“I would be careful about advertising that, if I were you,” Valhalla said warily over his shoulder to Kepler’s joke about them being aliens. “The fact that senshi were born to be bound to the world of their name has… been a huge reason for many in the Negaverse to fight us. They try to make the claim that we have no right to the Earth, or to live there, because of what happened in the past…”
It was sad, really. They were all of Earth, and yet their starseeds obviously connected them to other worlds. While he knew his most recent past life had been born on Earth before becoming a knight of Jupiter, he didn’t know how many before that were of Earth, or if they’d been born on other worlds. Even the fact that some Negaverse officers purified into knights poked holes into the Negaverse’s claim, yet the war still raged on.
Glad that Ganymede was at least back, Valhalla settled a little, allowing himself to actually enjoy the company of the others while they waited for everything to get started. Seeing Auriga there made him even more relieved, although he would like to see many others safe from harm as well.
“You question being able to breathe, but not the fact that you’ve been magically disguising yourself and using magic, or the talking cats, or strange monsters?” Valhalla laughed softly, amused. Some things he’s learned to just not question.

Ganymede appeared, as beautiful as ever, and Auriga may or may not have actually hopped off the ground just a little bit. "Look, my arm is healed," she said, holding it up to show. It had been an extreme burden as long as it lasted. The fact that her cast was history was like Christmas came early. Ganymede was also able to explain the magic of the moon, which Auriga accepted with a smile and a thumbs up.
Another person popped into energy, but was gone quickly. Auriga would have to introduce herself later. Instead, she focused her gaze on Kepler, who was glancing at her, and nodded along to what she was saying. "I haven't been to mine either," Auriga quipped. Her joy got a bit more tentative when Valhalla issued his warning.

Well that...anti-climactice, the Squire thought as he blinked. Almost like a roller-coaster that didn't deliver, Ashur would have complained if not for the sight of the Moon ruins. And the others that were there, chatting and seemingly enjoying each other's company. He mouthed a "wow" and did nothing to hide the fact that he was more than impressed with what he saw -- yes, he could appreciate the ruins of what was likely something very beautiful in its prime -- before turning quickly to Thraen and raising a hand to acknowledge his words just as the Eternal disappeared. He was left to his own devices for the time being, and he would have taken the opportunity to go and explore the place except for the fact that he actually saw familiar and friendly faces.
"Yo," he greeted the group as he approached, nodding in particular to Valhalla, him being the only other knight there besides himself and Nilfhel, and Ganymede who...he wasn't sure would recognize him. No harm in being polite, though. He didn't feel quite out of place, but then again he didn't feel quite like he belonged there just yet. Maybe it was because it was his first time here? No way to be sure...
The Squire caught the tail-end of Val's comment and wondered in passing who'd asked about gravity and things, slightly amused as well though he found there was at least a small bit of validity in asking the question. Even if the answer was "magic" or something, it was fair to ask if you'd never visited before. Then again, he didn't bother asking such things when he'd visit his wonder, so. Hm.
"Magic's probably the answer to all of those questions," he thought to say, idly adjusting the straps across his chest. "I still asked all of those when I started out, though." The Squire laughed lightly at the admission, then waved a hand as if to dismiss it. "I'm Ashur, by the way," he went on, regarding those he was sure he'd never seen before with a small smile. "Don't think I've met most of you. Officially, anyway."

There were, again, just too many names. But that wasn’t really a bad thing. Better too many than too few. Amphitrite made a valiant effort though, making special note of all those senshi and knights she’d like to bother later. Like - oh, wait. She was pretty stupid, wasn’t she? The senshi pulled out her phone from Ash, glancing back at the crowd of powered individuals. She had to be smart about this; she couldn’t be that obnoxious person that went around asking for everyone’s number or anything, even if she sort of wanted to. “Cybele, “ she greeted, tilting her head towards her in muted greeting.
