Last week I was at Youmacon 2014 in Downtown Detroit and I took a lot of photos of Cosplayers, especially some of Sailor Moon series cosplayers. I started a new Gallery Album called Youmacon 2014 on my Deviant Art page and I have posted some photos their already.

I came across a very cute Sailor Mercury, a tough looking Sailor Jupiter that even had some tattoos on her shoulder. I also came across a Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask couple and my favorite was a group cosplay that had all of the inner scouts in it. I had a lot of fun with that group. Their was a classic pose and a couple of fun & crazy poses.In one of the poses Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars are giving each other the business. They are sticking their tongues out at each other and giving each other a face that was typical for those two in the series.

I already posted a photo of Sailor Mercury & Sailor Jupiter together and one of Sailor Mercury by herself. The one with Sailor Mercury by herself I asked her to pose like she was getting ready to fight someone. Instead of the usual water attack pose she put up her dukes like she was getting ready for a street fight. I thought that was a really funny and cute pose.

Their was also a special photo that I posted where I'm on the other side of the camera posing with a cute young lady dressed up as Sailor Uranus. What's amazing is that she was about the same height as me!! So if you want to see me dressed up as a dungeon and dragons Celtic Cleric check that photo out. Btw a really nice Madoka Cosplayer took the photo of Sailor Uranus and I. It was the first time that I posed with a Sailor Moon series Scout. I will have to do that more often, especially with my favorite scout Sailor Mars. smile Feel free to check out the photos on my Deviant Art page.

During the con I bought a pose able Sailor Mercury action figure and a Princess Serenity plushie. What was special about the Princess Serenity plushie was that it was of much better quality and only made and sold in Japan.

A Japanese vendor was at the con selling these special plushies. My plushie had embroidered eyes instead of stick on felt ones and their was real beads on her head where her pig tails start. The white beads are very pretty and I Love her eyes.

The Sailor Moon series plushies that you see at stores and most cons are mass produced and of lower quality but I Love them just the same. I already have all of the inner scouts of the store bought ones and Love them all. My most precious plushie now will be that Princess Serenity one. When I saw her at the vendors booth I fell in Love with her and had to buy her, Believe it or not but she cost only $20!! I imagine in the future the price will go way up due to the rarity of these high quality plushies.

Oh, if you don't know, this coming Tuesday Nov 11th will be the release of the Blu Ray set of the Original Sailor Moon series. I already have a copy reserved and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I reserved a copy ahead of time to make sure that I get a copy of it because I know it;s going to sell out quickly in the stores. This special Blu Ray set is suppose to have a special book with it that will have a lot of info of the Sailor Moon series in it. I can't wait to get my copy!! smile
