If she had known what Clara was thinking, she may have corrected her, though only in the part about studies. Why train your brain when you could be training yourself physically instead? And while she wasn't exactly stupid, she probably wasn't the brightest ghoul either. Just those typical slackers who liked having fun more than anything else.
But having Clara think she was a upper year? Well, it was flattering, really, and if anything, it would mean the ghoul would put her very best into fighting her, which she was.
While quick, it seemed her opponent was quicker, and she winced as the tigress delivered a powerful strike.
Well, she definitely had good taste in picking opponents, and she pulled back, taking a moment to take a quick breather.
"Just what I'd expect from an upper year." she smiled.

Clara stopped at Jala’s words. ”What do you mean ‘upper year’? I’m a second year! Aren’t you a third year?” Clara thought about it for a bit. That would explain why instead of the ghoul’s attacks beings stronger than hers, they were weaker. Because she thought Jala was more experienced and stronger, she was attacking with all her strength but maybe, since it was the exact opposite, she should be the one pulling her attacks? The tiger ghoul became a bit hesitant when it was her turn to attack.

Oh, had she really? Jala let out a chuckle.
"Oh, no, sweetie, just a first year. I suppose in the terms of this 'school', I might as well be a first-year for a while, as I have no interest in attending any of their 'mandatory' classes."
Really. Classes. Ugh. Harassing students and picking fights? Much more fun.
She sensed the ghoul's hesitation and frowned.
"But even so, I would hope you don't hold back. There's nothing more I hate than a half-hearted fight."
As if to prove her point, she dashed forth, claws sharp, swiping at the ghoul.

Clara could see that the chimera had meant it when she'd said she wanted it to be a serious fight because her strike had been her most powerful one so far. Very well, she would have to give her all then, too. After Jala's swipe, Clara crouched and gave a strong kick to Jala's legs.

A powerful strike, but Jala expected no less.
The kick made her stumble back, as her body had been posed forward for a strike, and with her center of balance thrown off, she found herself crouching forward to prevent herself from falling flat on her face.
"Good one" she gaped, catching her breath, and then straightened up, grinning.
"Did you really think you were fighting a third-year this whole time?

Clara was breathing heavily - it had been an intense fight, with the chimera dealing a good number of harsh blows. She was too embarrassed to answer Jala's question, so she just stood there.[A.V.] sorry this is so late OTL And SURE @ wrapping up~

Ah well, it didn't seem like the ghoul was planning on entertaining her question, and she DID have her fill of excitement for today. For now.
"Well, it was a pleasure meeting you, sweetie. I do hope we cross paths again."
With a little wave of her hand, she turned, hiding a little smirk as she left the gymnasium.yylaayl I'm sorry for the wait also slkdfjsdf And woo, wrap up!
