Hmm....well....not an undirected portal though," she added after a moment of thought. "So does that mean...you had someone open a portal at random to try and get you somewhere around here!? And...you just happened to be lucky enough to get inside!? That's crazy! Going through portals without a specific location in mind can lead you almost anywhere and it's especially dangerous if you're trying to get into somewhere that's protected. That's like.....it's like....like driving a car at full speed with your eyes closed and your hands off the wheels until you slam into a concrete barrier and flip over it end over end and crash-land on the other side without a scratch! Mirai smiled slightly "Nice to meet you." She said before looking around again "I guess I am looking for wherever they keep captives. So I am guessing I need to go higher." She said. Mirai made a face suddenly and glanced upward. There was a really strong spike in wavelengths somewhere. One of them was rather scary and powerful. "That's not good..." she muttered.

If you're trying to get there then it's much closer to start from the bottom than from the top, so at least you've got that going for ya." She felt the wavelength at the same time Mirai did. Mirai frowned slightly as she had a clue as to what was possibly happening. "Nothing good... part of me isn't even sure if going to the place where my brothers are is a good idea or not." She glanced down at the cat "Who is Saint Clara by the way?" she asked. Obviously she knew she must have been the leader of the Order though she wanted to get a quick summary of her.

Except her I suppose. I've been....tasked with watching the Machinist Order since the end of my last mission and I'll tell you it's almost impossible to get near her unless you have a really good reason. She seems like she has a Machinist for everything. She even has one for tracking down targets like me! Had quite a bit of trouble with him...chased me all over the Upper City until I had to leave it entirely. Ah, wait I'm off topic. She founded The Machinist Order obviously but more than that she started a movement....an ideal." She looked up at Mirai. "She found some really fertile ground for power and she took full advantage of it. She discovered the power of hatred. Not herself personally, but the hatred of others. Using it. Do you have any idea how much power can be wielded by focusing that kind of emotion?" So she is that type of person." she said as she glanced at the ground before looking at the cat again. "So I take it everyone here has a type of grudge against non-humans then?"

Those are the people who are recent refugees or old enough to remember being refugees. You know, people whose towns have recently been destroyed or who The Machinist Order liberated from slavery. Then there's the liberationists who buy into the whole human superiority thing. They live and breath it; hating non-humans is part of who they are." She gave a small sigh. "Then there's the younger generations who were born into The Machinist Order and hating non-humans is just as normal as waking up every morning. They don't even give it a second thought. That little one who's in Saint Clara's inner circle....hmm....I think her name's Becky or someone like that. She's part of that generation. You'll see what I mean if you meet her. Sweet little girl unless she finds out you're non-human. Sooo it runs the entire spectrum I guess. But yeah, you're kinda the boogeyman around here. Mirai nodded as the cat explained everything "Great..." she muttered in reply. So in other words, she really needed to be careful if she saw anyone. She had to make sure her wavelength was extremely low or something along those lines. "I take it there is no reasoning with these guys into thinking differently about non-humans then?" she asked eventually after she was done thinking through several strategies as to how to get around the headquarters.

"Oh there are those type of people down here then..." Mirai said before letting out a small sigh. "Alright... Time to start finding a way to get out of here then." she said before remembering something. "Oh yeah... Do you have any info on TX1157A?" she asked. She might as well try and ask while they were playing 20 questions. "Besides the fact that he is a sleeper agent. I already got that part obviously." she said.

She walked around to her side and then leaped up onto her shoulder, balancing herself well on the small space. She looked forward so she wouldn't talk in Mirai's ear. "Texas, huh? Um....he's one of Saint Clara's inner circle. He disappeared about a year or two ago. I think he went under deep cover. A sleeper agentyou say? That makes sense. Did he go undercover in the DMA or the DWMA or something? My job wasn't really to keep track of him so when he disappeared he wasn't my problem. Anyway, while he was here he was kinda Saint Clara's boy-toy but he has a thing going on with Helena. I don't know how Saint Clara feels about that but I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up killing her. Though he's one of her closest agents. One of the things he's responsible for is infiltration and remaining undetected. That includes not standing out or seeming like a big threat. So he has orders to suppress his wavelength and resonance force at all times. And it works pretty well; I've been watching this place for a while and I still have no idea how strong he really is. He's only supposed to bust it out if Saint Clara orders him to or he's about to die or something. Don't know where he comes from but I think he was born in The Machinist Order. Part of an experiment to create augmented humans from birth. But not normal augmentations: they're supposed to be able to mimic nonhumans, powers and all. The ultimate sleeper agent. They're nonhumans in everything but name only. Though their loyalty is still to The Machinist Order. At least hypothetically. As you can imagine, there's lots of nonhuman groups REALLY interested in not letting that happen. It means anyone new who joins their ranks may be a Machinist in disguise. Think of it: a Machinist posing as a Weapon joins the DWMA and graduates to a Death Scythe. Then another does and another and another. They know the enemy because they are them and when the time comes they'd turn on our groups. None of us want that: they'd bring us down from the inside out. Texas is the first. A trial run I suspect, but that's just a guess. I imagine they see hybrids like you as a threat and also a new species that they still can't imitate. Better to take hybrids out now before they spread and become a new problem when The Machinist Order was just ready to solve their old one. Sorry, am I talking too much?"
