Well first of all, my birthday is December 21st. The day the world (was supposed to have) ended!
Second, all throughout my college career I was in the Rotoract, which was a subsidiary (basically) to the Rotory. We did volunteer events of all kinds for the last three years. We've been in several articles in our local paper, but I don't have any of them, unfortunately. I never liked being in the lime light, so I intentionally avoided getting my picture taken.
One of my favorite events were the Local Shop Expo, where we had local businesses come out to the college and give everyone a chance to see what little shops were hidden away in our little town (as opposed to going to Walmart or shopping online).
I do have several awards from the Rotoract. I got the Service Above Self award, an award for being the most involved, a distinguished service award and my favorite, the Quietest Award for "most likely to be translating the meeting." ;p
Maybe one day I'll take pictures of them and post those. I dunno. I have self confidence issues, so I feel like that's all unimportant. :'p
