The Oasis tent wasn't really any place for a young teen to be in, yet there he was, as usual, going around and having a chat with the war-weary soldiers of the Order. Some were less able to tolerate his presence, others knew him well enough from his constant visits. What started out as impromptu became almost routine, and it might not be too much of a push to say that he was expected by most, even welcome by some.

Urda always found distractions to be a good thing, anyhow, so once he got started he kind of just...didn't stop. He liked to think the activity provided as much distractions for him as it did for the patients.

The young senshi, and yes he was a full fledged senshi now, meandered about the tent, first peeking to see if the patient was awake before slipping in and attempting to distract them from the pains they were currently suffering. He'd been doing this all day after leaving Jasmyn with capable (and trustworthy) hands, and he was about ready to leave when he heard tidbits of an update on what's going on beyond the camp's borders. Grumblings and small arguments he had with Ashur came to mind -- his cousin never gave him as many details as he liked -- and in the end he followed the voices. He recognized the girl's, being that he was a constant visitor to the hospital set-up, though the one that had given the update wasn't too familiar.

He was led to a certain patient's room, one that he hadn't stopped in to visit earlier because it'd been empty, but he knew better than to just walk in. Not when Orah was about to go in and start doing her thing with the medicine and stuff. So he stood outside, behind the curtains and mostly out of the way, and just listened in, oblivious to whatever was actually going on inside and more just hoping for someone to say something about what was happening in the city and out in the field.

Kairatos opened his mouth to speak, shut it, and then just raised an eyebrow as he was scolded from multiple fronts. He supposed he might not deserve it, since he'd broken his own rule about sticking with a team, but... well... Deserving it didn't necessarily break through the human nature of not wanting to listen to it.

The expression was a brief window to the past, and once he might have courted a smack by rolling his eyes, but instead he just narrowed them a little before he started with Ida's chain of conversation.

"I'm not trying to save him, I'm trying to burn the thing puppeting his body off the face of the earth so whatever's left that was Alois can return to the Cauldron." This was... not entirely true. There was still a small, sad spark that hoped one day for some human qualities to creep back into Bishophite's face, even though he knew it was hopeless.
Maybe it was cruel to try and evoke memory of the first time Iris had tried to purify the half-youma, but he regretted tolerating calling that... thing Alois at this point.

"I'm fine with a little extra help, anything to get me back out the door faster. Goddamn sticky b*****d..." He sighed, impatiently, and added.

"Bishophite isn't Compact business." Which also wasn't necessarily quite true. "He's old business... Something I should have faced up to cleaning up a long time ago."

Seemed more fair to take it on himself. Quenton had been his lover, Ida was... Ida. She belonged here. Iris had enough pain. He could take this on.

Noting Chariklo's reaction, he added, for her benefit. "Themiscara is with me. I'd say she's the Dean Winchester to my Castiel..." Yep he'd caught the reference. "But.. Probably more the other way around." He might have been a Royal Knight, but she'd ascended. Something he'd never managed, but over the last five years, he had devoted more time here than to restoring Kairatos. Maybe he should start again... it would be painfully slow, but being able to use it as a point of retreat... there were fields there. It was... it wasn't here and that was important. Keeping people alive was surely more important than pissing off the eons dead if someone graffiti-ed an old mural of Bull Leaping.

Bohlinia ran though the woods to the west of the compound, the hospital set up had been strategically placed for it cover, the whole area guarded and manned by Senshi and Knights who hadn't had the chance to be wounded, killed or turned. It was like a never ending battle to see who had survived, a day without news that someone had been lost was rare, a day without bloodshed was even rarer and the air stank of the metallic tang, especially here so close to the hospital tents. Bohlinia jumped over discarded equipment too busted and broken to be any use now and the pile seemed to be growing daily. What the Negaverse didn't confiscate, even if it wasn't needed by them, left supplies wearing thin and in her arms were the measly items she had managed to grab and even these had seen better day but it would have to do.

Passing the wounded she opted to focus on the path just in front of her, the tunnel vision she was so use to using, if she dared to look at anyone too long she would start to cry and more and more the victims were underpowered individuals, those who deserved none of this. She didn't bother to say hello or even offer a sympathetic glance, there was no use for such pleasantries now, this was life and life was cruel.

