Even if he didn't think he needed to hear it, Maebe wasn't going to feel right about how good it felt to feel his hands on her body, until she said it. So she did, even as Cami leaned in to reach for the pillow to smother herself with. Her head turned towards Otto, lips mouthing out a soundless word against his, for just a breath of a moment. I'm sorry.Cami was starting to get the hint now, and Maebe turned back to her smothered girlfriend, running her hands through her hair to try and soothe her woes. "I think, sweetheart, that can be said about everybody in this room. The better question is, now that we know we're all being idiots," Her head turned back to Otto, brushing her lips against his. " What are we going to do about it." Maybe had a few ideas. Or just one.

Sometimes, Otto worried he was too honest with these girls lately. Times like these though? Maybe not enough. Maybe he needed to make his feelings known a little louder. Seriously Cami. He cried into a pillow and didn't let you touch him.
Silly, silly Cami. At least she got it now.
Maebe's silently pleasant apology melted what little bitterness was left in Otto. The teen's posture even became less rigid. Things felt better.
However, as she pressed her lips to his, and began uttering a suggestive question? Otto's bells were going off. Maebe was never subtle about wanting the three of them to have a go altogether at once.
He narrowed his eyes at her. "I love you, but if you're thinking what I think you're thinking..."

Now Cami was just frozen. She and Otto kept tip-toeing around how they felt about each other and apparently that was not going to work out for much longer. She was happy that Otto and Maebe had seemingly made up with the way they were snuggled into each other, lips and bodies touching in a way that only true intimacy would allow. It made her smile even as her heart hammered in her chest. "We're going to take a day off and go find a beach somewhere to have some fun?" That sounded like a great idea. Sun, sand, ocean water without tentacled beasts and zombie bodies crawling out of it? Paradise! She'd been raised in it, so of course, she was an expert. Cami sounded so hopeful it was pathetic.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, loverboy." Maebe growled, biting at his lower lip. "I'm sure you're thinking about much more than I'm thinking, which - while I should say I'm dying for - isn't what I had in mind." Neither was Cami's neutral, safe idea, either. She gave Cami a grin, and shook her head. "No, but I'm up for that any day of the week with you two. This is a little more specific." She leaned back again, her arm reaching out to wrap around Otto's neck while her back rested against him, and her eyes remained very firmly on her girlfriend. "Otto, when you told me you hated me, that hurt. A lot. And I believed it, for a while. But Cami convinced me that maybe, maybe you didn't mean it as much as I thought you did. So from where I'm seeing, you owe us both a little something. But I hurt you too, which means I owe you a little something, as well." She held her hand out, and pointed at Cami. "And you've been getting away with something that, in my opinion, I should be allowed a little taste of. So, if we're really going to be okay, then I think there's only one thing left to do." Maebe looked like the cat who'd just eaten the canary. "I think you guys should let me watch you two kiss. And, to make up for it, Otto should get to watch us kiss. And none of this is up for negotiation."

That was.... what sort of idea was this?
Otto, sporting Maebe as a new necklace of sorts, looked at Cami with a confused raise of his brow. How would watching them kiss make up for anything? He liked handling these two separately. The idea of performing in front of one of them, even over something as small as a kiss, was uncomfortable and unwanted.
But according to her, it was non negotiable.
'Um, I don't think I really need to see you two kiss."

Cami felt all in the wrong place for this. It wasn't that she minded Maebe seeing her kiss Otto it was just that she wasn't much feeling like kissing right now. Hugging the pillow tightly against her chest, glad for the excuse of feeling like an idiot for being oblivious to jealousy, she looked out Maebe's first-floor window. The view was different from down here. Interesting.Giving in to Maebe's demands was something Cami did almost naturally but giving in didn't feel like something she wanted to do today. For the first time she wanted to walk out of the room that held her two sweethearts so that she could take a walk. Clear her head. Figure out what she wanted and where to go from here. Instead she just looked up with eyes that belied her unhappy confusion and said, in a voice utterly unlike her in how emotionless it was: "Whatever you want, Maebe." Giving in was the easiest thing to do, anyway. She could kiss Otto, kiss Maebe, and then go about worrying about everything else. Maebe had asked to see a kiss. It didn't mean she was going to see an interesting one.

She was about to explain to Otto exactly how all of this would even out the scores for her, when Cami responded in a voice that sounded - well, it sounded a lot like hers. And something about that made Maebe sick to her stomach. "Forget it." She snapped out, no longer languid with interest. "Forget the entire idea. In fact, I think we're done here." She pulled herself up off of Otto, and leaned in to grab the skateboard from the wall. She turned and set it on his lap, before walking away from them both. "I'm glad we're not fighting anymore, but I really don't feel up to company at the moment." She opened her door, and held it for them. Her expression was harsh. Not emotionless. Just plain old harsh. "Thanks for stopping by."

Much like a turbulent river, Otto's mood rose and fell. He'd come here irritated. Transitioned to solemn, then to complacent. And now? Heavy and disjointed. Something was off between them all. Maybe they spent a little too much time with one another. For Maebe to get upset that Otto and Cami wouldn't do something for her, or that it was Cami's sudden shift in mood that did it for her. Cami so seldom allowed herself to be true to what she was feeling. Otto always had to remind her not to smile when she was not happy. Would she get punished for following that advice?
Maybe if he had a small break, for a couple of days, it'd help figure out the question of why and what he was feeling about all of this.
The skateboard was returned. A terribly awkward air filled the room. The teen rose, giving Cami a glance. She needed something. Maybe the usual hugs or pep talk. All Otto wanted to do was be alone. He decided then, that he'd allow himself some time alone.
Otto left the room quietly.

Would she be punished for letting her feelings show instead of smiling and grabbing Otto to press one on him? Yes. Absolutely yes. Maebe's face made something inside of her wrench and it was the dam that she'd been building across old memories, across old ideas that had been from Camille's life. Vanessa's voice floated out to her. 'No one wants to see you when you're not smiling, Camille. Smile. Always smile. Who wants to spend time with a woman who isn't happy?' Nobody, apparently. Even through that Cami considered staying where she was on the floor. Could Maebe move her, force her to get out? Not likely. Perhaps if she went to get a friend who was bigger than Cami was or if she found several friends of a comparable size. It was Maebe's choice, though, wasn't it? Standing the Sun intermediate placed the pillow back with care and walked out. "Please drink your water. It will help." Once out in the hall she jogged up to her shared dorm, not surprised to find it empty. Throwing essentials into a small bag it didn't take long for her to hit the lighthouse portal, shooting off two text messages before she did. Cami needed time and space to work her s**t out. She wasn't mad. She wasn't even sad. She just...was. Nio Love Text to Maebe:Back tomorrow. Let me know if you need me to pick something up. Drink your water. <3 Bittiface Text to Otto:Back tomorrow. Let me know if you need anything. <3
