Flushing Luti looked away. She did it wrong didn’t she? At least he wasn’t offended…peering up at him through her mane fluff the lioness smiled. There was something heartwarming about his laughter. I wouldn’t mind making him laugh more. Her gaze lit up at the thought before she blinked at the story.
“He must…really be focused on the afterlife.” Lutifiya nodded slowly, “I can appreciate his understanding of lives, yet it makes me sad to see death everywhere instead of life. Both coexist you know.” She laughed herself then, “Oh so if I call you a cute hare then you wouldn’t be insulted?” The lioness nudged him playfully, “But thank you. I hope our ancestors are always guiding us. It would be such a waste of knowledge and wisdom for spirits to just disappear. So I always loved thinking about them guiding instead. Quietly so we can still learn some yet not leaving us completely alone.”
The lioness shook her head, “That must have been intense. How did they sleep with enemies in everything around them?” The more she spoke with the lion the more at ease she was becoming. It was a natural feeling spending time with Hakizimana. Almost as if she had always been there at his side…Luti flushed. No such feelings were for her stories…not for her actual life.
“Hey now!” She blinked with wide eyes, “I trusted you with my life secret…” She shook her head playfully before grinning, “But since it’s already out then I suppose I can’t help but to let you try it too.” Her indigo eyes looked up towards the sky slowly, “But there’s not many clouds out now it seems.”
Maybe then it was another reason to see him again?
Her heart jumped at the thought, “Perhaps we can meet another time and try then?” She smiled hopefully, “As it is though I think your wonderful catch of the day might rot if we spend too much of the day talking here." Already the sun had moved so much since she had ran into him. How funny that time slipped away so easily when they were together like this.

"We didn't." He answered simply. There was always a patrol, always someone minding the borders and going out in pairs. It had been a hard system, but a solid one that had let the others within the interior get some peaceful shut eye.
"I think I might just enjoy that." He stretched and shifted into a standing position. "Better be useful while I've got the urge, hmm?" Hakizimana winked and with a little laugh he bent to snatch the bird back into his maw. Giving his best bow with the large bird draped between his legs he left to go on his own way.