She spotted the tent she needed to get too, the largest of the military tents they had managed to steal and use and by now they were little more than thread bared sheets but they did they job even if it was perfect. Slowly to a walk Bohlinia readjusted the supplies in her hand, she had more news from the towns, things that needed to be passed on to the resistance heads quickly but she could never not stop by and see Orah, they were family after all.

Walking in she surveyed the mix match group of powered forms and wounded soliders eying Chariko wearily but giving her a swift nod. If Orah trusted the Dark Mirror Senshi so would she, its not like the Princess hadn't proved herself in the past and being uneasy around her wouldnt hep matters. The resistance needed every abled body they could get she wouldnt be picky now. She also gave swift nods to Kairatos and Themiscara knowing them though sight rather than aquantace but her mind blanked them out as soon as she saw Orah, her cloths covered in the daily grime of this hospital life.

"Orah I..." She stuttered bufore continuing, she didnt know why but every time she saw her princess alive took her breath away. The years had been unkind to them both but Orah never gave up hope and Bohlinia would never leave her side for that fact alone. Yet the turmoil was written plainly on the older women's face. "Y-you look tired, when did you last sleep? Surely one of the others can take over for now?" She lowered her voice slightly although she could probably still be heard by others that listened closely. "We need you rested just in case, I cant have you collapsing from exhaustion if we ever need to move again." And that was not an if statement but a when, no matter how long they managed to hold in one area the Negaverse were always closing in.

A bustle of activity rushed through the door in the form of Themiscyra, a knight he was both familiar with and thankful for. Faust considered the pair a second Faust and Thraen, with her as the Faust around to talk reason to an obviously stubborn and idiotic Thraen. Rather than contribute to what he considered a fine berating, he simply sat back on his haunches and watched the show between two very fine pairs of legs.

A whisper of movement caught the cat's fine senses, cocking an ear in the direction of the disturbance. It sounded like someone stood on the other side, but Faust offered no recognition of it... yet.

Instead he listened to Kairatos tell his tale of personal heartache and other namby pamby shenanigans when listing off his reasoning for pursuing the youmafied general-king again. With a huff, Faust let his furry shoulders drop and offered an exasperated stare at the tar-stained blonde. "Bro, jus' kill 'im off already. Quit draggin' your feet about it. 'Sides, Quenton's been tryin' for ages, and you seen how he's lookin' lately? Dude lost an eye to the b*****d. Quit lettin' 'im walk around n' s**t." Quit pussyfooting around with your damn antics and finish the job.

Though, he figured, he hadn't said anything that Themiscyra didn't already cover at one point or another.

Bohlinia swept into the room in her own slightly disconcerted and entirely concerned fashion, drawing attention to the princess who now cared for Kairatos' wounds. While he agreed with Bohlinia's concerns, as an exhausted princess was of great danger to herself due to the sheer asset she provided to the resistance, he also understood the usefulness of her crystal power. "Chill out, Ladycakes. We'll put 'er to bed after she fires off another crystal power for the rest of the dumb bastards in this medical tent, 'aight?" The overly large cat stood abruptly, while his stumpy, curled tail sat high on his fluffy backside. Padding toward the bed, he leapt back up to sit between Kairatos' feet.

"Speakin' o' that, when you wanna get it done, Boss? Sometime after the jackass next door stops ********' around over there?" The cat half-asked, shooting a glare over his shoulder toward the source of the disturbance. With an unknown lurking, he found little reason to divulge his next mission to Chariklo.

"Cat I a covered in tar and I am not afraid to pet you. You wanna come along and tell me I'm slacking off next time you are welcome to. Or do I have to play a game of tic tac toe on my scars to remind you I take my fights seriously?" He griped. "I'm trying to kill him without dying. It's a mercy kill not a suicide pact."

The Damn cat was right though, the slippery (ha) b*****d needed a much wider net to tie him up in. He'd never do this on his own. Trying was a relic of bad habits. "Tell Thraen to come get me next time he goes after him. Maybe we can lure the little s**t out to play... if we spring a careful net... leave out some bait and then have the rest of us power up when we've got him where we want him."