A brief surge of panic swept through her, although no one would know it. She’d called Ganymede a ‘he’. Had she gotten it wrong? Not like it really mattered to her one way or another what the glowy senshi decided to go by, but she really didn’t want to make a mistake like that and insult anyone. But then she heard Valhalla call Ganymede a ‘her’, and they seemed like they were probably maybe friends or something, so…
Almost immediately though, she realized she totally liked Auriga. Seriously. Not only was her whole outfit completely ridiculously cool, but she just radiated a kind of energy that instantly drew the seashell laden senshi’s attention. She couldn’t help but smile back at her, edging closer as she tried to find a good place to break into her constant stream of conversation. It didn’t hurt that Ganymede came back nice and quick too, much to her excitement. They were both talking anyway, so maybe she could just sidle in there and get a few numbers and --
-- wow she probably sounded like such a creep, didn’t she? Keep the mental creepiness to a minimum. Don’t be creepy Nat. Just play it cool Nat. You’re just on the moon with a bunch of completely unbelievably beautiful cool people Nat, no big deal --
“Wait, ice queen? - and there really are ghosts?” she blurted out, her eyes wide and somewhere between wonder and awe; she was still entirely too fresh to be reeling from a lot of fears.
Abruptly another completely gorgeous senshi with long blond hair and flowers appeared; he was gone again in nearly the blink of an eye, but it was enough to send her reeling as she couldn’t help sighing and mumbling, less to herself than she thought, “Seriously, I’m starting to think Mauvians are drawn to models or something…” If some of these people didn’t model it was definitely a crime.
The alien thing threw her for a loop, if only because she hadn’t really considered it. She’d been sitting here calling the cats aliens the whole time, but really they were all… “Wait, what??” she exclaimed when Valhalla explained that the Negaverse used that as an excuse to exert their claim over the planet or something crazy like that. “But… that’s stupid, “ she said bluntly, crossing her arms and furrowing her brow. “I mean, they steal energy and unleash monsters and stuff, don’t they? - being from Krypton doesn’t make Superman less of a superhero, and I bet he’d kick some Negaverse a** if he was here too.”
Also! Now was her chance! “By the way, uh… Auriga, right?” She pulled out her phone and shifted it awkwardly from one hand to another. “Do you wanna, I don’t know, maybe… however this meeting works out... do you wanna exchange numbers, patrol together or something sometime, maybe?” She flashed her a sheepish smile. “I don’t know if you heard me before or not, but I know I can’t keep any names straight ever in my life, and -- I’m Amphitrite, hi! My attack’s kind of defensive, like a shell shield, so it’d probably be better if I go with someone else, and… I mean, I’d go with anyone here, for the record, “ she added, glancing around sheepishly because it was probably a little rude to zero in on one senshi (especially with someone as gorgeously awesome as Ganymede around); Auriga just seemed like she’d be so much fun to hang out with.
The air was cool up on the moon, even in full sunlight. Down on Earth, it was the dead of night, and Earth made a soft black circle in the sky overhead -- but up here, the moon was full as day, and all was bright and pleasant. The sky was well-lit by the sun, if oddly clear and starlit black outside of its bright yellow globe.
There's moisture and oxygen on earth, she remembered. It's the light refracting through them that makes the sky blue somehow. Without much air or water, everything's clear and cold.
The immediate area was an old, ancient ruin, just as they'd been led to expect. Hvergelmir took it in -- broken columns here and there, a few old benches interspersed between the newly placed cushions, pavingstones worn by tread and then by time . . . It was beautiful, but solemn, and long abandoned. Where her own Wonder had stood a tranquil vigil, only barely touched by time, things had fared worse here. There were signs of evident, intentional damage.
Perhaps the war with Earth had had this palace as part of its stage, too. She wondered who would know.
Picking up one of the available blankets, Hvergelmir made her way over to the forming group of assembled people. Mimisbrunnr would be along soon -- but until then, she could make her introductions again and see if any of the new arrivals could help her in her search.
She knew so few senshi. Their uniforms were vribrant, varied, and fascinating -- even with this small group, Hvergelmir had never seen so many in person.
"Hvergelmir of the Cosmos," she said again to dispense with the introduction, negotiating herself into the circle of people. "Was the war fought here as well?" she asked around. "Or only Earth? Does anyone know that piece of our history?"

Ganymede was a she? Oh. That was embarrassing. Even though everyone was very politely not mentioning it, all Cybele could do for a few moments was sit there and blush at her stupidity, especially when the obviously feminine senshi showed up again a few moments later.
At least embarassment was the worst of her problems right now. More senshi and knights were showing up, both new and familiar, mostly with smiles on their faces. There were more here than she'd seen together, before, except in the biggest battles. It was nice, almost inspiring, really, to see people excited about space, or anything, really. Lately, everything for Cybele had been death and regret and people on the verge of breaking down, but now, everyone's excitement was catching.
