She smiled at his grin. "Touche~"
She nodded. Clubs were much more fun when it was later. "Sounds wonderful. Rule between friends... We go together and we leave together..." Friends...acquaintances... strangers spending the day together... either way... it was a safety thing and she didn't want to be roofied... Especially in a gay bar.
She smiled and they were going. "Wonderful... Thats a really good way to go about it." She would pay more then time if he estimated more. "And it works perfectly fine for me."

KO gave a slight shrug and then nodded. "Fair." It was a sensible rule he guessed; he tended to go out alone however so it wasn't something that tended to cross his mind, a canny mind and a calculating Raichu were his best defense against those with nefarious intent.
"So where do you come from Kailee?" he continued languidly as he accelerated to a comfortable ninety-some miles per hour. "Forgive me for presumption but you don't sound like the type who tends to sign up with the illustrious organization that is Team Rocket." Nor did he come to that but his smooth tones were the product of careful crafting over the years not birth to comfortable status; he did not for a moment think that the same was true of Kailee given her mention of that rather nice car.

She smiled and nodded. Good. That made her feel a lot better. It was on her mind only because she had been thinking about how she was gonna dance and make sure she was fine.
She glanced over at the question. "Hmm?" Back stories... She had come to find out that not a lot of people wanted to give them. "Im from Sinnoh... " She grinned. "I was recruited for my scientific knowledge in genetics and biology."
She would tell him about her family if he asked. Afterall the Fishers were a well known rich family from Sinnoh. So knowing her last name and that she was from there... then if he had heard of them he would know she came from that family. "What about you?"

"Sinnoh hu?" KO glanced over at Kailee, debating for a moment before admitting; "Well that makes two of us, I've not been back in a long time though. I've been to Kanto, Hoenn, Fiore, Orre, and a few further flung places too... yes, life took me all over until I ran into an old friend here and got recruited." He used the term 'friend' loosely, and this may have been clear from an ironic cluck in his tones. "I'm a chemist and a medic by trade, more of the former though. I'm working with the team that dreamed up that wonderful drug that's speeding up the recovery of some of your injured friends, and I brought in a nice little number with me when I joined; I call it Syth, it's a temporary performance enhancer... a few kinks to iron out of it though."
The name Fisher ran a bell, a gilded bell at that, but as a man who had to regularly introduce himself as 'Kirk Oak, no relation' he didn't set too much store by it just yet.

She nodded. And then she looked a little surprised. "Really?! Oh that's so funny." She raised half her mouth in a smile. "I go back whenever i get the chance... My extra pokemon vacation at home when i dont need them." She shrugged. "My Munchlax is there right now." She smiled at him as he mentioned how he was recruited and she nodded.
"Oh fun.. Chemistry... " She raised a brow. "Tambrey said something about that... I.... Think?" She frowned. Tam had mentioned trying healing drugs that sped recovery. Though it may have been different.
Kailee raised a brow though. "Thats pretty cool that you are making medicines."

"Oooh, Tam," KO smiled. "Now Tam I like, I'm impressed by anyone who can put up with Star; Star is that friend I mentioned, a former Galatic Commander fallen on hard times, they were roomates until she was promoted. Of course Tam is now partnered with, oh, you know the scarred one? Aulus, that's it. There's a betting pool going on him and Elite Hayes you know, and after this last fiasco it might behoove you to put your stake in if you know what I mean. I really wouldn't be surprised to see it come to something soon." He had good money riding on something coming.

She nodded. "I like her too... And I got to hear about Star... Straight from Tam... " She nodded as he confirmed the name. She looked up shocked. "A betting pool...Like... " Like Aulus would go with Alex?
She sat back thinking about this. No... Hayes liked Faleen... Sure... Aulus liked hayes... they were friends... She just kinda got really quiet as she started to puzzle this over. Aulus... was gay... oh dear lord... And Hayes too? Those thoughts didnt sit well... then again Asgard was pink...
She stared out the window trying to wrap her head around that thought. Aulus was too butch... He liked all things manly... nothing girly... well there was photography... but admiring beauty wasnt a feminine quality... And yet... Hayes wasnt... Had she really been that blind...
Not that it was her business.... after all... Aulus barely even tolerated her... and she was just a pain his side not a friend he would entrust with that information. Yep... now she felt like an idiot. "Who do i book with?" She grinned to cover herself.

KO smiled and looked over his shades at her again. "Exactly like that. I think they'd be cute together: the same height, complimentary attitudes and professions, all that deep history together you know? There's bets on Hayes and Faleen too of course but I favour our Sysadmin and his bodyguard." Maybe he was biased though... yes, yes he was biased. You couldn't help wanting to see more people like you in the world after all, KO privately theorized that this was why most people chose to breed.
"Another friend of mine is holding the book," KO continued with a nod, "I'll introduce you when we get back if you like. There's good odds on Hayes and Aulus, mainly because of presumed heterosexuality. I don't think most people have even heard of bisexuality, or pan, or any other fluid way of being from how they place their money." Oh well that was their loss, hopefully.