That might work. Draw in the net tight and throttle the beast.

After all this time, talk about Alois was more a vague sadness than the crippling pain it had been at the time. It was hard to hold onto a one-sided love when the object of your affects was neck deep in the death and destruction of your kind while you were elbows deep in the gore of the aftermath. It was the past and she'd buried it in her transcendence. What was left was a very sticky, beat up Knight needing a nurse and Orah set to again with a will, letting the conversations flow around her while she used oil and cloth to pull the tar from Kairatos's thick arms. When Cruithne offered her magic, Orah waved a sticky hand.

"I think he'll be okay, he's certainly feisty enough. There are others with worse that would benefit more. In fact, there is a senshi in the number 30 bed that's had a bad torso puncture... she needs all the magical help we can get her." She said as a scarred up female knight stormed into the remaining free space around the cot. The young woman blinked benignly at the tirade, but as it wasn't directed at her, she let it slide entirely over her head the way she did most things these days, maintaining a calm serenity she hoped would benefit the patients more than frazzled worry. A smile ghosted over her face as she lifted a hand in greeting. "You're welcome, Themiscyra." She said as she worked on unperturbed.

It wasn't until the arrival of a familiar teal-haired 'sister' that Orah's serenity broke and she took on a suddenly suspiciously guilty face, ducking her head as she focused on her task. Her lips thinned at the sudden concern being pushed at her from Bohlinia and her scrubbing was perhaps a bit rougher than it had been before. At least Faust had some note of confidence in her, despite the patronizing suggestion of tucking her into bed.

"I'm fine, Lexi." She said, her voice lowered. "I'm eating regular meals and sleeping full nights, I promise. There aren't enough hands for me to take off just because I look a little tired..." The dark-haired woman said, skirting around the real truth with half-truths. "I still need to check on the senshi in thirty and then I need to crystal. I promise I'll rest after that. You okay with hanging around that long, Faust?"

Maybe she could convince the guardian to come along with her... it would be nice to have something warm to cuddle with... and he was as tired as she was. Orah blinked again when Faust called out to someone she couldn't see and she sighed softly, wondering if it was worth it to chastise him for causing a ruckus when patients were trying to rest. In one ear and out the other would probably be the result.

Looking from one Knight to the other, Chariklo gave a little shrug and stood back. At the moment, this had nothing to do with her. She kept a carefully neutral expression on her face and did her best to look everywhere but at the knights.

At least until the arrival of Bohlinia. She gave the teal-haired girl a polite nod and would have gone back to trying to impersonate the tent wall had she not caught the girl's words. And Ida's own expression of guilt. She listened to Faust offer up his assurances that she'd rest soon and shook her head. It might not be her place, but she'd be damned if she didn't add her two cents.

"If you don't eat and get some sleep, I will happily thump you over the head, girlfriend," she said sweetly. "Or sit on you until you behave."

Reaching out, she laid a gentle hand on Ida's shoulder and smiled sympathetically.

"Gonna be hard to help anyone if you fall on your nose from exhaustion, babe."

------------

"Bed 30," Cruithne finished pulling on gloves and gave a sharp nod. "Got it."

She gave Ida a smile, waved cheerfully at Faust and Kairatos and scurried off, counting beds as she went. Once she reached it, she smiled down at the senshi laying on it and sat down on a camp stool beside the bed.

"Hello! My name is Cruithne and I will be assisting you today. Please, if I hurt you, let me know! I'll be as careful as possible."

Pulling back the sheet and the bandage dressing the wound, Cruithne felt tears prickle her eyes. She didn't think her magic could heal it fully, but she could definitely do this poor thing some good. Closing her eyes and clasping her hands, she whispered, "Lavender's Sweet Strength!"

As the familiar lavender scented smoke appeared, Cruithne touched her fingertips to her lips and then carefully moved to touch the wounded senshi. As she worked, she could feel her own strength flowing from her and into the injured senshi. But that was all right. Already some of the lines of pain in their face were fading.

All she had to do was hold firm a little longer. Smiling, she looked down into the senshi's eyes and murmured reassurances.

