Unable to resist the pull of a good celebration, the Faun Brewmaster quietly explored the festivities and partook of the local delicacies. After tipping back a bottle of something the booth vendor called a 'soda', Mojo stopped in his tracks. Ahead of him was something familiar, that he'd never think to see ever again. A genie.
"We meet again," he muttered, strengthening his stance. He lowered his gaze and held his staff at arms length to his side. A light breeze sent a small tumbleweed between the fox-faun and the carnival genie booth. Somewhere in the distance was a faint caw.
The usually easy-going Brewmaster approached the genie and slammed a blue, beaded cord on the counter of the booth. "We're even," he growled then turned and walk away without another sound.

The noise from the carnival certainly did get the naiad's attention that's for sure! Goodness! Did this spring up over night? Or had she just been under the waves for too long and didn't notice? Either way, she was curious about what this was all about now.
The naiad stopped by a few stands to try the silly land pae food and boy was this stuff silly! She smiled as she walked, relaxing a bit before her eye caught the genie stall. 'Huh, what's a genie?' She moved closer to see what this was all about. 'Offer an item and a get a wish? What type of wish?' Well it wasn't like she had much to loose at the moment. The Naiad shuffled around in her bag for a moment before placing an item down for the genie. Maybe she'd like it?

Adrasteia had decided to meander about the festivities. The idea of a Carnival that brought Pae of all shapes and sizes together in some mild form of harmony and fun made her... well... curious was a rather aggressive way of putting it, but that was about the most accurate term for the notion. She flitted about seemingly without a care, periodically watching a Pae or two as they partook in various games and attractions. It wasn't until she came across the Genie's tent that she paused and watched with... well... seemingly more enthusiasm than the norm. It was obvious that others were giving away items they had to the Genie who was making promises to exchange one or more for a gift of sorts.... Perhaps the idea of randomnosity intrigued her enough to pull forth a pouch from her hip. It's only content hidden from sight, but upon opening the pouch, the Genie would find the eye. Where she found it, she couldn't even remember. She held no attachment to it... obviously....

Yes, yes this was it. Chini new this was the place. This is the place where everyone was bringing shinies in. She slipped in without a word, looking around for her first snatchable item. She was so lost looking around she forgot to look where she was going. Before she knew it she was falling on her butt, knocking a few items over. She heard a loud noise and couldn't be sure if she broke something. The look she was getting from the genie frightened her so she quickly whipped the first item out of her stash and tossed it at him before darting out of that place. So much for finding some treasure. ((Obviously she stole the tassels from someone... but what stripper Pae is running around nude now??? 8D))

Eee! So much excitement! The poor Fae didn't get nearly enough excitement living alone in the forest anymore. Not that the animals weren't great and all, but...she did like to talk to someone once in a while and have them talk back.
Okay, more than 'once in a while' would be nice.
The news of the carnival had gone a long way to lifting her spirits. Maybe the animals weren't so thrilled, as all the noise and activity seemed to have them spooked from the area, but the darkly-colored Fae was nearly ecstatic. Trading some berries for a different sort of sweet treat, she had continued wandering before discovering a curious booth...something about a genie...and granting wishes...
What kinds of wishes? What was a genie? An offering was asked for...what kind of offering did they want? Looking down at the half a pastry in her hands, Eudora realized she had little on her that she could offer in trade at this point. But...what kinds of wishes might be granted? She had to know!
She didn't have much now, but maybe with a little creativity...
Determination in her gaze, she trotted off into the maze of carnival booths...
...and nearly two hours later, trotted back, a delicate looking headpiece in her hands. Grinning proudly, she stepped up to lay the offering before the 'genie'. In answer to any questioning looks, she chuckled sheepishly and shrugged, "...don't ask."

Selah had always loved anything with bright trappings and lots of Pae. So naturally she'd be attracted to a carnival! Delighted, she made her way down the midway, admiring the colors and the crowd. The genie caught her eye, and she paused by the booth. Selah was fascinated and pulled a small item from her satchel. It looks like the bell of a flower, but looks soft. "Here," she said, smiling a bit at the genie.

Midnight Strike bit down on a small cake she had gotten as she walked around. There wasn't any notices saying they couldn't got to this carnival, at least this time. She didn't understand that, but those who snuck out last time got in trouble. Urg. Better safe than sorry after all.
There seemed to be some sort of group forming at one of the booth. Huh, Genie? Cool! Midnight Strike moved over to read the fine print. Offer an item. Midnight Strike reached into her pack and pulled out item, leaving it on the offering area before shrugging and leaving. There was still too much to do for her to stick around here all day.

Miela had brought Calanthe down to the carnival because a girl deserved to make some friends her own age. They'd stopped at a craft booth and painted some apple seeds together. They looked like jewels. Calanthe's were sapphires and rubies and emeralds, while Miela preferred to just keep hers golden. They sparkled in the sunlight. She had a handful of them, and as she passed by the genie, she decided to offer a few of them. Who knows? Perhaps the genie would bless her field.

Lucius' return to Telrunya had been uneventful - he was glad for that. When his mother had mentioned running an archives booth at the carnival, he'd decided to check it out. Get out and be social for once.
He'd enjoyed the food and entertainment, partook in a few of the games and rides. He had been saving this particular attraction for last. He knew exactly what to offer the genie, but he'd been observing first. Was this just a silly carnival gimmick or was that a real genie? There no signs of the latter, so maybe it was just a game.
Lucius approached following a few others who also seemed skeptical, maybe even a little frustrated. He chuckled lightly and then placed his offering on the table: a vial of Wyvern Tears. His last one. "Make it something good."

Devyn didn't see out the company of other Pae'il much these days. Not after what had happened the last few times... But, even if that fear remained, so did the desire to socialize. Perhaps, with so many Pae'il in one place, all busy with activities and each other, well...perhaps that would be better than attempts at one-on-one interaction.
The advertisement for the genie booth had caught his attention. Wishes granted? Oh, he had plenty of wishes, sure...but didn't think it likely they'd be granted any time soon. Still...even if it was a sham, what did he have to lose? He'd heard something about wishing on stars once, but he certainly didn't have anything star-like to offer. Maybe something else that was associated with luck and the sky?
Silently, the demon pushed a can of shimmering rainbow liquid towards the genie, then waited to see if his offering was accepted.
