Jerry's appearance had been, simultaneously, a shock, a relief, and a pleasant surprise. A grin was plastered on her face as she watched him giving his proposal, nervously. Not that he needed to be nervous, she happened to know for a fact that America was proposing the same, if not similar, plan to Edith at the moon meeting, and if Allan didn't okay it, Jerry could always just lend a hand to her later. It had seemed, as far as Peyton could tell, to be something that quite a few Hunters were in favor of. When he finished, stepping back, he would find a very small blonde right behind him, and when he turned, she'd throw thin arms around him in a tight hug. "Jerry!" It didn't matter that they'd never been especially close. It didn't matter that she hadn't seen him for ages. He was a Sun, he had been there since the beginning, he'd helped wake her up, and he tried so hard to be nice and welcoming to everyone. Tiny dispute with the guitar not withstanding.. And maybe. Just maybe. Peyton was projecting a little. Gnat and Heidi were still off wherever they'd been sent. Tuck seemed to have vanished again. The old faces she was used to were just not there. "You've been gone forever! How are you?" Letting him go, she stepped back, beaming up at him.

The wedding was going ahead, then. Jordan didn't know what he felt, but that news had certainly cracked his calm and his readiness to speak; he hung back, composing himself and making sure his voice and his face weren't going to betray any hint of agitation. Whatever he felt, it wasn't anyone else's goddamn business. When Jerry had finished speaking, Jordan stepped up. "I'm Jordan, some of you might know me," he said, putting on a faint smile. "My charm point - " what the hell, Allan, " - is my amazing hair" It wasn't particularly amazing at the moment. He was between trims and he hadn't gotten a chance to dye it since it had been burned, but it was easier to be a little sarcastic about this than try to think up a genuine good quality on the fly. "I'd like to lend a hand in building the training courses Bix and Otto mentioned, and put together a training course designed to encourage situational planning. I'd also like to organize a more regular basic overview of weapons abilities for new trainees, get newbies familiar with their partners and aware of their capabilities so they can work together more smoothly while training." He nodded to Allan, then stepped back to let someone else speak. The he sidled over to Jerry and slapped the taller man's shoulder. "Welcome back, dude," he said quietly.

The sudden hug from Peyton took Jerry off guard, his face flushing behind what remained of his jungle-grown mop of hair and scars. Sure, he remembered her plenty, but such a warm greeting was not anything he had expected, "It's... it's good to be back!" he managed to squeak. "I've been worse, ahahaha," He managed to give the petite Sun girl a one-armed hug back, and nearly dropped his papers as Jordan's slap came to his shoulder. His expression turned bright once he saw who it was, though, beaming in excitement to his dear friend, "Jordan! Oh, Goodness, congratulations!" Without shooing Peyton away, (He was very glad for the warm receptions, he had expected groans and avoidance, honestly,) he threw his free arm around his friend in a tight hug.

Jordan jumped a little at the sudden hug, then looked blank for just a moment as he was congratulated. Then he realized what Jerry meant, and his mouth pulled down in a sharp, quick shock of hurt, his eyes going starkly sad before he got his expression back under control. Of course Jerry hadn't heard and would draw the natural conclusion, given the information he had. "I'm not involved," he answered in a low voice. "I'll tell you later."

Rep had been about to welcome Jerry back to the world of the living when there was a sudden outbreak of the awkwards and he did a very prompt heel turn and busied himself with a watermelon which of course he'd been going to get at first, not that whole socializing thing, no sir.

The one armed hug was met with a pat on Jerry's hand before he let hr go, and she blinked when he jumped before linking past his shoulder at Jordan. "Hey Jordan." Oh and then Jerry did a very Jerry thing, and Peyton couldn't help but wince. "Ah." Not her place to explain. Nope. Instead she pressed her lips down into a thin line, heart giving a soft pang at the look on Jordan's face. It had just gone from mildly, normal levels of Jerry awkward, and skyrocketed. Not entirely sure what to do, the daintiest Sun slipped around so she could stand beside the both of them, a comforting hand finding Jordan's arm, along with softly sympathetic look.

"You're not...?" There was several grueling minutes of Jerry's jungle-battered brain to process this subtle hint, and thank god for everyone involved, things finally clicked into place, punctuated by that slip of Jordan's usually carefully guarded expressions- there was no hiding that look in his eyes.
"Oh," He breathed, glancing to Peyton and her polite shuffling, "I didn't... I'm sorry," He didn't let go of Jordan, his hand gripping the shorter man's arm tightly for a moment before finally sliding free. "I'm sorry," He repeated, looking increasingly anxious.
Just how much had he missed while he was away? The ground splitting, apparently. At least figuratively.

"It's okay, no way for you to know." Jordan offered a small, rueful smile. "Good to see you around again." I don't want to talk about it now radiated from him. Peyton got a quick, grateful glance for her sympathy.