Well, there was one thing she wasn't very excited about. "We're not aliens," Cybele said a bit briskly, because she'd been treated like an monstrous invader several times, including by the lieutenant she'd killed, and therefore had strong feelings about the subject. "Maybe we have roots in space, our court started here, definitely, maybe there was fighting here long ago, I don't know," she paused then to sort of nod at one of the newcomer knights that had mentioned it, "But we've lived on Earth all our lives. We're risking our lives to defend Earth. That's what matters."
Maybe she was being a little to serious, though. "But... yeah, this place is really magical. Magic is usually fun, but I think I've also stopped wondering too much about it at this point." She smiled, a bit awkwardly, now, but it was better than most of the plastic smiles she'd been forcing lately. This was nice. She adjusted the blanket a little before repeating, "I'm Cybele," for the newest arrivals and waving at them, smiling more. She hoped they would have proper introductions at some point, because despite her best efforts, she was pretty sure she wasn't going to remember all these names.

Ganymede tried to look completely unconcerned as Auriga showed off her once broken arm, and though she managed it well enough, doing little more than smiling from behind her thermos of tea, she gave off the vibes of someone who was two seconds away from mother henning.
But she restrained herself—for now—and took in the faces all around her as more and more figures appeared on the moon.
Many of them had come from the basketball court at Meadowview, yet there were others present who must have come from different locations. Ashur she knew by sight if not by name, though he solved the problem that was her poor memory soon enough. Ganymede waved cheerfully as he approached and glanced around to see if Themiscyra was with him. When she didn't see the page of Mars, Ganymede thought it was foolish of her to expect as much; seeing them together in the midst of battle didn't mean they'd always be around one another.
Cybele she recognized as well. Ganymede offered another wave. The rest she was unsurprised to note were complete strangers to her, though the face of a Knight of Saturn that had recently been dropped off brought back vague memories. She stared at him intently for a few moments before deciding she did not know his name, nor could she remember exactly which of the many battles or gatherings she'd seen him at. Certainly she expected that she wouldn't know everyone, but the low attendance rate of those of higher rank and more familiarity made Ganymede uneasy.
She did not know many of her allies to begin with, at least when one took into account the numbers that made up the White Moon, but after more than three years she'd come to expect certain faces at each event even if she knew nothing further about them. As of that moment, she wondered if she might be one of the longest serving Senshi there. That was a terrifying thought. Ganymede could only hope that would change as others made their way up.
Heaven help them all of Ganymede was one of the more experienced attendants.
She felt both worried and mildly disappointed that more of the Jovians were not present. After the encounter with Cyllene, Ganymede felt the harsh sting of regret for not keeping track of some of her more elusive teammates. What had become of them? Were they safe? Or had others been stolen from them and draped in black?
Ganymede shook the thought from her mind. Best not to dwell on that right now, at risk of bringing the mood down.
“The first time we came here, we all got to see the Moon Queen's ghost,” she explained, smirking a bit at Amphitrite's interest in such things. “Either that or it was a holographic projection, but given what tends to happen on homeworlds I'm more inclined to go with ghost. I don't know if anyone's seen her since then, though, so I wouldn't expect much if I were you. But your homeworld would probably be different. I see things on Ganymede all the time. Ghosts and memories from a long time ago.”
The alien talk was somewhat of an awkward subject for her. While she agreed with it wholeheartedly, she'd developed an unshakeable attachment to her homeworld; she'd not been born there, but it was her home as much as Earth was. On that she kept her mouth shut, contemplating instead the question of the wars presence there on the moon.
“Supposedly the war started because the Moon Princess and the Prince of Earth were ga-ga for one another,” she explained in a tone that made it obvious she thought it ridiculous, “so I wouldn't be surprised if there was fighting here, too. It'd explain all the damage. Still pretty dumb if you ask me.”

Kallichore all at once regretted not bringing some concealer, the dark circles beneath her eyes were apparent despite her vest efforts. Oh well, hindsight and all that.
The eternal senshi of madness stretched her arms wide and quickly tried to stifle a yawn behind a long sleeve. She didn't want to disappoint those in attendance, as many seemed perkier than she did. Still, her experiments with chemical sleep aids did better to stave the nightmares than sheer willpower alone - whatever was plaguing them was greater than any one individual. But that was a discussion for some other time.
