When Haumea took his place at her side again, she could only smile at the art they had strung out for their enemies to see. The pleasure in it thrummed in her, filling her veins the same as it did his own. There was always a certain measure of pride in watching her brethren bloom into such perfect creatures. Once, when she had been alone, this had been something beyond her grasp. Now she was never alone and never disappointed.
