When Peyton had showed up at the designated time and place the text had suggested she'd find three, if not friendly, than at least positively familiar faces waiting for her. Dwight was given a fond grin and a wave, Simon a nod, and Edith received her full attention as she began setting out folders and explaining the missions available and what was to be expected from them. They all sounded interesting, missions usually did, at least at first, but it was the
missing bases that eventually held her interest.
Missing, and attacked, bases were a troubling thing, and if Peyton could help neutralize a threat some how, or solve a mystery, well, she'd do it.
File selected, it was suggested to her that she find some back up to take along, for safety reasons. A very good idea, considering how missions usually had a tendency to take sudden and unexpected twists, and usually not in pleasant ways.
A Moon was her best bet, and it just so happened her two best friends both happened to be in that division. She knew Taym was good on missions, had seen him fighting first hand, and he had very recently been promoted himself to full Hunter. He would have been a good pick, but Peyton was already used to working with America. They'd been an eclipse team more than once, and knew how the other worked. There would be no learning curve.
And if Taym stayed behind he could keep an eye on Astrid and Mikael for her while she and America we gone.
Decision made, she pulled out her phone and shot a few DMs.