She appeared somewhere behind Ganymede, walking slowly (and humming the theme to Jaws for the few moments while she was behind Ganymede just for dramatic effect), meandering towards the general gathering places. Those eyes she met, she nodded to politely. With a great wave of one arm she ushered in those that had just appeared with the last ferry, finding a pleasantly surprising amount of people in attendance, Ganymede and Valhalla especially. It was beginning to look like things were coming together, for better or for worse. She absently wondered if this would be enough, or rather, if Thraen thought this amount of people was suitable. Anyone more than one or two was extra, she thought, and much appreciated.
Kallichore made it a point to at least greet those she did not know, a seashell senshi she had not seen before in particular. "Good evening. Or morning, I should say. It's entirely too late or too early, depending on who you ask." she started. "I'm Sailor Kallichore, Senshi of Madness and I don't believe we've met. We're very lucky to have you. And you all as well." She nodded in particular to Cybele, Auriga and the lovely Squirewhose dress was amazing. Kallichore made mental note to drool over it in metaphor only. Anything else would be nothing short of creepy.
Not that she didn't have a reputation for such behavior but... oh well.

He felt dizzy on arriving this time, opening eyes to the cooler air and the panoply of colours and shimmering uniforms. Thraen had been to a handful of large defenses and attacks, but never yet had he seen so large a gathering of Order members for peaceful purpose.
Never so many in one place.
It took force of will to set Snowball down on an unclaimed cushion, toning option to Faust, "Did you want a cushion, or are you sticking to shoulder?"
I would rather keep both. Its calming to have them near. I wish Faust would purr. Why should I be anymore nervous to speak before Senshi and Knights than I am to the students in the lecture? Its the same- public speaking. You can only do your best. The rest is in the assembled hands.
Faust settled in choice (whichever that was), Thraen went to the center of the cloister space, treating it much as a forum, he lifted a hand and projected his voice with practice borne from teaching and performing arts, "Ladies and Gentlemen- Knights, Senshi and Mauvians. I am Eternal Thraen of Gardens, host and caller of this meet. If you please, find a seat or comfortable position to stand. This is our Forum, so if we can leave space in the center it will be the space for those who will speak."
His voice came unwavering, strong and graveled despite and inner uncertainties. "I will start with an introduction of the purpose, an explanation more in-depth than rumor or SMS allows, then the proposition I have for the organization of the Watch. After that, I welcome any and all to come forward to stand and ask questions, make suggestion, or voice concerns. At that point, we will host a vote- whether a Black Watch will be founded or no. If it is, it will be up to the Watch itself to consider the concerns and actual organization based on the feedback received here. "
He took a breath and nodded to the assembly, motioning around the cloister. "So please, make yourselves comfortable."
Just let me know if I missed you! At this point, people are still allowed to join, though they should already have a Moon Pearl or be coming with someone who does.
Please feel free to settle the last of your interactions from mingling, finding a seat, and Thraen's next post will get the meeting underway at 8am EST (10 hours from now) Wednesday 30th to give enough time to let people do so.

Athene arrived in the cloistered garden that had been selected as the location for the meeting.
With his role of playing ferry for the morning, it meant that he was one of the last arrive. Given that Athene thought Thraen's idea of a Blackwatch a good one, it was perhaps heartening to see that so many others agreed if the numbers around who had preceeded him up was anything to go on, but Athene couldn't help but feel a little cautious as for a moment his mind recalled another large Order meeting.
Despite crumbs of information being shared the purpose of the meeting had pretty much been lost - hijacked by in-fighting and petty bickering and that was before the Negaverse and Dark Mirror had invaded destroying the rest. True the discovery of the Moon, a place that Chaos couldn't reach, had also come out of that night but the price of that discovery had been high - far too high for Athene's way of thinking.
Shaking his head slightly to brush away memories that never seemed to be too far away on the few occaions when he had been to the Moon, Athene wound his way round people trying to be as unobtrusive as possible as he looked for a space to settle, snagging a couple of spare blankets on the way knowing that he'd be grateful for the warmth and that Ida (who was bringing Liryn up with her once the little bobtail was finished with her phone) might want one too.
He ended up near Ganymede, recognising a few by the blonde haired eternal, such as the Jupiter knight and the green-clad senshi Auriga who had come by his original ferry point before he had dropped Liryn over to help out at the Meadowview point.