"Don't worry. You're going to be just fine."

Bohlinia grimaced at Fausts words, not that she was unaccustomed to being call "Ladycakes" but that she knew he was right, Orah was the only thing stopping these people from dying and when she used the crystal's power she could remove the more fortunate from the many needed beds. One cast of her crystal could help take the edge of fatal injuries curing those that could be back on to the front line and she hated that fact. No sooner had they arrived here than they were being sent out for more injuries or worse, it sometimes passed her mind that she hoped their wounds were bad enough for just a few more days rest if nothing else.

When Orah took no heed of her words the flower Senshi visibly sunk, her hand that had gone to rest on Orah shoulder falling back down to her side in defeat as she watched her friend dismiss her concerns. Biting her tongue from saying something worse she shook her head knowing she wouldn't listen anyway, not until everyone was healed and that never happened.
"If you looked just a little tired Orah I never would have said it, I know what you need to do here, for everyone." She looked away towards some beds, the distinct lack of movement from some making her stomach turn and she returned to to watch Orah wash her hands with gusto.
"But...i will never stop trying to make sure your ok..." It was safe to say Bohlinia was no longer the hyperactive, strange kid Ida had rescued, she was 22 now and what some could call a veteran in this war, but many gained that title if they had managed to survive the last year or so. Still when she looked upon her friend she couldnt help but see her as that girl who help her though so much, it was hard to separate her from the Princess that would do anything for these people at the risk of her own health.

Looking towards Faust, although she knew he would do his own thing rather than listen to an order from her, she felt it best for at least someone to be keeping an eye on the Princess and with Chariko's words helping support her idea she knew maybe Orah would actually listen.

"If you could see to it that she does Faust I would be grateful...I, I brought you more supplies anyway, the pharmacy on fifth was burnt down last night so if you need anymore antibiotics anytime soon we have to venture further into the red zone, I will need take others with me...I'll make a announcement later for anyone who is willing to come along."

She made to walk back out noticing the commotion Faust was making over Urda her mind so addled from running all night that she didnt even hear the kid come in.

"Speaking of... how are the cats holding up trying to cover that little mushroom cloud of good vibes?" Kairatos asked, looking to Faust instead of Ida for the answer. The healing energies were fantastic for the wounded, but he'd seen Iris's crystal at work, and could only struggle to imagine how difficult it would be for the cats to dampen that, as well as the Guard. Fast healing would only do so much if they had to move everyone fast, and doing it with an exhausted princess wouldn't be any easier, even with helpers like Bohlinia.

Faust nodded toward the concerned Lexi, already in agreement for the limitations she stressed for the young princess. "Ain't no problem for me. Yo Orah, I'm gonna grab Bird Brain and fill 'er in on the next mission, since she's so damn excited about it. I'll be back in ten. And Bullhead, don'chu worry 'bout goin' after 'im alone next time - I'll give Thraen a heads up next time I see 'im." Having bade his farewells, Faust leapt off the bed and lighted on the ground with a slight wince as he pressured a previously broken and long since mended injury.

"Oh, and about those cats... Lemme tell you, it's like tryin' to cover an elephant with a baby blanket. s**t's goddamn hard on 'em, but it's worth it. Still, you can't imagine how goddamn exhausting it gets." Nevertheless, he appreciated the princess's interest in spreading her magic for the benefit of those laid out from the war.

"'Aight, Chariklo, we got some s**t to talk about. C'mon back to an empty bed and I'll give you the lowdown." The fluffy guardian then padded down the cloth-covered dirt, heading toward a bed now standing empty and waiting for its next occupant. Luckily someone changed the sheets already, so the Mauvian took full advantage of sitting on a clean bed for purposes of a debriefing.

The crestfallen look Lexi got tugged at Orah's heart and she put down the gauze in her hands to strip off her gloves with quick motions. Moving towards her sister senshi, the nurse felt a hand fall to her shoulder and she reached up to squeeze it in passing, giving Chariklo a small smile of thanks. She knew they all meant well, and she was trying to take care of herself, but there was always so much to do, so many who needed help. It was hard to take the rest they all thought she should have when all she could think about was what was left undone.

