It indeed felt good to be out in the open again. The forests and woods always held a sense of adventure to her. Amber immediately turned ninja mode on as soon as they got to the edge of the forest. "Mission: Acquiring a dwelling fit for a growing family.." she turned to Lan grinning "How should we proceed.. Captain" she teased, brushing her side against him lovingly then bounding off to go inspect behind a nearby tree.

"Captain? me?" He rushed after her chuckling to himself. He didn't see himself as a captain, but he supposed he was the calmer more stoic of the two of them. Still... He shook his head, she was just teasing. "Right a growing family hmmm," he looked around, a copse trees...too wet, a place by the lake, too open.. "I don't think this is supposed to be so hard," he went towards some hills but the soild was much too soft to hold a cave or shelter of any kind.
"Perhaps more toward the east Amber?" He wondered. There didn't seem to be a lot around here in the way of opportune realty.

They walked on what felt like hours. The stopped at a clearing first, but Amber thought that was too small. Then, a beach, which Amber deemed too hot. Then a cave hidden in the woods "Too hidden" she had said. Then they finally came to a somewhat smaller Lake. "Not enough shade" amber mumbled. Amber knew Lan must be giving up hope of finding the perfect place. "Sorry Love, this is just not it" She nuzzled him. It needs to be perfect. "This lake seems familiar to me though... I cannot remember why" Amber frowned trying to remember as she paced back and forth.

Lan rolled his eyes, "Have you been to a lake at one point in your travels before you found me? And I don't think this is a small lake. It looks like Sandar, but I could be wrong." He heaved a sigh..."You seen any overhanging rocks?"
Well he could hope. They could have a little fire and do cave art, how was that not perfect?

"It isn't Sandar Lake, It's one of the smaller ones." Amber answered Lan."Ah! Now I remember!" she twirled around excitedly. "Serenne used to come here all the time!"
"I have an Idea Lan! Serenne is living at this place nearby now. We should go visit her!" Serenne used to get on her case a lot, and always scold her. But now that she had been gone for a little while, Amber was starting to miss her. "It will be fuunnn!" She pranced towards Lan not at all aware of how big with foal she was getting now....

Lan was somewhat concerned his exuberant little mare would tip over if she kept bouncing around like that, if he were that full of babies they would have to have two drafts drag his butt around but nothing seemed to phase the ultra strong mare in front of him, she was so beautiful.
"Sure love, what could a visit hurt?"

Amber led them through the woods and up a small hill and then through some more woods and a stream. By the she saw the roof of the Dojo in the distance, she was huffing and puffing. The weight of her belly, finally taking a toll on her. Sweating, she turned to Lan, "There is is" She smiled, "Isn't it gorgeous? Aaahhh! I'm so excited" She couldn't wait to get inside and visit with Serenne and her new friends. Plus, Serenne did not know about her and Lan, and... her belly.
Serenne heard rather than saw a familiar voice and thundering hooves running down the hill toward the Dojo. "Oh my!" she exclaimed, "Is that...Amber?!" She galloped outside to take a closer look and stopped at the front steps to the dojo, watching Amber, who was apparently... "Pregnant?!" Serenne galloped down to meet Amber "Amber! Stop! Stop! Don't you know you can't be doing things like that in your condition?" And then she glimpsed right behind Amber, to see a big black, menacing look stallion. Taking one look at his eyes, and seeing how he looked at Amber, Serenne understood what was going on there. "It is nice to see you Amber." She smiled "And who might you be sir?" she asked politely. "I am Serenne"

Lan looked at the dojo and began to assess its supposed beauty, he turned to say to Amber that it wasn't as humble looking as he had first thought it to be but she was no longer there, she was steaming down the mountain at a horribly swift pace, he drove down after praying that she would not fall but she seemed to be chatting happily with an oddly marked mare.
Lan inspected his mate when he caught up concern in his eyes. She appeared whole still, no marks, no dings, no whining. Sir? Him? He shook his head. "I am not sure I qualify as a "Sir" but my name is Lanthiron, I am Amber's mate."
Feeling as if it was right, he bowed to the mare. "A pleasure to meet you."
Lan then walked over to his mate and nuzzled her face, reinstating that she was here and his and still okay. He was not overly fond of new azrein but Amber trusted this mare so what was her paranoid mate to do?
