Do you mind? The question made him blink into focus: trying to blow smoke away from her, the other side of the room. The smell was strong all the same -- strong and pungent and these were cheap cigarettes with cheap filters. There was only so much he could do. But maybe, just maybe, it was the trying that counted -- The question made him blink into focus, his head cocked to the side and expression somewhat puzzled. Obviously, from that expression, he hadn't: anyone who had would have understood what she meant immediately. But still, he dug a bit, trying to work out what it meant and how to answer... "Is that a metaphor for something?" Ever shook his head, just a little. "Wonderland? Like Lewis Carroll? I've read it..."

Cartoon V.S. AnimeEver let Shu go on for a while: his expression tuning out, slowly, but hopefully Shu was so involved in her list making and documentation that she wouldn't even notice. He made faint, agreeing noises, an old habit that he clung to, eyes turned up toward the ceiling as she went on. Eventually, she paused, and he'd recognize the break. He came back into focus to peer down at the computer screen, head cocked to one side. All that, and he had nothing to say about anime or cartoons. Instead he raised his eyebrows. "You should definitely be in life division."

Gay SwimmingWhy is he looking at her like that? The girl didn't figure out what she said was the mistake, the puzzled expression revealed on her face showed that. Was that what she got when she wanna have a little fun and being naughty? Gay ones? Gay one? Who are the gay ones? Shu 's guess was Ever like them being paired up, the Asian girl didn't have repulsion over same-sex relationship, it was just a form of love, she wasn't that narrow-minded person. "I like Rei, he's stupidly cute and diligent. He looks great in that pair of glasses!" She suggested happily. "Oh-But it's some sort of comedy, and it's about the spirit of youth, so they should be sparkly, kira~kira~, enthusiastic, shiny, they are high school students. After all, it's has the bright sensation of summer." It was hard to explain the concept of Seishun in English, spirit was the closest word that she knew - The coolness of the water as well as the energy and sweat of the summer. The best she could do were some gestures as she talked, she liked how the anime interpreted the school life, so meaningful and fun. However, she knew anime isn't reality, so she made a light short sigh. "What's your type then?" Another unexpected question ran out her mouth obliviously, if they could see the natural form of a weapon, they will see a beast doing a face-palming action.

Do you mind?Considerate was what he got from the girl, it sparkled above Ever's head like a banner, but only Shu could see that. She never judge a person just by their impressions on twitter. As she said, it was like an information exchange platform as well as a place to relax, give vent to. It didn't account much for the profile for personal record. She blinked as she read his endeavor, he tried so hard. "A yes and no." She smiled as a reply, waited for a few seconds enough to raise Ever's full attention. "It wasn't a metaphor but it did take heavy relevance with that awesome series!" She adjusted to a more relaxed position. "It was something happened to us, some of the hunters. Do you wanna listen? It would be quite a long story." It would be a nice break for their eyes after watching a few anime.

Cartoon V.S. Anime"W-What? I don't have intention to change my division." She looked at him with widened eyes, they were like two round clear honey amber gems shining. "Nonono, I won't fit Life division. Let me show you the reasons. One -" She raise a finger, "I love my current division and we have the best division lead!" Another finger was up. "Next, Life division is for smart and clever people as I know, the capacity of my brain here", she pointed to her head. "was way too small compared to those genius." The third finger never raise up. "And I am not well-educated, only finished the compulsory years before I quit school...." It was a shame. She played with her fingers and didn't continue.

Gay SwimmingHowever she meant it, it wasn't how Ever took it. 'What's your type' was a familiar sort of question for him, with an association that had nothing to do with anime: it was a question that usually got eye rolls, but out of Shu, it made his eyebrows raise and a smile flash across his mouth. "My type?" A pause. Usually his answer was crude enough to be annoying, but in this moment, he worked to keep it down. "Usually older. Taller, hard as that is, but I'll take broader through the shoulders if I can get it." He strummed fingers against his leg and bit down on the whys because explaining to virginal girls how you liked it in bed was even a bit much for him. "Smart guys, when I can, which means teachers and doctors. And green eyes." But then he paused, flashing her a smile. "But whatever I can get, in the meantime, right?"

Do you Mind?"...sure." He didn't sound sure, but. Ever scratched at an eyebrow and moved to close the laptop, because it was hard to fully focus on a conversation with the show going on in the background. He wasn't equipped for the kind of multi-tasking it took to just tune out the noise of it. "Was it kind of like the tower?"

