy's arms as if to try and look at the battle as it went on.
"Do you have any sort of plans for housing or anything like that immediately after? A support network of any sort?" The animal continued to shift, making the urgency of her conversation more apparent.

"I'm... aware of some. Memory loss is a strong possibility," Vespa said, remembering all of the previous intel he had gathered. He was warned early of that side effect, and the easiest thing to have done would be to give up his memories in the Negaverse. And yet, he couldn't do it, even after Kallichore recorded all he had to say on the matter and held onto it for prosperity, on the off chance that all of the valuable information he could offer to the White Moon was erased when he made the switch over. It would mean giving up his family, himself, and Penelope, but... he couldn't allow himself to forget the evils of the Negaverse. "I have a plan, just... not much of one. I have senshi and knights who said they'd help and I trust them. What I don't have is a princess..."
He told himself that the minute he found a princess, once he could guarantee his family's safety, that it'd be over. Just where would one find a princess in these parts?
It certainly wasn't the best situation she found herself in, but one wouldn't have noticed the alarm in Mica's form, as she remained cold and rigid, refusing to show a single ounce of fear or concern. She couldn't afford to- Vespa would need her to be the strong one in the situation and looked to her for guidance and support, she told herself, holding her ground and keeping her focus on her opponent. Whatever Vespa was doing was none of her concern for the moment...
However, the rainbow whip was more than for show, and Mica could see the steam rising from where its light touched her hilt. It was beginning to get hot to the touch and it wouldn't be long before its touch became unbearable. That would mean giving up her weapon, and that was something that Mica would never, ever allow to happen again. She tried to twist the weapon around, knowing that if she could just slam the hilt to the ground that she'd activate a little magic of her own, wondering if it would still have an affect after so long without use. The light from the rainbow was becoming painful to look at, but she refused to look away, pulling and trying to force the hilt into the ground.
"Vespa, hurry up and dispose of that cat! This senshi's the bigger threat!"

The cat's words were simple as she turned to face the Senshi of Rainbows.
"...yes, you have one..." There was a drastic pause, long enough for the General's orders to be heard.
"...Two weeks from now... let's say August 27th... you go to the park at 10pm... bring whatever support you need for the life you will have after." The manx squirmed out of the corrupted senshi's grip so that she could fall to the ground.
Upon landing the little round form seemed to sprout up in form until a silvery haired girl stood before him. With a tilt of her hat, she called out "Time for the Main Attraction!"
However, in a much lower tone she commented "You may need to make it seem as if I am overpowering you, Vespa..."
Iris was not privy to the cat's plans, so the moment her unrestrained aura popped up, she couldn't help but blink in surprise. It wasn't that she didn't know who the aura belonged to (proximity and a knowledge of the cat's abilities made it easy to predict), but it didn't make it any less shocking when unannounced. For a brief moment, the rainbow seemed to lilt in its relentless attack pattern.
However the gap didn't last too long as Iris soon enough returned all focus to the rainbow. Once more it began to strike like a cobra, trying to find any opening to get to the General behind the weapon.

It was so soft that Vespa wasn't sure he had even quite heard it right, and he tried to keep a tight lid on his emotions. Did he hear her right? Was ********* really telling him that Iris was a princess?! That'd solve... well, that'd solve a LOT of his problems, he thought, almost forgetting that he was putting up appearances and just barely stopping a smile from escaping. He had heard Mica's orders as well, but he was simply too excited to know that he'd be so close that he almost didn't hear ********* when she gave him a date and instructions. "Park, 10 pm on the 27th... I'll remember that date!"
Then she wriggled out of his arms, but before he could panic, either truly or in an act, ********* had transformed before his very eyes, something he hadn't witnessed from the Guardian cats before and completely mystified by the action. They could do that?! He almost missed her next set of instructions, and he fell to his knees, grabbing his head and shouting, trying to act as pained as possible. This was what she meant, right? "Ahhhhh, Mica, help! She's too much!"
He hoped she fell for it, but who wouldn't? He was a failure, a pathetic little soldiers, surely Mica could believe that, right?
Mica wasn't sure what caused the rainbow ribbon to slack, but the moment it did, she moved into action. She slammed the hilt down on the ground, causing the ice to form and creep up the hilt of the staff, locking it in place and cooling the weapon's touch, relieving her fingers if only for a few moments. She was surprised the magic even worked- it had been much too long since she had even tried such a thing...
Not that she'd have long to work with it. Vespa's shout caught her attention, forcing her to give up whatever advantage she might have had and looking to see the corrupt on his knees. What was ********* doing to cause such a thing and were Guardian cats even capable of such a thing? She didn't know- she had been too out of the loop. With the rainbow whip lashing out at her once more, she made a decision she'd always regret. She abandoned her staff, the ice melting and gravity taking the weapon to the ground, and she ran for the blonde, reaching for any part of his body to grab onto to teleport away. She'd berate him later and herself for being forced to retreat like this, but what choice did they have if a Guardian cat was capable of inflicting such pain now?
"We'll settle this another time, Rainbows!" She snapped, grabbing Vespa's long, golden ponytail and teleporting both of them away, unable to hear what Vespa said to ********* as the vanished from sight.
Even when Mica's grip hurt, Vespa managed a low whisper, and his smile was pure, hopeful... "Thank you..."

The way Vespa fell into the role was very convincing, which led the cat-earred girl into thinking that he might have had experience with getting injured before.
Perhaps too much experience.
It wasn't long before the boy was dragged off the scene by the General, though his faint words did manage to hit her sensitive ears.
The moment her opponent had fled the scene, Iris opened up her hand to banish the bright colored light. She panted slightly as she considered the brief exposure to the General's new magic. If she had been at it too much longer, the fight could have gone south very quickly. Plenty of energy went into such a variety of her attack.
"...so... what's th'status... Cat...?"
With a polite bow, the silvery haired girl shrunk back down to her more humble form. With her energy suppressed once more, she replied rather easily "...I think you might want to talk to Hank about getting some more sick days..."
Iris' reaction was somewhat flat. "....oh...."
"Oh indeed! Come now! I am sure I attracted a bit of attention, Iris! Let's get going!"
With that, the pair bounded off.
