Yeah, the prices are crazy. I started to think it would start to go down when they removed the gold generators. But then today they brought them back. Not even a week after removing them. I gave the admin lead an earful, but I think it's falling on deaf ears. The Gaia staff are money hungry. They know many people will buy cash just to get rich quick on generators. It's so lame. People who can buy cash are already at a huge advantage, the gold generators just make it even worse. I already figured them out though. They want it to be impossible to buy most of the things you want without buying cash.

was a trick.
scream Basically, it informed new or
returning Gaian's that gold can be obtained easily with cash.
If a new user looked
at the market and saw the prices,
they would want a quick buck neutral
Also, by taking them out
and putting them back, they
make regular players scared of permanent removal.
That "Gotta Stock Up"
mindset creeps in....

I did it back then when I thought it was worth it and Gaia cared for us. It's not worth it anymore. They're not even trying to hide that they see us as potential money bags.

Yes, even when the Gaia staff have went ape s**t there are still good people to be found here. Real money on fake money, haha. I can't help it though. xD I am so spoiled. Really what justifies it for me is I have no real life. xD Normal people spend money to go to movies or other activities with friends. Recluse me doesn't participate in group activities. So instead of spending $20 on going to the golf course, going out drinking, ect.. I spend it here. Once I get a job I can't wait to be an auto subscriber again. But used to, I felt like I was helping this great company I love. Now it's all just my own greed. I miss the old days though when I felt I made a difference. Now I feel like I'm just fueling their greed with my greed. xD But at least I can admit I'm greedy, they won't. Haha.

Yeah... two different links on every page for GCash. Like the thing at the top wasn't enough. I've been trying to think about it like this.. we used to have 6 daily chance carts, and now we have 8. I wouldn't worry about giving your friend a present back. They probably had some extra money.. I know I've been making a fortune on these GoFusion charms. Gaia has had so many things like this... zOMG recipes, Paper exchange, fish exchange, alchemy.. and I find it's at least usually cheaper to just buy the item rather than craft it. I don't know why they bother with crafting.

I was in shock coming back on the site this past Saturday and seeing the gold they're putting into the random items for the day. 50,000 gold? All right, I was used to only getting maybe 300 sometimes. Also, I can't believe how much the marketplace has inflated either. It's crazy. It's like they want people to stay up all day in order to gather gold for their avatar.

angels losing sleep I was in shock coming back on the site this past Saturday and seeing the gold they're putting into the random items for the day. 50,000 gold? All right, I was used to only getting maybe 300 sometimes. Also, I can't believe how much the marketplace has inflated either. It's crazy. It's like they want people to stay up all day in order to gather gold for their avatar. Yep.. they want you to play 24/7.. and buy lots of cash!! I'm such a sucker. xD The inflation happened pretty suddenly I think. I was on hiatus a few months and was in shock too when I came back. It's so weird because to battle inflation their solution is gold sinks.. but the people with the most gold can just buy more gold generators when they get poor again. scream I'm too weak to swear off cash but I have sworn off gold generators. Many of us think that's what caused the inflation.

I'm on here a lot, but I don't have a job, haha. Working on it! As for buying cash, I don't really have a lot to spend on IRL. Gaia is what I do so putting some money into it is no big deal to me. I don't go out and I just don't want for anything really.. besides books but they are cheap at the used bookstore.

I lost interest in updating my avatar with the last hiatus, so all the announcements of things haven't phased me. I don't even feel like visiting TekTek because I'm satisfied with my avatar's look. So, although the greed is still apparent with all the little icons that keep floating about, I will only become upset about the site's greed when they make this free site and subscription. They've gone overboard with the money. They've pulled in so much, I don't see why they don't reinvent their MMORPG with it, but it's probably just another corporation like the rest of them, feeding off of people's addictions and desires to consume.

I found out the other day you can completely turn off announcements. There in your main settings. But I don't want all announcements off. Even having just cash shop announcements off would be great. But you can't pick and choose. Either all of them or none. I think I'll turn them off for my mules if I ever get around to it.Edit: Dumby me, it was guild announcements you can turn off. We don't want to do that. xD
