He hated seeing her cry; it made his insides twist with pain every time, because Mintaka was not a crier, she was strong and she was brave and she was kind, and she did not cry. The rare times she did - like the first time he had told her loved her, or the time when he'd almost broken things off because it was too dangerous - those times were few and far between.
His heart was aching fit to burst.
Mintaka's voice bubbled out along with her sobs, and it was like she couldn't stop speaking, and Aurostibite bent his head and kissed her again, sealing off the tide of words; but this one was gentle and quiet. His gloved hands moved from her face to her waist again, like he couldn't keep them still, and when he pulled back a moment later, he looked even less in control of himself than before.
"I will marry you," he said, and his voice shook a little, but there was a conviction to it that surprised even himself. His eyes blazed with the intensity of his words, Aurostibite gripping Mintaka's sides tightly as he stared down at her. "I will marry you, right here, right now. Let's get married, our own ceremony, just the two of us, right here, right now. We don't need anyone else, we don't need a witness, I belong to you and you belong to me, so let's get married, right now, you and me."

She made muffled sounds against his lips, because she was still rambling and she didn't know why she couldn't stop the tears, but they slowed and eventually she was able to wipe the wetness from her cheeks, even her eyes remained a little red and swollen.
"Don't...Don't you joke with me Aurostibite. Don't you joke with me right here Magiore Carpenter." She poked at his chest, but it lacked any real strength behind it. She was crying and in shock and so blessed happy that he would and she was a mess of emotions and she couldn't help everything gushing. So she kept poking his chest. "You can't...you can't just suggest to elope to me just like that, because I'm crying and that's what I really want and you give me too much of what I want." she poked at him again, "Giving a emotional unreasonable woman what she wants is dangerous! I will marry you!" She added, "Don't think I am saying no, but you...you..." She let out a frustrated breath. "I want a ring sometime too you know." Thankfully the tears were gone now, THANKFULLY. "A big fat diamond." She added, though she didn't want something like that. Rings had no other meaning then telling others. She tried to think of something they could exchange, something uniquely for each other but she hadn't expected him to actually ask her..tell her. Right here.
Oh lord right here she was getting married.

He gave a small laugh that was slightly rough sounding, a smile creeping onto Aurostibite's face as he gazed at her, at this woman that he'd fallen in love with. "I would never joke with you about something like this," he said, and cupped her face in one gloved hand, smoothing away a few strands of hair in tender gestures. "I am suggesting to you that we elope because I mean it, not because you're crying, but because I'm in love with you, because I have been in love with your for years now."
His eyes were stinging, his face feeling hotter, but he couldn't help smiling, couldn't stop the swell of affection and emotions for her that rose in his heart. Aurostibite leaned forward, pressing his forehead against hers and taking a deep, shaking breath.
"Marry me," he whispered, and this time there could be no doubt about what he was saying, what he was asking. His voice was soft but there was a finality and a passion to it that negated all else. "Marry me, and be mine forever, even if that forever is short."
Her request made him laugh. Aurostibite straightened a little and took a step away from Mintaka, sliding his hands from her waist and down her arms so that he could take both of her hands in his gloved ones, wrapping his fingers tightly around hers. He straightened, his shoulders pressed back, his head held high. There was no place they could go; no place in the city would take them, and there were next to none they could ask to perform even the simplest of ceremonies; still, Aurostibite was a Captain; back in the day, ship's captains had been able to perform wedding ceremonies, which meant that he too could have the same authority. And even if he didn't, he was going to do it anyway.
"We're gathered here today," he said quietly, a smile tugging at his lips. "To bring together the union of Eternal Senshi Mintaka, also known as Failyn Namgung, to Captain Aurostibite, also known as Magiore Carpenter. Seeing as how things are a little bit...dysfunctional at the moment, each person will present their own vows before the exchanging of the rings."
He shifted from booted foot to booted foot and looked at Mintaka.
"You first," he said softly."

"See. look at that. You look at that." She poked his chest again, "I'm all weepy and dramatic and nothing like a lady like I should be and you just bundle it all up and say plus I love you, and I know it's true because you've never lied to me, omitted, but never lied to me about us or our love and I know-" She breathed out. "And I know you love me, and if we get married here and now-" She shook her head, "We will be bonded over space and time. You are my husband, and I am your wife and that's how it'll be for years to come. Lifetimes to come."
After the babbling, she greatly missed his movement away from her. It was like missing another half of her. It just didn't fit the puzzle piece right.
A smile tugged at her own lips, the same line of thought playing through her head. He was a captain after all, and captains were known to marry when no priest were present. Her hands reached over to his, taking them in her hands even as he spoke. In a way, she couldn't not touch him in this moment.
"No matter how this war ends, no matter what sides there are. I, Fai...Mintaka promise to love you with all that I am, to love you for all of who you are. When life gets harder, when I come to choose my final days, I come to you. You are my best friend and lover, my rival and my goal. My other half, my soul. You are my heart. I give you my heart, in trade for yours. I love you so much Magiore..I love you so much Aurostibite. I will love you all the same when we are husband and wife." Her hands squeezed at his again, tearing up, "When everything is made to be broken, know that we will not be. I ove you." She repeated, "Will you take me to be your wife?"
Then she waited for him.