Liryn had caught a lift up with Ida, after upgrading her phone to new model that Ash had shown him when she had upgraded Athene's phone back when they had been over at Destiny Tower.
It was exciting being on the Moon and his purplish eyes stared at his surroundings in fascination.
Unfortunately there didn't seem like there would be any time to explore. From the looks of things he and Ida were amongst the last (if not last) up if the numbers already gathered were anything to go by so exploring would have to wait for some other time.
Catching sight of bronze and jade from further in he said to Ida "There's Athene up ahead and he has space by him - we should go sit with him."
He also thought he spotted the eternal from earlier - the one with the interesting feel to her aura and who had told him to come find her. He slipped down from Ida, "I'll see you over by Athene 'kay?" He made it into a question, it belated occurring that Ida might have other plans, waiting long enough for her response before making his way over to where Athene was sitting, worming his way into Athene's lap with a cheery but "We made it" looking over to see if Ida had followed, turning his attention to the blond eternal, whose outfit seemed to be festooned with plants and flowers momentarily as he asked them to make themselves comfortable before looking back to the direction that he'd come from.
Bluefire Dragonz
Hope this works Bluefire, I tried to keep it relatively loose on Liryn's part.
Kepler ducked her head a little with a sheepish grin. Well she'd thought it was clever. Ah well. IT seemed like everyone was coming together in their little cliques and she looked over at Eris with a shrug. Who to talk to? The red head didn't know honestly. Biting down on her lip, she just wandered around, looking at people's dresses, fuku and what not. They all were so pretty! She looked down at her own and kind of unruffled her skirt before humming again, coming up to Snowball who she knew from when she first found out who she was.
"Snowball!" He was on a cushion and she squatted down in front of him, reaching out to pet over his head lightly and giggled.
Then Thraen said to find a seet, and she took one right next to the cat because why not? She knew him and Thraen, so she felt more at ease.
-----
Unlike Kepler, Eri stayed to herself, listening to conversations, looking at everyone to see if she knew anyone from her time in Destiny City before finishing school. Unfortunately she did not. She just stood back and took her seat again.
Ah, so there wasn't actually a Black Watch yes? A gloved hand went through her bangs and Eris hummed to herself. This could get pretty interesting.

People were settled with a welcoming sound of rustling jewelry and blankets. He hoped it was actually welcoming to most of them, and not just a figment of his insomnia. "The idea for the Watch comes from the same success that brought you all here tonight. Whether it was word of mouth from an acquaintance, the announcements systems worked on by Ash, the approach of one of your team mates with the idea, or just curiosity because you felt a gathering of pure signatures- you decided to come and Do. You decided to act and put forward the energy to do so. If we do this, what we get out of it will be what we put into it. The difference is that it won't rely on one persons effort, no more than calling this meeting did. Without your own decisions, your own efforts, it would have been one eternal running around to have met a handful of people like it has been for years. "
"This is a history and a legacy we all share. This war has been going on since before us, and without a change it may go on long after. One change that everyone I have talked to has agreed upon is the want to help people. Some of us are on teams, but still end up alone on patrols. Or alone in our emotions, some trauma of this war isolating us in our own homes with no where to turn. Some take long hours patrolling, and may not have budgeted for it as closely as they should because it is hard to rationalize minimum wage hours against saving a life. We tear ourselves apart helping others, but where is the help for us?"
"The Black Watch would be founded on these principles, its interest in the succor of our own: Mentorship and Knowledge; through establishing, upkeeping, and dissemination of information through all means possible. The watch would do the footwork to arrange dates and times for teams and independents to intern with each other, would work with the Mauvians and Eternal Kallichore to improve the Primer, with the Knights to try to establish some means or doing the same for them.
Preventing Desperation by providing food to the needy, temporary housing to the homeless, money to the inflicted, help to the injured. The Watch is a charity, and would draw funding from tithe. Each person would be responsible for a small amount to be decided by the directing counsel. This could be a flat rate, or a scaled one, whatever works best. It could also be made in time. There's more than twenty people here- For the first month that would be say, twenty dollars that the watch could see use for. Forty by two months, sixty by three. It adds up, and wise management could provide groceries, rent, clothing. If someone is homeless tonight, there is a good chance that in the resources tonight someone could offer them a room. Or a handful could set up a few weeks carousel-ling couches.