Slipping between the gathered bodies, she caught Lexi before she could really leave and wrapped bare brown arms around her, hugging her tightly as she pressed a kiss to her cheek, next to the corner of her mouth. "I'm sorry, I know you worry." Orah said softly, just for her sister's ears. "I promise, I really am sleeping and eating the right amount. I'm really happy that you care enough to worry about me..."

Pulling back, the young woman ran her hands down Lexi's arms to squeeze her hands, giving her a small smile. "Why don't you come around later and we'll get dinner together, ok? After I get off my shift and have myself a nap. If you've brought supplies, you should go drop those off at the supply tent, get them inventoried."

Glancing back, Orah nodded as Faust pulled Chariklo aside, waving fingers at him to acknowledge he'd be back. "I'm almost done with Kairatos and then we can kick him out of our bed so we can put someone with actual need in it." She said with a playful look. "After that, I'll go check on Cruithne and that hurt senshi."

Was that directed at him? Had to be. No one else was around and it sounded like someone -- now that he heard the voice a bit clearer it did actually sound vaguely familiar -- had directed the jackass comment at him. What the hell did he do?!

Urda pondered that a beat, being careful to keep an ear out for any other updates to the outside world as he did. Other than listening in, and harmlessly he might add, he wasn't doing anything to really disturb them, right? He wanted to help, as he always did, and was curious about the war. He was a senshi, too, even if his cousin was still treating him like a child. He had half a mind to pop right out and tell of whoever-it-was right then, but after a deep calming breath thought better of it. Not only was he surrounded by senior members of the Resistance, but Themiscyra wasn't one to mince words and she could certainly lecture his ear off if he wasn't careful.

So he bit his tongue and shuffled his feet, pretending as though he hadn't heard a thing. Whoever-it-was seemed content with that arrangement and was all set to move right along with sharing his plans. Now that sounded like something he might want to hear, though he did intend to be a bit more careful not to be heard this time.

Urda watched as a set of black paws headed off toward a recently emptied bed and followed from the sidelines, hoping to stay out of sight. He positioned himself in such a way that he could still kind of hear what was going on in the room with Orah and the others, but his focus was more on the cat and the one that he intended to speak with.

Giving Ida's shoulder a final pat and nodding pleasantly to Bohlinia, Chariklo moving quickly to follow Faust. She waved her fingers in a sketchy salute to the two Mars knights, murmuring to Kairatos as she passed by, "Hope y'feel better soon, dude. That tar's a b***h."

Following the cat to an empty bed, she could only sigh as as he jumped up and plunked himself down on the clean sheets.

"You're just going to make them have to wash those again, y'know. They aren't going to want to put injured folks down on a bed covered in cat hair. Even cat hair as magnificent as yours."

Grinning to take any sting from her words, she took a spot nearby and sat down herself, reaching out to brush Faust's side with her hand. Okay, so she did actually sort of like the cat. If nothing else, he was the only one capable of out-sassing her. Had to respect that.

"Oh, and purely for informational purposes, I'll sit on you too if you try to overdo it, Fuzzbutt. We can't afford to lose you either. So," she went on in a brisk voice. "How may my humble self help y'all out?"

----------

From where she sat at Bed 30, Cruithne's magic was winding down. It pained her that she couldn't cause the terrible wound to fully heal, but she was pleased to note that the skin around the area seemed a little less feverish. Well, she thought philosophically, every bit helps. Getting up to go grab a sponge and some clean water, she quickly came back and began to clean the wound. She wanted to bandage it back up, but refrained for now, knowing that Ida would want to check on her work. Instead, she grabbed a new sponge, tossed out the bloodied water, refilled the bowl and began to work on cleaning up the senshi's face.

"I'm done, whenever you're ready, Ida," she called out. In truth, she could have done her magic a second time, but her Eternal 'attack' always took so much out of her. It would hardly be helpful if she turned herself into another of Ida's patients.