Zachary was dressed in an open button down shirt, blue with tropical patterns down it, primarily geometric ‘noise’ rather than the sometimes-abused flowers and leaves. He wore khaki shorts and a pair of loose tied sneakers. Little more was of note save for the collection of bracelets around his wrists and the bone fishhook, unless you were profoundly interested in the tattoos that could be seen over both hips.
“Uh… Hey, Kia Ora, My name is Zachary, or Zac… Zed if you like it. I’m new here; I haven’t a damn clue what half of what you said is so ah, I’m going to wing it as best I can eh? I will ah, I’ll do my best to be a good sun hunter with all of you. I uh…I can swim? I guess that’s a good thing since I can surf too?
I don’t know that I have any kind of special charm… but I can tattoo? So… I guess I’ll have to work on a division goal unless you need something a bit ah, different like Identifying marks or something, which isn’t very cheery I guess.”
“I’d be happy if anyone can take the time to spar with me so I can learn my weapon better, I’d appreciate that.”

Peyton wasn't looking for an excuse to slip away from the awkwardness that had come crashing down around Jerry, but when one presented itself, well... "Hiya." A bright greeting was offered up to the new Sun as Peyton made her way over to him. She wasn't sure why, though she suspected Astrid had a lot to do with it, but she had a habit of collecting newbies, taking the under her wing as best she could. "Welcome to Sun, and welcome to Deus Ex, also. I'm Pey." A hand was offered out. "I'm always up for a spar, though I'm also available for pretty much anything else you might need."

“Oh, Hey! Please to meet you!” He said and offered back a hand in greeting. “I appreciate that, thank you!” He added a nod with his thanks as though to lend it more gravitas. “I got to admit, I don’t know what all I need yet, I’m pretty fresh out of the ah, pod things. I got a good bit of my tools though if you really want a tattoo, we an go over what I will and won’t do if that ever strikes your fancy eh?” he grinned and rolled his shoulders in something like a shrug. “Where you from if it’s alright to ask? I’m from New Zeland myself.”

Rep was face deep in a slice of watermelon - which he'd had to summon Tracey to cut when he heard the magic word tattoo. If he could have perked his ears he would have and was exceptionally glad for the diversion from the awkwardness - which was his fault.
He got up to wander over, critical hand on his hip and given that he'd decided to wear only denims that day, displaying a huge proportion of his existing tattoos. "But how good ur ye?" he asked, narrowing his eyes critically. "Any prison inmate can hold a tattoo gun."

Her shoulders gave a shift at the mention of tattoos, as if she could feel the one resting between the blades. "I just got one not too long ago, so I'm not in the market for a new one just yet." She turned so he could see the combination Sun and Moon, along with the fancy gold fish beneath it. "If I do, you'll be who I talk to though." Her head cocked a little to the side when he asked where she was from and offered up his his own birthplace. The accent made sense now. "Me? Oh, I'm originally from Oregon, United States. Though I moved all over the country before coming here." A thin brow drifted up as Rep wandered over, and she waited for something awful to fall out of his mouth, and just smiled mildly when no such thing happened.

Rep certainly got a once over, head to toe and lingering on the tattoos with a studious look, a practiced interest for a style he admittedly had less practice with. “Na mate, I didn’t bring a tattoo gun with me… I’m most practiced in… well, Get me an orange, or better a good bit of pig skin, and I can show you. Otheriwse… most of my practice was learning this… He shifted his shirt to show off his shoulder. Curves and lines made an elaborate blue black design. “I’ve done stuff like this, for other people. Different mind you, no Moko for you, but I can do Kirituhi, I have my grandfather’s tools, and some from my uncle. “What were you after?” He asked after a moment, I could tell you if I can do it, if you tell me what you want. Think we might be a bit limited for inks here mind you. I was learning more western stuff, I’m just not sure I could do things like…half tones without an electric set up. He glanced back to Peyton and gave a slightly more on edge grin than he might have before. Half expecting something a lot more ‘prison’ to happen since he’d just been told about young ladies being murdered in their rooms as well. Not that he was planning on mentioning that in the middle of a meeting. “I’d love to to talk more ink with you one day... if that’s alright by you, afraid I can’t show a good bit of mine off in return though, not in good company.” He laughed at that bit of shared information.

"We could probably get you a tattoo gun if it was going to be a community service." Rep said, a genuine grin spreading across his features, the hostility that had been written in every line of his body only moments before nowhere to be found. "Like I said, I'm opening a bar, I wouldn't mind having a tattooist nearby and helping out if I'd get some free ink." The guy checked out in terms of at least knowing his terminology. "I've no gotten many more since I got here since I can't go back to my usual guy in Scotland. It's a ********' shame too. I wanted my legs done and more besides. Kirituhi s**t is amazing, most of my tribals are flat still. I'd be very interested."
His enthusiasm bled through because he couldn't help it, he was very fond of tattoos and given half a chance would wear nothing but.
"Nice to meet you man." he said, and extended a muscled arm for a handshake. "Like I said up there, I'm Rep."