Gay Swimming"Hmm, hmm." She nodded, clueless of how wrong her question could be. The Asian imagined Ever's descriptions and matches with the characters in the anime. Hmm. Hmm.......Teacher? Doctor?!Shu had her eyes rolling and rolling, there was....something - not right. The mystery was solved just when she was pondering, thinking so hard at a dead end. Meantime? MEANTIME? She knew where it went to, she was - asking about boys in anime while the hunter was talking about - boys in reality! What should she answer? The blush suddenly bloomed on her was hard to hide, yet, she didn't want Ever to find out the stupid joke she made. Trying to think about something else to distract herself from the shame, she took good notes on the criteria the hunter said and reminded her to keep an eye for him. That was why she was oblivious of what escaped her mouth again - "Hmm, tall, older and smart - some hunters surely fit that - the problem might be green eyes, some of us wear contact lenses you know right? So is your ideal type the one with genuine green eyes or you're okay with guys wearing green contacts?" She was pondering as she asked with a quite serious face, just like a student trying to figure out the solution to a mathematics equation.

Do you Mind?"The tower?" There was a paused for processing. "Oh, you mean the class A mission? The one we were sent to Sahara and tracking Medea?" There was a flash of dimness across her amber eyes, it disappeared with the blink. "Hmm....somehow? As I know - Artifact was involved but there was no direct horseman interference. It was like we, I heard some Halloweeners and horsemen too, were invited to a collective dream." Shu moved her head left and right as she thought. "Hmm, have you played any MMORPG games before? If you did, the dream was exactly like that, players, i.e. us had a goal to achieve and we were given quests so that we could level up and open new maps." She beamed for the memories, both from the wonderful dream and the years she played online games.

Ever couldn't help but grin back at Shu, his own sharp and amused -- not embarrassed in the slightest, nor put out by her scientific analysis.
"Shu, there's a difference between your ideal type, and what you'll take." He tried for a serious tone, but the smile crept into it. "I'll take whatever I can get."

Explanation"Nonono, it's not MMOREG, it's MMORPG, stands for - Massively...Multiplayer-Online-Role-Playing Game, I guess...." The girl looked up at the far ceiling corner. "Hmm, it seems that Mr. Ever doesn't know it then. Ok. In short, RPG games are games that players assume the role of a virtual character - e.g. a wizard in the Hogwarts in Harry Potter, the background of your character is set by the game already but you are responsible for their actions. Can you follow so far? Am I too fast?" She paused to confirm. "Good then! For fantasy game setting, at beginning you have to choose your class. In the dream, I picked White Rabbit for myself. To level up your character, you need to complete quests given and so on. Back to the topic - the massively multiplayer online part; it means not only you are playing this game, but people all over the world can play with you at the same time. For instance, there are single-player based game like your dream and my dream, everything is private and individual in sense. However, for MMO, it's multiple players playing the same game, in that case, you and me share the same dream. That was why I said the dream is like a MMORPG." She turned to stare at Ever, finding hints of response from his face. "Now you know what's MMORPG, I think I can continue?" She tilted her head with a smile, grabbing something from the pocket. "So I knew I was dreaming, but then what happened was exactly like the "down the rabbit hole" part up to the drink me bottle part-" It might be a bit hard to follow for people not know the series well, hope the hunter did. "-after drinking the bottle, everything black out. When I regained my conscious, I was at the "creating stage" of the Wonderland collective game. An AI dressed like Alice asked me about username and job class, then my character was created! She looked like me, but more like a marionette." She started to doodle on the notebook she picked out to aid with her story, first a hole formed by many circle strokes and a down arrow above, then a bottle with a tag of "drink me" followed by a black silhouette with blonde twin tail and blue apron dress and finally a girly figure with a pair of dark colored rabbit ears and twin tail in black, shaded with diagonal lines for indication. "Then, I was sent to the first map - Tulgey Woods and received my first main quest, ah, I was told that I need to level up to reach the new maps and our final mission was to defeat the queen of opposite side in the final castle map. In other words, as a white queen representative, I was asked to defeat the red queen." A castle was drawn, covered by rose thorns. "Because it was a dream and I found it interesting, so I allowed myself to make friends with other characters, finish the quests to level up and fight the monsters in the dungeons." "Can I have a glass of water?" She stopped and requested.

Gay Swimming"I don't understand, Mr. Ever. You mean you will take a boyfriend that's not your ideal type? Is that because that person might not like you? Did you have some sad history?" The petite girl had her brows slightly creased together and touched the hunter's arm gently with a earnest face, like when a cat or dog gave you a paw when you are upset.

ExplanationHe'd get her the water, at least: slowly, his eyebrows knitted together, lost in a sea of words -- which, honestly, made almost no sense to someone who'd never played an MMO. Something about quests, which to Ever summoned up visions of King Arthur's endless search for the grail. Marionettes and maps, and he looked totally lost as he held a cup out to her, not sitting back down. "You lost me. Don't worry about it. If it was anything like the tower, I get the idea." Of course, wonderland kind of hadn't been, but Ever didn't know that. "Do you want to do this again sometime?"