Bringing a Sense of Joined Community through cooperative effort and organizing of the needs of the Watch. We get out of it what we put in. We claim we are all working together, but there's been nothing to work together on before except dusting youma and stopping chaos agents. Occasionally bumping into each other to trade names. This would provide a useful, helpful forum for meeting each other, for getting to know each other by choice of in uniform or out. It would help us discover each other as people outside of the confines of war-philosophy. Joining an archeological dig on Mars can be a more productive and bonding than just seeing the same uniform out there at random Negaverse attacks.
Lastly, hindering Corruption that spreads through ignorance or a sense of isolation in knights and senshi. The enemy is a military, with central structure and defined roles in their divisions. That sort of regular authority, of clear expectation, and regular social feedback looks a lot better by comparison than much of what is offered by 'Order.' Random awakenings where many are told their spell name and how to henshin, that there is an enemy then its godspeed good luck. I spent months knowing maybe three people, seeing none of them, and my mentor was the primer. Chance and luck alone saved my life by bringing help in the form of help from other senshi like Athene or knights like Nysa. Many senshi never find mentors or teams. Knights don't have the benefit of the phones and primer system. They don't have even a Mauvian to tell them good luck. Regular patrols and communication with those expressed purposes - finding newly awakened members, or working with the Mauvians to escort them and provide immediate support to a newly unlocked starseed. The earlier we can help each other, the less the 'help' of chaos will look so inviting despite the very feel of it. "
He left a pause then, taking a breath to recuperate while letting the words settle- to be picked apart for flaws in the minds of the doubting or to be evaluated for merit by the curious.
"There is a history of Order being unable to recognize authority for their own egos. This is not a team, nor a royal telling us how to live our lives or use our power. This is a contract between ourselves and among ourselves. It is a large undertaking, with money and resources involved. Without responsible parties and management this will not work. Elected Executors and Executrices of this contract that are willing to sacrifice their time have the power given them by us to arrange liaisons between teams, whether money is spent on clothes, equipment, food, or rolled over for a month, and if someone has missed too many asked responsibilities if they should pay with an extra week or service, should be checked in on more regularly for stress-support, or cannot be relied upon further by the watch.
I would suggest the elect number one to represent any teams interest, and then an number equal that plus or minus one to keep the council an odd number for votes. The position is elected, and would serve indefinite terms- until the party steps down of personal need and choice, or is voted out for remission of duty. The council must be small enough to make nimble, quick decisions, but large enough to reflect the variant needs and opinions of our people. A council to avoid suspicion that this is a power play, if the purposes enough haven't convinced that the goal is charity and not authority.
For now, at a founding, we are all new. We are all Fellows. 'We get what we put in'- a tiered structure of membership from those who just think its a good idea and are willing to lend a dollar or a night of help, to those who have completed many missions for the good of all and the Watch to serve as the 'Black Guards', the watchers and ....angels of our nights. In the future it would be from the Black Guard that future council could be elected. "
Here he paused again, wishing he'd had the forethought to have brought up a pack of waterbottles. Wishing he still had Snowball in arm to therapeutically pet. "Were there any questions?"
Just let me know if I missed you! At this point, people are still allowed to join, though they should already have a Moon Pearl or be coming with someone who does.

Faust weighed the choice of cushion to warm shoulder for all of half a braincell before electing to conserve energy and simply refrain from moving off his perch. Thraen never objected to it in the past, and what was the addition of a Mauvian on one's shoulder during a public speech? While Faust never gave a speech before, or watched anyone do it, he figured that a fluffy cat to stare at likely eased the incredibly boring monotony of talking.
While Thraen issued his ideas, Faust often lost interest somewhere in the midst of it where he heard so many times the purpose and boons brought by the Watch. Instead he eyed the eternal's hair suspiciously, sniffing branches close to his form before spotting a butterfly lighted right next to his brooch. In full attack mode, the Mauvian hunched as close as he could without disturbing his prey before lashing out with teeth exposed, poised to catch those delicate wings.
Until those wings turned metal in his mouth.
Grunting, the cat pulled away and shook his head, licking his teeth to rid himself of the awful tinfoil sensation plaguing his mouth. And looking out at the audience... didn't seem like such a good idea. Instead Faust's attention fixated on a wall to his right, where he drew a huff while reassuring himself that no one noticed the exhaustion-fueled hunting attempt.
