You are an fool and your ego bloats like a sun rotted corpse. When THEY come again, and find you alone, we will stand over your rider's mangled corpse and cluck our tongues over whatever message they choose to carve into your flesh. Assuming your FOOL has not shattered your bond by then, as he is already attempting to do. Keralder is right, you are blood sucking insects on the backs of those who attempt to bring good into the world. You are no sister to me. My sisters are not tunnel snakes who think it benefits anyone to try and barter for someone to lick their riders a** when he cannot handle that someone does not think he is the daintiest and the prettiest. Had you any NON corrupt bones in your body, your desire for TRUTH would outweigh your dainty sugar coated feelings. Clearly they do not. Your purity rotted before you were shelled and I will suffer none of your TAINT.
"I am going to strangle you, and then Yevalee, and then..." Keralder snarled, now trying to lift a very angry dragon, who he was very keenly aware, was still very pointy and very much an predator, even if she couldnt hurt him on purpose.
"Where the shaff is the candidate master?"
Surely there was something you could do for an outraged dragon that had taken it into her head to eliminate someone elses dragon, even if she was too occupied being angry to share exactly what Sleuth had done. Clearly it didn't involve 'coming to one safe point and helping the others not get attacked. Attacking the Weyr leader was a bold stroke, and it had been done quickly, but just as quick was the message that something HAD happened, so he wasn't sure they could have gotten far. And the list of suspects who might feel they had something to gain was... well it was bigger than he liked.
Clearly people were angry about their clutch, and angry at T'gall for having supported it, and it was a very final way of saying they would not let little things like -law- stand between them and removing what they saw as a blight on the Weyr.
...OK he could sort of sympathize with that. Sometimes laws protected the status quo and not the people that needed protecting, but T'gall.... he wasn't innocent but he'd stood up for them, and he was almost positive that played a very large role, and that if any of their eight was not currently in fear for their own life...
Well you couldn't fix that kind of problem. That kind of problem usually fixed themselves in a particularly terminal way.

Z'fer
Z'fer just nodded to Ko'ren, his focus on keeping his grip under T'gall's shoulders and moving as quickly as possible to save the man's life. When he heard a younger voice address him he turned and gave Yevalee a look that all too obviously read as 'are you dimglowed?' Keep people from recognizing who this was? Sure, hide the face of the tall dark man with long dreads and an opulent sense of fashion. That was going to prevent people from knowing who he was. Not that the news wasn't probably all over the weyr right now anyways between gossipy drudges, dragons and firelizards; and Balith screaming outside.
"We don't have time to be concerned with that." Was all that he shot over his shoulder as he hadn't stopped moving. The kid should have followed B'tes's orders already anyways. Dancing wasn't going to save the day here.
Zarike
Zarike attempted a reassuring smile at Vanavia, but it appeared as more of a strained grimace as he knelt beside his dragon's head, still gently chaffing the soft hide of his face. "No... I don't think so." His voice broke from the force of trying to keep it steady. "...He just needs to wake up."
"Wait. What happened to the Weyrleader?!" Zarike only then registered what Kidder had said, and that it was Balith keening on the heights. A new surge of alarm flashed through him as he twisted to find the adult brown. As long as he was there the Weyrleader was still alive. He turned back as Peth's outermost eyelids cracked open, revealing a dim yellow of confusion still half hidden within the innermost lid. Zarike felt a stirring in his mind but no actual words as of yet. Peth. Peth. I need you to wake up. Things are bad and we might need to move real fast. With his dragon stirring, he lifted his large head into his lap. "Come on Peth. Wake up!"
Yevalee was missing and something had upset Marloth judging by the wrestling match she and Keralder were currently engaged in. "What the shaff is going on?!"

Yevalee and Sleuth Yevalee whisked by a few drudges, ignoring any vocal reply in favor of attempting to fix this sudden mess. 'And I don't care if it will lead Marloth to think she won or got the last word. You are not to reply to your sister.' He ordered, working on getting distance. 'Really, what did you say to get Marloth so worked up?' Sleuth huffed, twitching her tail. Sleuth was sure she could. How difficult could it possibly be. "You.. ooh, Sleuth." He ran a hand through his short stubble, shaking his head. "Darling, we need to talk. And if you could do me a favor and tell at least Horteth and Peth where we are going." Sleuth responded, slinking slightly before reaching out to Horteth first. Message relayed, she then reached carefully to Peth.

Kialynka
She raced through the halls and whipped around corners as quickly as she could. Her mind focused on getting through the halls as quickly as she could, and avoiding those to dim to move out of the way. Kia dodged a rider with an outstretched hand and kept going.
Breathing deeply, but hardly out of breath, she snagged the first healer to come within reach as she entered the healer's domain. Quickly she repeated her message, "Weyrleader severely injured and coming, make immediate preparations."

"When she stops trying to find a way to go murder Sleuth and tells me what Yevalee's damn dragon did, I'll let you know." An exasperated, some what winded Keralder promised. "I don't suppose you want to help me get her inside? Maybe we can put a door between them before she gets her way... i'd say she was going to try and make them come to the barracks, but somehow I don;t think she'd have just given me a splitting headache bellowing about 'Justiiiiice'." He was a bit sarcastic as he repeated this last word, which earned him an frustrated snarl from Marloth. will not come here and she tried to extort us!> She raged, still trying to escape Keralder's grip. "... Great." Keralder sounded even more exhausted when Marloth finally decided to share. "Yevalee apparently went to the scene of the attack and they aren't coming here. I don't know if they're still there or if they moved, but they aren't on their way I don't think, and something about extortion...." "... Apparently she told Marloth that I had to be 'nicer' to Yev or she wouldn't tell anyone what she saw. I'm guessing that didn't fly given the whole murderous rage bit." He relayed, dutifully, with an eye roll so profound that it came close to resembling a planetary orbit. "Seriously? The Weyrleader gets attacked and we're hung up on Golden Boys feelings? ...Shaff you don't think that whoever it was might be hiding at the Baracks?" he asked suddenly. Marloth's paranoia was wearing off on him. "I mean they already went for the Weyrleader..."

