Oh...right, Blues should have been able to figure that out. So...when everything was at it's worst, people still had hope to cling to. That, in itself, was a nice thought. One that Blues sometimes (IE: Most of the time) had a hard time seeing due to what had happened. But when he paused a moment and gave it some thought he could see how the story's meaning was nice.
He still didn't think the Citizens had any heroes left in them though. Especially not after their last 'hero' was Flashover.
"Perhaps.... You seem like a good citizen, I hope they don't dump you as quickly as they dumped me."
Blues frowned just a bit. "I was just walking through to check on dad's place, and was curious. No reason to thank me."

"I'm sure he will be happy to see you. Although I'm sure you don't need my permission, you're welcome to stop by here if you ever need anything," Étoile was more thankful of Proto's visit then Proto could realize. The direct questioning of his intentions and the airing out of his years of pent up guilt gave him new resolve to do what was right.

Blues wasn't sure why anyone would be thankful for a visit from him, especially since he had originally shown up to threaten the other Audio. But hey, whatever.
"...I can take care of myself. Just...help watch over Father." Light could use all the friends he could get.
The general flattened his ears back..giving the other a curt nod before turning to head out.

"Will do," Étoile said, more upbeat than he'd been in years. Yes, Proto, you may not realize it, but you still represented Hope to some audios. Battle scared and imperfect, but hope none the less. This time, Étoile told himself, Hope would not stand alone.