Besides, Thraen was almost done.
However, the bid for questions entailed that they both may stand up at the front for an indeterminate duration. Likely many questions, some posed like weapons and others curious, maybe helpful, will come of it. Carefully he settled onto his stomach, back feet pressed against the shallow slope of Thraen's shoulder to maintain balance. Time for the show.

The feeling of transporting to the moon was not terribly unlike the feeling Megrez got when she went to her homeworld; it was a sensation of movement, followed by a sensation of stopping and landing. The sight before her reminded her of that one visit to her homeworld, where she landed in an overgrown field and saw the ruined village. It wasn't too much of a shock to her, really, and she had learned to just accept the oddities of senshi life as they came. After taking in the scene, she said a quick "thank you!" to Ganymede and wandered off in some arbitrary direction. As she went, though, she spotted a familiar mint-haired senshi. "Hi, Cybele!" she said with a wave before finding a good cushion to plop down on.
Before she took a seat on the cushion, her attention was briefly drawn to the preening white cat (Snowball). He was very fluffy; she wondered if she could possibly sneak in a pat before the meeting was over. At that point, Thraen began his speech, and Megrez listened intently. She was mesmerized by his words; the Black Watch really did seem like an amazing thing. She was a little concerned about having to pay the tithe, but surely that could be ironed out. She held no suspicions at all towards the council to be established, or towards anything else about the Watch. Once again, she was starstruck.
Hvergelmir settled in on one of the soft cushions near the older of the two senshi she'd traveled up to the moon with, purloined blanket settled over her lap for warmth. It was a cozy gathering, despite how many people were there -- maybe because of the pillows and blankets, or maybe because it was the middle of the night, and people looked sleepily trusting and comfortable. Still, there was a lot to take in.
Sailor Thraen's speech was lengthy, but boiled down to concise points in generally plain language -- that made it easy to follow. And it was, frankly, a good set of ideas. A democratic set of ideas. Things, she figured, it ought to be pretty hard for people to find too much fault with.
Of course, who knew what might happen with too many cooks in the kitchen? But the principles were all there.
Or most of them were there, at least. Her own personal situation -- a lost senshi, whom no one seemed to be able to help her find, whose comrades it was hard to get in touch with -- had put her in mind of another difficulty, one that she didn't think was best solved by limiting the Watch's business to the Watch. The problem that, frankly, searching for a needle in a haystack was hardest of all when you had to search straw by straw.
She put up a hand. It was just about the height of horror to be raising her hand in front of this many people when no one else had said anything, but Carmine was always saying she had to start challenging herself. She'd start here. For Tara's sake.
"Um, hi," she said, looking nervously not at Thraen, but at a point somewhere over his shoulder -- until the noticed that his shoulder bore a cat, and she had to look somewhere else. She switched to a point somewhere over his other shoulder. "Hvergelmir of the Cosmos. I don't know if I have a question, so much as, um."
She looked around, gathering her thoughts. "So, like, this is a pretty big group of people, right? And let's say everyone here joins up -- that's a pretty good sized group of people: there's a lot you can do with, like, a couple dozen? But it's only a little, compared to how many people we have out there. So if this is a charity set up to help people who are looking for help, there's a lot we can do -- but it's not everybody. And I just thought maybe -- it would be good -- to try and set up not just a network of people who're involved in this, who'll do the actual watch work, but also a broader, secondary network of just everybody, something all anyone had to do was ping every so often. Like a phone chain -- everybody's got someone who's supposed to ping them every day to make sure they're okay, and somebody they're supposed to ping to do the same thing. So when somebody's missing, everybody knows. So when you meet somebody new, you add them to your chain until someone else takes over. And so we even know who's out there."
She looked around, wondering if what she was saying was old hat, something maybe the senshi had already covered and locked down. The knights certainly hadn't, at least. "I mean, is there already a roster out there somewhere with all of our names on it? Do we have one, and some of us just don't know about it? Because if we don't, I mean . . . they probably do. They shouldn't know more about us than we do."
She shrugged uncertainly, the sure sign of a person who thought she had something to say, but didn't think enough of herself to be the person to say it, and wanted to make sure the world knew she was aware of her place. She hadn't been a knight for very long, compared to most of the people here.
"I just thought, as a charity. There could be ways to help people even when they don't ask, too."