She was right about him never having lied to her; out of everything, out of years and moments that had made up their relationship, the one thing Aurostibite could say with absolute certainty was that he had never lied to Mintaka, or to Failyn. Sometimes the honesty had been brutal, back when he hadn't had the sense to know otherwise, but now it was a necessity; lying only led to more problems, and he could not do that with Mintaka.
Her voice washed over him, gentle and soft and filled with her own sort of passion that made his stomach twist, made his heart beat rapidly against his ribcage. Aurostibite could not stop the flow of emotion that was sent surging over him and he took a deep, steadying breath before answering.
"Mintaka," he said quietly, and his eyes were oddly bright. "I thought I would not ever have this in my life. I was never one to fall into the so-called silly whims or romantic notions that others fell easily to. I was stubborn. I was foolish, I was vain. I didn't want to have to burden myself with that sort of emotion."
He took a breath, and his voice broke a little. "You are not a burden, and you never have been. Eternal Sailor Mintaka, Failyn Namgung, I will take you to be my wife. You are everything to me; you are my life. Nothing else will ever compare to anything I am given, because I need nothing else but you for the rest of my life, for the rest of eternity. You are my heart and you are my soul. No matter what happens, my feelings for you will never change. As best friends, as lovers, as husband and wife, you and I will be forever connected."
His hands curled around hers, fingers gripping so tightly that it was obvious they were shaking. Aurostibite took a step closer towards Mintaka, his breathing quickening.
"Will you," he said, "take me to be your husband - "
But before the question was even fully finished, he'd already let go of her hands to grab her face, surge forward, and kiss her as though he'd been drowning and she was the air he needed to breathe, a shudder running through him.

Her head rose, meeting his kiss before she could even respond. Everything, Everything felt right. This was right. She felt like she was glowing with love, glowing with happiness.
"I take you to be my husband-" She said in between breaths, not satisfied with one crushing kiss, "I take you to be my husband forever, till death do us part, and beyond that." She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him again, laughing this time. "You are mine and I am yours, that is the promise we make to each other. That is the bond we have forged."
She finally let down, and seeing that her magic was no longer, powered down to Failyn's form, staring at him with her same blue eyes. "Tonight, will you let me stay with you Magiore? Will you take me home with you, just tonight?" She reached over, "I don't think I'll patrol tonight, I have a husband to spend time with while I can."
She laced her hands through his, "Take me home with you."

He could never get enough of her, even when they were together. His hands slid from her face, wrapped around her waist, pulled her against his chest even as he drowned in his overwhelming feelings, his mouth crushed against hers. Aurostibite could not have said where one began and the other ended, swallowing her laughter with another kiss, and then another, and another. His hands went under her behind and dragged her up so that her legs were forced to wrap around his waist, and he held her in place, refusing to let her go.
He felt her power down, and even as she pulled away, he was chasing after her, stumbling a few steps as he let her down again, dizzy with the adrenaline rush. His own glamour and power slipped away, and then they were not Aurostibite and Mintaka, but Magiore and Failyn, and he was greedy and selfish and demanding, and didn't want to let her go. It was dangerous to have her come back with him, but he could not think straight.
They were married now, and he didn't care that it was dangerous.
"We were married today," said Magiore breathlessly, and kissed her again, unable to stop himself. "It's our wedding night, after all."
And with that he had grabbed her in his arms, swept her up princess-style, and carried her off.

Her legs did wrap his and every kiss was stronger, meaningful. It was desperation and love and the need to express all she was and all he was together.
He joined her as Magiore, and still she kissed and loved and hugged and demanded. She didn't care if they would get caught in this moment, she didn't care that it was dangerous. She wanted one night, She wanted on night that was just theirs.
One night where it wasn't the fear.
"We are, yes you married us." She laughed, "A very special night for us." She squeaked as she was picked up and laughed again. Giddy, happy, blissful. Just one night with her love, her husband, and they'd be okay.
Tonight, she had him for the whole night and she would make sure to engrave herself with him.Kuroopu yes let's wrap these feels in a bundle.