So there was nothing they could do? That was a shame. Vanavia had hoped there was something, even if it was as simple as fetching something. She wasn't a healer. Vanavia looked at the two and felt so sorry for the pair. Peth was a lovely brown and Zarike had never given her a reason to dislike him, yet they had to deal with this. Who knew if this would get better? She hoped it would. "He's been attacked. At least that's what Balith is saying." She doubted the dragon would lie and B'tes hadn't come back yet so she assumed it was serious. Marloth if anything also seemed to be reacting as though it were serious, although she seemed more angry than anything else. I think it was Sleuth, Horteth said quietly, that was what the green's words suggested. Sure enough Keralder soon backed that up. Horteth turned his attention to the others in his class, without bringing Marloth into it. Sleuth and Yevalee have gone to the public baths. She asks you not tell Marloth. He didn't like shutting Marloth out of anything, but he had to, for Sleuth really. Marloth seemed most displeased with what was happening and he really didn't want to make it so that she could actually do damage to their sister. He also didn't let Vanavia in on the information. She'd be better off not knowing, then she wouldn't have to lie to Keralder by saying she didn't know where they were or where they were going. Really Vanavia wasn't sure what to say on the matter of Sleuth and Marloth fighting. True Sleuth shouldn't really withhold information, but at the same time it wouldn't hurt Marloth to be nice to her. Then there was the idea that the attacker could be in the Barracks. "I wouldn't think so... I mean if they had something against the Weyrleader then it might be too obvious to come after us immediately after." After all it had been her first assumption.

And this wasn’t anywhere near the public baths, he must have gotten turned about somewhere. Yevalee sighed and sat down, looking at Sleuth. “We are going to be in so much trouble.” He raked his hand through his hair, lips pressed tight. “So, after you offered this deal, what did Marloth do?” He needed to fix this so he could return to the barracks. Sleuth said irritable and huffed. Her tail twitched in an irritated rhythm. “Alright, I want you to apology to your sister for spurring her on. Marloth is zealous and you can’t argue with fanatics. And whatever problem Keralder has with me is between him and myself. I’ll handle it Sleuth.” He had hoped things would smooth out, but perhaps it is time for them to have a talk. Yevalee doubt he would get anywhere but it seemed Sleuth wasn’t going to let it lie. Sleuth rumbled and set her head on his lap. She huffed, reaching out to Marloth. She said, a slight hiss to the s on her disfavor of apologizing at all coloring her tone.

Sekimith said decisively to Sleuth, the brown dragon’s voice imbued with the heat of molten metal and the roll of thunder and flash of white hot lightning. Sturm and drang indeed. obey orders and return to barracks with your fellows, or you will face the consequences of disobedience> If they did not listen, the Weyrlingmaster could not keep his charges safe… but then again, maybe it was better to winnow out the no-hopers now, before anyone got their hopes up.
“Keralder, get your dragon under control!” B’tes snapped as the sixty-turn old returned to the group of weyrlings and doing a quick headcount. The usually kindly weyrlingmaster was clearly in no mood to shaff around. “Zarike, how is Peth? As soon as you can move him, we’re all returning to barracks, including you seniors - put your hand down Rensoua. The Weyrleader has been assaulted, and I want you all where I can see you” He took a deep breath, the exertion clearly telling.
Ko’ren let Z’fer handle the shellfool weyrling, keeping his own mouth zipped tightly shut as they heaved the Weyrleader’s limp body down the corridors towards the infirmary. His Morth was snapping out quick orders to the rest of second wing, as well as getting in contact with the other wingleaders…
Kialynka's sudden appearance and announcement had the approximate effect on the healers' domain as a boot has on an ant's nest. Suddenly people were moving every which way, some herding apprentices aside and others rushing to prepare themselves.
Amarid herself approached the drudge girl at a half run, her expression grim. "What do you know girl? What's his condition? Are there any others wounded?"

Kialynka
She pressed her back into the wall as healers started scurrying around. Kia glanced at the healer that approached. She'd rather expected to be questioned on what she knew. The girl swallowed the bile that rose to her throat. "Unconscious near as I could tell. He wasn't moving though alive, and two riders were carrying him. His eyes.." she trailed off for a moment then coughed, "he doesn't have his eyes anymore." Kia shook her head, "not that I know of."

"I'm trying to calm her down. She's calmer than she was." Keralder huffed. "Yevalee's dragon got her all riled up. I think they were checking out what happened."
God he wanted Yevalee to stew right now, it was him and his stupid dragon that caused all of this. He hated getting in trouble when he hadn't even accomplished anything.
Marloth growled, and deliberately went limp, glaring at everyone, including B'tes. Look how calm she was. She was so calm she was an uncooperative noodle. HOW WAS THAT FOR UNDER CONTROL.
"Marloth..." Keralder growled, completely exasperated.