She didnt. But maybe that was just another stab because she couldnt even be friends with the man and he was gonna get together with hayes. Wtf...
She covered her face as she thought about it. It made sense. Who was the one person Aulus would give his right arm for... literally. She could see it happen... they cant play video games anymore...So Aulus finds something other then a joystick that he can play with one handed.
She nodded. "Yeah i can see that.. so sadly though. At least for girls everywhere." She wouldnt judge... All sorts of sexualities came into play and sadly there were just too many variables that she probably wouldnt bet much.
That and she wasnt sure it would happen.
Laughing she shook her head. She knew about them... she just didnt usually think about them... because it was all a spectrum... it wasnt really gay or straight in her mind... well you were gay or straight when she labeled you... but relationships were built on trust and mutual benefits... and pleasure... So if you trusted another of the same sex... got pleasure from them... and both benefited... it doesnt mean you like that sex more... it meant you liked that person. She didnt know... Holding her hands up she shook her head. "I could use a drink i think..."

KO laughed; it was a light, pleasant laugh that had been masterfully crafted over the years to be exactly what it was. "Shame indeed; I'd say it was a plus for me but I don't think either is interested in casual liaisons regardless of gender." KO gave a martyred sigh and, as the road was empty, sped up a little to see what the engine really had to give.
"There's a lovely wine and cocktail bar on the corner of the park," he continued after a beat. "They do good snacks too if you fancy eating lunch perhaps? It's a little pricey but worth it if you ask me; the best things in life are either free, or expensive."

She looked to him and smiled. "This is very true... while i can see Aulus and Hayes... im not sure... i can see Aulus with anyone but someone he has known forever." She shook her head. She heard the engine and glanced to his speed before grinning.
She nodded. "Sounds like a plan." Sure she was underage... she had a fake id. "We may need to take tomorrow off at this rate." She flashed him a smile and then looked back out... her mind still trying to figure out how she had missed something like this. She would have to recalibrate he gay-dar when they got to the bar.

KO shrugged. "Well I don't know either on a personal level but I've been holding out on this result for, well, a good couple of years now I suppose." For the wager he had put down he could wait.
"And we'll be fine," he continued airily with a wave of one hand. "If we have a little much you just need to drink a pint of water with an ibuprofen and an Alka-Seltzer before bed. Have another glass by your bed to drink in the night and more pills for the morning. Fun fact! With gel pills you can split them open and put them on your tongue. The stuff inside tastes awful but some of it absorbs through your tongue into your bloodstream and gives you a faster result. Wash the rest down with a coffee and you should be good to go for the morning unless you got seriously wasted." KO was full of sage advice that was not at all safe for... well, any audience really.

Kailee looked over to him. Well it hadnt happened yet... but now that it was so obviously put in front of her face she could definitely see it. And she couldnt deny the possibility. But she didnt really want to bet on something like that. Because it wasnt really love you were betting on. She went quiet again as she thought about him. Maybe thats why he kept everyone at arms length? Because he truely loved Hayes but was too afraid of rejection to try anything. In that case... she would have to bet against them... because Aulus would never do anything that could push Hayes away. Well... She would have to figure it out.
She glanced to him, being pulled from her thoughts. She wrinkled her nose and shook her head. "I say... wasted may be fun... but ive never been That... drunk before... " Just one party before... and she really didnt like losing control of her basic common sense... or the ability to walk straight... but one to take the edge off never hurt.
"But thanks for the advice, Doctor...." She saluted him and went back to staring out the window.

"Any time, it's my pleasure," KO replied with a soft chuckle.
The rest of the drive was pleasant enough, nothing thrilling really but it was good just to be out on the highway again. He missed driving, missed traveling in fact but there were certain trade offs you had to make in the interests of self preservation.
Thanks to the speed with which they had thundered down the highway it wasn't too long before they arrived in Camphoreon; KO parked them up in the multi-story next to the mall, retrieved his vest from the back seat, and got out of the car to stretch.

Kailee smiled. She decided then and there she liked KO. He was fun to talk to. Apparently she trusted him. Because they were flying down the road at horrendously fast speeds and she wasnt fearing death. Actually she wished she was in her car driving faster.
She looked to the building as they parked and she got out. Looking around she took a deep breath. Free... for one whole day. She grinned to KO. "To the fabric Store?" She slung her purse over her shoulder and tossed her hair once. Time to shop.
She waited for Kirk to come around and then she started toward the nearest entrance.