Lexi was more than distracted when Orah came to place her hands around her, the hug was unexpected drawing an intake of breath before she let herself relax, leaning into Orah gently as the blissful moment took her away from this sea of turmoil. She hated being frustrated at her, Orah was older and wiser and a Princess to boot and Lexi couldn't even grasp the bond to transcend with her planet. She had always looked up to the older girl as a friend, teacher and idol but she was also so much more than that, more than Lexi could admit to herself let alone the person that stood before her. So with a smile she shook her head, dismissing what had been said as if it was nothing at all.
"I should stop hen pecking you, its not like you don't have enough to deal with when am not around...still." She squeezed her hand back in response, a soft smile dancing on her lips. "Dinner sounds wonderful Orah, I will see you later..." She let go of her hands, lingering just for a second too long on her finger tips before letting them drop back to Orah's side, she nodded to the others before gathering up the supplies she had gained and venturing out to the supply tent. It wasn't difficult to reach but the mass of people had been growing steadily since she'd arrived and the available ground was quickly being taken up by the wounded. Her tunnel vision came back on and she jogged towards her destination

~*~

After the supplies were accounted for she approached the hospitals notice board, two long pillars of wood were dug into the ground and were surrounded by a sort of staging area. It had been used in the past as a make do meeting area but now it was used to update everyone regarding the condition of the "outside world". The notice board itself was once covered in the photos of missing loved ones but now they were ripped and shredded and in there places sat more urgent messages for all to read and Bohlinia was about to add one more thing to the pile. Pulling out a scrap of paper she wrote her message in bold lettering. She could only hope there would be somebody willing to volunteer when she next had to make a run.

Quote:
URGENT NOTICE

ANY ABLE BODIED VOLUNTEERS WILLING TO ASSIST IN THE NEXT SUPPLY RUN REPORT TO ETERNAL SAILOR BOHLINIA AT THE SUPPLY TENT AT 20:00 HOURS.

She stood back to read her message and with a satisfied nod placed the final pin in its corner.

It'd been impossible to not notice how the Dark Mirror Senshi had responded to her, but Themiscyra had quickly opted to ignore them in favor of not starting any further hostilities. Not her domain, not her domain, not her domain--it was the mantra that chimed off in her brain as she focused on what in that tent actually was her chief concern.

Her scowl returned as she lifted a brow to Kairatos' response, straightening to her full nearly six-foot height--a little boost given by her footwear--to stare pointedly down at the man. "You are Compact business, and you're most certainly my business." She knew he was stubborn. He wasn't the Bull of Mars for nothing. Which meant she was more than versed in how often she had to slam concepts into his skull. Maybe one day one or two of her words would sink in if she smashed them against his head hard enough. Her voice managed to soften as she added, thumbing to Orah, "And man, I ain't an angel. She's the one with the white wings and healing you." Yes she understood his reference, loosely, but fell silent as conversations continued to flow around them bit by bit, crossing her arms as she took things in. Besides. He was the one with the crystal sword that could help purify people. She'd just... fallen too far back into memories. Fell hard for a city on another world. Not that she was complaining, she just wasn't sure his reference was perfectly placed.

Perhaps she should have felt awkward just standing around in the tent, but her own scrapes and bruises were nothing that needed more than her own minimal medical attention, and she wasn't in the biggest of hurries to head back to the little place she called home. All of the conversation around the Princess overexerting herself though did have her keeping a gentle eye on Orah before she asked, "I've only got basic first aid under my belt, but if you need an extra pair of hands..?" Her biggest assistance would only be in bandaging--though she could do stitches, steady hands from years of practice on clothing she supposed--but it didn't feel right to loiter around without seeing if she could be of help somehow.

Glancing around at what she could see of the various occupants of beds around them, it didn't take her long to notice an extremely familiar dark-haired teen scooting towards where Faust and the older Dark Mirror had gone. She lifted a brow to Urda, weighing her options warily. It was hard to not consider Ashur's younger cousin family of her own--especially given the circumstances. These weren't exactly times where she felt hiding certain information from the younger powered people was especially necessary, yet... for now she held her tongue, but moved to where she could more directly look at the young senshi. Preferably, to try and catch his eye. She didn't know what Faust wanted to speak to the Dark Mirror about, but the hell'd she let the kid pursue anything.
